This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.

Location.
Located across the street from Aberdeen Centre and less than 5 kilometers from Vancouver International Airport, the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport occupies a convenient location in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. Historic Steveston Fishing Village is positioned 8 kilometers from the hotel.

"Very convenient"
I staid at this hotel about 5 years ago, liked it and found this stay even better. The hotel (a medium grade property) has been refreshed - as has the neighborhood around it. For anyone not familiar with the area, it has a very high Chinese population with many restaurants, some of which serve reasonably authentic food. I had originally reserved a car […] but cancelled it on the recommendations of the night desk clerk. There is a light rail/subway connection (Skytrain, Canada line) a few hundred feet from the hotel making a cheap and easy way to get downtown. Read more

The staff was very helpful at every point of contct from Check-in to room Service. I was greeted with a friendly smile every time. Great hotel i would definitely recommend it to others. If i find myself in the area in the future i will choose The Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport.
"Hotel radisson in Richmond"
Overall it is good location, friendly and helpful staffs, clean, free parking, reasonable for the price. I do not care for the coffee pot, cups and tray set In the bathroom. The bathrom has no fan. The first night, the room has mini fridge. The return night, the room does not have a mini fridge as advertised.

"raddison hotel"
everything was all good... my ONLY complaint was that the walls were thin. Everytime my neighbors used their sleep number bed, we can hear the motors running. Even when people were walking by the halls, you can hear them. It was a little annoying, but besides that everything was good.
"Perfect layover location"
Excellent experience. This was the perfect place for us to relax after a long flight from Venice. We were obviously upgraded to a large view room. The transfers from/to the airport were prompt and courteous. Thank you
"Very convenient location, close to restaurants"
This hotel is in a very good location - close to many restaurants, shopping malls and markets. It is near the major highways and close to Vancouver airport. Service is excellent. We had a few minor problems, which were all corrected immediately. Would stay at this hotel again.

"Radisson at the Airport in Richmond"
This hotel is in the middle of Richmond right next to Yohan Asian shopping plaza. The Vancouver Skytrain station is just half a block away, so it is convenient if you are not planning to have a car. If you are driving, please note that this hotel is about 15 miles from the Vancouver city center, and it takes 30 minutes driving to get to downtown Vancouver […] since there is no highspeed freeway that goes all the way to Vancouver. If you like Chinese food, you are in heaven. Richmond some of the best Chinese restaurants in North America. There are hundreds on excellent Chinese (especially Cantonese) restaurants within 1-4 blocks distance. Some of the Chinese restaurants have fresh seafood specials for $8.99 a lb lobsters and $14.99/pound king crabs. Wonton noodles are excellent Hong Kong style as well. The hotel service is good. The hotel description advertised that they have the "Number bed", but our room didn't have it. The front desk was able to switch us to a room with the "Number bed", but I am not impressed with the Number bed though. The service personnel was always friendly and helpful. The rooms themselves are not that good. The hotel needs serious upgrade to maintain its 3 star rating. The bathroom has the damp smell, and our bed had either dust or hair. The carpet was dirty. Some of the door and window hardware were falling apart. Overall, if you are a single traveler or business traveler and don't stay in the hotel room much, then this is a convenient location with a reasonable price (half of the prices of hotels in downtown Vancouver). If you are a family traveling with a picky spouse and small children, this is not the place to book. Read more
"Light Rail"
The hotel is in a very convenient location however if you get a room on the side of the hotel next to the light rail be sure to bring ear plugs (we did) otherwise it will be difficult to sleep.

we could not get good instructions on public transit. so after going out we gave up and came back to hotel. we only had 24 hours in vancouver and was hoping to see alot of the city. we also had trouble with vending machines. they were empty. my husband had to go to front desk which sent him to a market nearby, but that was aforeignstore and this presented […] a slight problem. that evening we noticed a gift shop which sold cold drinks....duh. mostly upset about public transportation. there was not anything located in this area. the hotel should offer rides for a fee to the downtown area and it would make it easier to sightsee. i would pay the fee. "Radisson Hotel - Vancouver Airport"
The hotel was only a few minutes away from the airport. The shuttle service was prompt in picking us up and taking us back to the airport. The hotel was in a good location. There was a super market right next door and a shopping center across the street. The metro was on the corner and there were restaurants within easy walking distance. The room […] was large and looked as though it had just been redecorated. It was very comfortable. We had the buffet breakfast in the hotel dining room (not included). "Centrally located hotel near many chinese shops"
Large well appointed room with a nice bed and bedding. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was slightly small but totally adequate. Generally, the hotel is in good shape but some of our furniture had small dings and damage. The hotel is centrally located in Richmond (new China Town). "Airport Radisson Vancouver"
Hotel is in a great location. Near the sea wall for running, skytrain and bus stops less than 100m away. Lots of Asian restuarants and fast food outlets nearby. We would stay here again.

"Comfortable, Updated, Nicely Appointed"
This hotel is one I've stayed at twice for business, and will do it again. The beds are very comfortable and clean, and appointments are very nice. The details have not been overlooked with this hotel. Quality service, with an updated modern yet comfortable feeling is my opinion of this hotel. I do not have any suggestions to make this hotel better, […] although two things. The bathroom seems small - which was fine for me since I was travelling alone, however if my spouse had been there, it could be tight in the mornings getting ready. The other only criticism I would have is that on my first visit, light rail "air train" had not yet been completed. Now that it is completed, and there is a train stop just outside the hotel (which is nice and convenient!), the brakes on the train squeaking to a stop can be a bit distracting. The windows do a good job at shielding from the noise, but it can be heard in the rooms on that end of the hotel. Overall: A- from this very critical frequent business-hotel user. Read more
"Need Service improvement"
We forgot our pillow and left in the hotel room after we check out. We called the hotel after we were on our way to Seattle. We had a hardest time to contact the hotel. No one answer the call and finally about hour and half later and finally someone accepted our call. We explained our situation and she said will call us back for detail and never call […] back. We finally arrived and called the hotel again and they tried to connect us to room service and no one answer. We left the message and never called back. So I still don't know what happen to my pillow. I believed the service is very marginal and I expected Radisson Hotel is do better than that. One more thing is you can hear the next room conversation and seems like the noise isolation is not good at all. I can hear both side of the room. I don't expected the 4/5 stars hotel will have this type of issue. Read more
"Great location"
1. great location - close to restaurants and shopping 2. lighting in room was a little dim 3. check out took longer than necessary since the check out person was busy typing on his phone and did not see me waiting at the front desk. 4. check in counter person was super nice

"New train goes downtown, sleep number bed, great breakfast"
The new train line picks up across the street and goes downtown. Free internet, free shuttle to/from the airport, nicely decorated contemporary rooms, comfortable beds and nice bedding, good blackout drapes. Exceeded my expectations for a layover stay.

"Good Food!"
Lots of food in the surrounding area if you love authentic HongKong foods and little shop. This is the place to be, loved the hotel, wifi, compl breakfast, and other amenities. Highly recommend!
