The hotel was very nice and the staff was extremely courteous. Our room was not the one I had booked online. I booked a 2 bdrm suite and we were given a 1 bdrm suite. The staff was able to move us to the correct room. However, we had to pay an additional $20 for the upgrade. The staff apologized for the problem and did everything to make our stay comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very good and had a large variety of items.

Nice hotel, quiet, comfortable, good breakfast, fun drive (about 20 min.) to Road Atlanta along winding country roads.

Located in Stone Mountain (Decatur - Stone Mountain), Best Western Stone Mountain is close to Stone Mountain Park.

Stayed for two nights. Room was clean and comfortable. The beds are very firm, but not an issue for me. Downstairs rooms are for those with pets and smokers. As there are no elevators, you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs if you want a non-smoking room. The breakfast was okay, but the breakfast area is small and can get crowded. We took a family vacation to Stone Mountain, couldn't have asked for a better location, great price, decent place to stay. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was nice, and mostly clean. The only complaint was our non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes. The location to stone mountain was great, and there is tons of shopping and quick bites in the area.

the staff was nice, but the room needed to be updated badly. 1990's TV the outside , the room door was NASTY. The neighborhood you have to drive thru to get to the hotel, lock your doors and have your children slump down to avoid bullets

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Pets are allowed in designated rooms & we were able to bring our dog with us. The room was clean & had no signs of pets staying there previously. I would definitely stay there again & would recommend to anyone. The staff is also very pleasant & it is in a very good location.

"The Bestwestern Hotel in Stone Mountain"
The hotel was in a good location however, upon arriving in our room, we immediately encountered a musty smell and the room was extremely humid. Although the room appeared clean, the dirty carpet and the smell made my stay extremely uncomfortable.

We went to Six Flags on Friday and then were going to Stone Mtn the next. So we chose this hotel because it was a great price, it was close to Stone Mtn. and it included free breakfast. When we got in our room the air was turned off(probably to save electricity)so turned it on went to dinner at Outback which was pretty much in the next plaza over and […] when we returned our room was very cold. The kids enjoyed the pool before bed. The water was warm and pool was clean. Next morning for breakfast they had cereal, muffuns, pastries, bagels, bananas, waffle maker coffee and juices. The only thing good about the motel was its close proximity to the Stone Mountain Park. The neighborhood was a little shaky. They even had to lock the lobby at night. We needed an extra blanket and they were reluctant to provide it. We needed an extra set of towels and they were reluctant to provide those. We had 4 people in the room and only 3 sets […] of towels. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The pool was nice and so was the breakfast. The only complaint is that the carpets are very dirty in the rooms. Wear black socks or sandals or your feet will be black. My daughters socks were extremely dirty and so were our feet. The carpets really do need cleaned badly. I enjoyed my stay during the memorial day holiday, the services from front desk to room services were great. I felt so relaxed and please with the entire services and courtesy shown to me as a guest. Was a nice stay. Probably deserved 4.5 stars from me but all in all it was fine and for a great price. The bed was very comfortable and the sink was outside the bathroom so easy to get things done with more than one person. Breakfast was far better than most continentals. Even had waffle maker and real juices.

This hotel had the right price for Stone Mountain. The staff was friendly, and I appreciated how close the hotel was to everything. Driving and getting around was really easy.
"You get what you pay for"
This hotel is what you expect. The only issue I had was with the mattresses. They really need to invest in newer, better mattresses/box springs. Breakfast bar wasn't bad ... no eggs or meat. The place isn't a resort, but if you need to sleep someplace, this is a decent hotel. I just wish they had better beds.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Best western stone mountain. Very friendly staff. Clean and very convenient Walmart and other stores around the hotel. Easy access to stone mountain and other attractions. Definitely recommend and go back. Thumbs Up!!!!

I have "mixed feelings" on this place, the location, cleanliness were great, it is VERY close to Stone Mtn. Park. I checked in at approx. 5 pm on a Friday. The yard cleanup crew was there...and I needed sleep "right then", so they kept me up for a while. I would think early morning or mid-day would be better for yard maintenance. I had a ground floor […] room, great for me. The steps for the 2nd floor must have been right outside my room, incredibly loud every time someone would go up and down! I will skip the group of 10 people "having a loud discussion" right outside my room as a fluke, they finally dispersed. (I almost called the front desk to inquire why people were standing in a parking place being loud) The room had a refrigerator, it worked fine, but "clicked" a lot on and off, finally had to unplug it to sleep. So I did get my rest finally, loved the location, and free wifi which was a good perk. Read more

"Best Western Stone Mountain"
This hotel was clean and great location if you are going to Stone mountain. It is no frills but that was ok with us. We just wanted a clean decent place to stay after Stone Mountain and this was great for that. Also had a nice breakfast area with free breakfast. There was also a Outback Steak House nearby so that was nice for a quick dinner.

Best Western Stone Mountain was a great, inexpensive hotel for visiting Georgia Tech. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, several restaurants were near, and the outdoor pool was a welcome relief from the heat.
