"Decent place in Tribeca"
The night we stayed, there were no problems or any snafus. I was just disappointed, I guess. I remember when the TG had just been built and the fanfare was huge, and I thought this would be a spectacular place to stay and experience, and frankly, it was just ok. When you stay anywhere, often its a combination of the details that an either make for an […] overwhelmingly positive or negative stay, or just a meh one. The lobby is really nice, several stories high with an interior view all the way to the top floor. The room decor, though, while newish, seemed very dated. The TV remote was hard to work; we couldn't figure out how to check out from it. The bathroom counter is stainless steel with a hole into the trash, into which things kept falling. The shower had a water conservation gismo that allowed only a high pressure spray, not at all satisfying. The black out blinds were about 90%, the other 10% extremely bright light sources. I could on, but you get the idea. It was comfortable and nothing cataclysmic, but I would have expected any of that from a cheap chain hotel, not the Tribeca Grand. Pleased about every aspect: location, staff, facilites, comfort and scale. This is a quiet getaway within reach of all that New York has to offer.Genuine Expedia guest review

"The BEST NYC Hotel!"
This is my second stay at the Tribeca Grand. Again it was a wonderful experience. The staff are excellent, caring and the location is the best. I feel very comfortable and safe when I am there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Why would anyone want to stay in mid-town?"
Tribeca is so much more fun than any of the options north of Houston. The charm, the restaurants, the shops, the ambiance the centrality of all the tradition of old New York is in Tribeca. Not to mention the Hipsters! The Tribeca Grand is located in the heart of Tribeca. The staff is great - hotel is fun (especially at night). By-by mid-town....Genuine Expedia guest review
"College tour trip with daughters."
I was traveling with two daughters and thought we were getting two double beds, but instead got a double and a sleeper sofa. Other that the sleeper, accommodations comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Short trip but we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go again. My boyfriend and I already live in NY but wanted a change of scenery for the night and the TriBeCa Grand definitely delivered! We will be back soon...Also, the rooms are a little small but that's expected in NYC. Rooms rates usually start at $506 a night but hotels.com got as a […] rate of $199 per night! Can't beat that! Future visitors of TriBeCa Grand will not be disappointed! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best in NYC"
This was my 5th stay at the Tribeca Grand and as usual it is an extremely pleasant experience. The rooms are amazing, staff is extremely helpful and courteous, location is perfect (Canal St. Subway is right next door) and the experience is great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Satisfied with Tribeca Grand (for the price)"
We stayed at the Tribeca Grand at the recommendation of our son, because he works nearby and we wanted to be convenient to him. For a NYC hotel, the price was very reasonable (under $300/ night). The room was a decent size (for New York), with a large window and a nice view. The downsides: bulbs out and a sluggish toilet when we arrived; not enough […] accessible outlets, and we could hear the elevator throughout the night. Some of the furniture looked a bit worn. According to my husband, the workout area was mediocre, with poorly maintained equipment. The upsides: very friendly and responsive staff -- toilet and bulbs were fixed immediately. I did not ask to be moved because of the elevator, but I'm sure they would have accommodated m, and I probably should have asked for a surge protector with additional outlets. I'm not sure I would stay in Tribeca again because it's not really convenient to any of the things I like to do in NYC, but if I did, I would return to the Tribeca Grand because it is well-situated in the neighborhood and a good value. Pleasant experience except for the unexpected middle of night loud argument by adjoining room. Management responded to concern professionally. Generally impressed by hotel and would return if in area again.Genuine Expedia guest review

The TriBeCa Grand is why one stays at a hotel. The hotel has style, great location if you want to spend time in TriBeCa/SoHo, and a friendly and helpful staff that makes the hotel your home in NYC.Genuine Expedia guest review

"A "Happening" Hotel"
I booked this because I had heard how fun this hotel was. On a Saturday night be prepared for loud music until 3am. Sunday was Very quiet though. So depending on the night you will have a noise level on Friday & Saturday. The hotel is beautiful and Tribecca is a very fun neighborhood - we had dinner at Nobu near by and you can walk to shopping.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The staff at Tribeca Grand were very friendly and helpful -- and being offered a glass of champagne at check-in is always nice! The hotel is in a great area of the city, close to terrific restaurants. Our room was super comfortable. Only slight annoyance: we could hear the sounds of the elevator mechanics throughout the night. But, overall a terrific […] night away with my husband. We would definitely go back! "Better than I expected"
I had low expectations given it's a New York Hotel. I was expecting it to be too small, hip but pretentious. What I found was very pleasant. First the size of the room was pretty adequate. It's not a large place but definetly comfortable. I really liked the decoration. Inside the hotel, there's a big atrium. In fact all (yes all) of the rooms do look […] the inner coffee area when you get out of your room. That creates a huge sense of space. Very nice. The only hiccup I had was with a breakfast service. Last day I waited a bit for a table than was seated. For a 20-30 minutes no one even looked at us. I had to reach maitre'd to get a service. Hotel made up for this hiccup by not charging for the bfast. Also it was really a unique and isolated event. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
High hopes for this location, but what I found looks very much like a hipster version of an embassy suites, with the motel-like internal atrium. Restaurant was OK, room fine - but not really what was expected. In addition, after granting us a late (2pm) checkout (and planning our morning around that), we received a call at around noon asking why we […] were still in the room. Not only had the receptionist not recorded the late checkout, but the person now calling effectively accused us of being dishonest and telling us that late checkouts were not available. Very poor customer service. Will not return here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hip, cool, couples getaway"
Love the hotel decor, furnishings, atmosphere, and service. Great staff, no attitude, hip place to stay in a great neighborhood. The lobby lounge/bar area is very cool, but at night the scene is "trying too hard". I'd suggest re-vamping the music, menu and target audience for the evening lounge. Otherwise, we loved everything about our stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great SErvice, Excellent place"

"Excellent Boutique Hotel for Area Exploration"
The hotel was just perfect for our objectives, which included exploring Tribeca, SoHo, Financial District and other adjacent areas. Loved the small scale of this upscale boutique hotel which gave it a more personal feel. Staff were very gracious and accommodating. Great bar area. Very close to subways and located in the heart of Tribeca. Concierge was […] very helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It was one of the coolest hotels I've ever stayed in. I brought my 10 yr old and my teenager to Tribeca Grand. They loved it, too.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not worth the money...."
The hotel is not worth the money! Ripped bed sheets, two light bulbs were out. There was no 24 hour parking nearby (within 2 blocks or so). Better off at the W, The Standard, Smyth or even the SoHo Grand. Very Disappointed!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great NYC hotel out of crowded midtown"
loved the hotel; the only negatives were: 1. wasn't crazy about the bathroom setup; particularly the metal vanity area and 2. they sent our luggage to the wrong room; we got it back without any issues so no harm no foulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved our weekend getaway. The hotel is very hip and fun. Would go back again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Champagne upon check in!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
TriBeCa Grand has a great location. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating; the front desk, concierge, and doormen were outstanding! Two negatives about the hotel: The lighting in our room was very poor, dimly lit hard to see. The bathroom had a dull yellow tint to the light , for a woman not ideal. Secondly ~ the staff in the lounge/bar […] and restaurant were unfriendly and rude. My husband and I were in New York on business. As guests in the hotel we were turned away two nights in a row form having a drink in the lounge with no concern or care that we were quests in the hotel one night the rude host with a terrible attitude pointed to the bar and said "that's it" we walked in and waited for over 15 mins, we got up and walked out. Fortunately the very professional and friendly concierge working that night made every effort to make things right for us, which was greatly appreciated. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bad Attitude can Spoil the Stay... AGAIN"
The TriBeCa Grand is comfortable and a nice change from other more touristy areas of NYC. However for the second time, the service in the lounge was less than acceptable. After being ignored twice by the server, we asked for help to which the reply was "Were you seated?" There had been no one at the desk of the lounge to seat us. Then she didn't even […] bother to deliver the drinks, but instead continued to visit with her friends. This is the second time that the Lounge service was poor. Then when we wrote the manager, a beverage was offered in the way of appology. We live in Dubai! Not at all acceptable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"very good for business traveler"
I was very surprised that the quality of the hotel was outstanding. Also, a computer in the room, which was very usefulGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was very nice and worked out well for us. Some of the nice amenities were the coffee/tea room on each floor, room service was awesome, and hotel staff was great. The only issue we had was the noise level. we were trying to get away for a weekend and relax but at night the lobby bar club was loud and can be heard throughout hotel as it is an […] atrium. overall i would stay again and you need to ask for a quiet room and they have some in the back. Staff moved us around to accommodate us and the noise level. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Disappointed and wish I wasn't"
The lobby and sitting areas are stunning....the atrium style of the rooms makes for very small spaces, very tight rooms noisy heating system and hard to get it to shut off bathroom floor/tub looked like a moderate hotel chain...really surprised by all of thisGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent hotel, except a bar is not a restaurant"
Overall, I was extremely pleased with my stay at the Tribeca Grand. My room was excellent, clean, attractive and had very comfortable amenities. The service in the hotel was excellent. They went out of their way to accommodate me. The work out room had sufficient equipment for my needs. The lobby, restaurant and bar area are beautiful. A coffee bar, […] on my floor and near my room, had decent, free coffee - not true fresh brew but still more than you expect to find other than in a coffee shop or restaurant. My one and only complaint was with the hotel's restaurant. There were no tables available in the dining room so I was offered a table in the bar, where you have to get up and order off the restaurant menu from the bartender. In other words, I was being asked to pay restaurant prices without a waiter or waitress. That is completely unacceptable. It is wrong to expect to be paid full price for half of something. A bar is not a restaurant. Fortunately - and this makes treating the bar as an extension of the restaurant, but without service, truly puzzling -, the neighborhood is filled with fine restaurants. So, I walked the neighborhood and found a terrific restaurant, with excellent food at lower price. Other than my experience with the restaurant, I thought the hotel was truly excellent.
