"Great choice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

"Good mid-price choice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.
"2 nights in Vancouver."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.

"Great service, nice room, great location"
My family of four very much enjoyed our stay at the Listel. The desk staff was uniformly friendly and helpful, offering good advice on directions and places to eat. Room was comfortable and clean. The original artwork throughout the hotel is a nice touch. Definitely where we'll stay next time we're in Vancouver.

"Great Hotel while attending conference"
This was a great hotel. Very clean, friendly staff and the location was very convenient to Stanley Park, shopping, transit, restaurants and the convention center. O'Doul's restaurant in the hotel was superb!
"Listel Hotel"
The only recommendation for the hotel is to provide better toilet paper.

"Great location and rate, but..."
Hotel is in a terrific location in the heart of the shopping district. It is an older hotel, looks like maybe an old Days Inn from the 70s or 80s. It has been updated, but the rooms are ready for another makeover. Carpet was worn, not nearly enough easily accessible power outlets, on off button on tv was broken, and wi fi service was spotty, at best. […] It is about a mile to the convention center, and a very pleasant, safe walk. I only ate one meal in the restaurant because I thought it was pricey, given all the great places around and my general suspicion of food from hotels. I would stay there again, but I would also look at other options first. Read more
"The Greenest and Most Art-full hotel in Vancouver"
Something I didn't know about The Listel Hotel until I walked in is that it is the greenest hotel in Vancouver! I was completely caught by surprise and this fact made me feel a bit better about staying at the hotel. If you're looking to have fun in the Granville Entertainment District, there are hotels which are much closer to the strip. The cookies […] which they gave us at the end of our stay were too crunchy/hard. Read more
"Cool sculptures"
I loved this place; Small hotel feel & they gave me a great room. They had a jazz band playing in the dining room. Close to shops, but a distance from the airport train so take a taxi.if you have bags!
"Excellent, unique hotel in a great location"
How often do you check into a hotel where one of your favorite poems is printed on the glass by the front door, and then you find that there's a compost bucket in your nicely apportioned room. They also let me make free long-distance calls to the US from my room phone, which was a great blessing since my US cell phone was not working. Pretty good fitness […] center (for a hotel), and a great location within walking distance to Stanley Park and very close to lots of shops and authentic Asian restaurants. Read more
"Downtown Hotel - easy access to Robson St"
The hotel is easy to get to, and access. Its location is within walking distance to the water, and other local must sees. Hotel is pretty clean, and rooms comfortable. The beds are quite comfortable, and very warm. Bathrooms are a little small but functionable. Unfortunately we had some alley construction going on the next morning that woke us up. Not […] too pleasant. The service was really good. The only thing I would recommend is that the bellhop be more assertive on getting the luggage out of the trunk. My friends reported that they had to get their luggage out for the bell hop. Odoul's breakfast was great. And the service also. Javier Read more
"Better than expected"
I attended a large science conference, and all the rooms near the convention center were booked. I found the LIstel on the internet, and booked it based on reviews. The hotel exceeded my expectations. I loved my stay there. I stayed on the Museum floor, with art displayed in the hallway. Room was airy, clean, comfortable, and lovely.

"Post VDay Weekend Retreat!"
If you're looking for a romantic weekend, then I definitely recommend booking a suite. The soaking tub was great and the bed was very comfy. The front desk staff and valet were quite friendly and professional. And if you're looking for a yummy dinner go to Sanafir on Granville!!
"Stay at the Listel Hotel"
This is an extremely tastefully designed hotel. We stayed in one of the Artist Suites and will stay here again when we visit Vancouver. A very comfortable place to stay.
Outdated but cozie Bed was not comfortable. Front desk was amazing! Great location
"Great location- tons of great restaurants"
The staff was great- very helpful and friendly. Great location- easy to walk to any kind of cuisine you could possibly think of. The hotel was clean and artsy. The valet staff even left me cookies in my car when I checked out.
"Not what I had expected."
When we arrived at the Listel Hotel, we found out our room had a queen bed instead of a king (as posted on the the hotels.com description). We were subsequently charged a $10 upgrade fee to be moved a room with a king size bed. The room upon entering was anything but "modern", as we were told by the front desk concierge. The room had an old tube TV […] in a plastic-looking armoire, opposite the bed. The bathroom was so small that the door almost hit the toilet upon entering. The shower/bathtub combo was tiny at best and was not clean. The grout looked as if it had never been cleaned and the overall shower/tub had a dingy, yellow tint. The hook on the back of this bathroom door was hanging by one screw. The bedding was scratchy and overall not comfortable to sleep with. When we gathering our things for checkout, we found a black sock that belonged to neither my boyfriend nor I. When we checked out and gave the valet slip to the front desk concierge, we waited for a half an hour to get our car. We only got the car brought around after the valet noticed us sitting in the lobby and asked us if we were waiting for a cab. He had obviously never gotten the slip. I would never stay at this hotel again because the service was terrible and the room even more so. Read more

"Fabulous!!"
I love the Listel Hotel. The location, the staff, and the rooms are perfect!
"great hotel at great price... except the Parking"
This hotel was really lovely. I enjoyed my stay. I booked on-line with Hotels.com for a great price. I was however super surprised to find out the hotel parking was 35.50 a night. The hotel only offers valet and since it is on Robson... a busy shopping street there were not cheaper options according to the staff. Overall great hotel if you can get free […] parking or you are coming to the city without brining your car. Read more

"Cozy Comfort"
Everything was great, except I think I ended up with one of the older rooms, so did a friend who also booked through hotels.com. The room was otherwise nicely cleaned, well designed and quiet. Live jazz on the weekend, free wine tasting. The hotel is quite nicely located about in the center of the city, which made walks to Stanley Park, Chinatown and […] Gastown possible. Would stay again. "Pleasant stay"
We spent two nights at the Listel and enjoyed it. I had requested a quiet room as a result of reading prior blogs. They honored my request. I made a last minute request for a "roll away" bed on our way out to dinner as our host in Vancouver had too far to drive home that evening. They honored my request without a charge... it was in the room when we […] returned. The only negative was O'Douls....small portions and too pricey. Read more

Perfectly located, very pleasant and accommodating staff. We stayed on the standard floor (a little less expensive) and checked out the other rooms. Ours was the same size, just had less art and less arty furniture (which we didn't care about).
"Listel Hotel in Vancouver - great spot!"
This hotel was more than I imagined. Cool sculpures throughout the hotel, a wonderful restaurant connecting to the lobby, very friendly and helpful staff and a choice location. I was there for 3 days on business and was extremely comfortable. I would most definitely stay there again.

"Great hotel, bad wifi"
I chose this hotel because of its location. The proximity to Stanley Park and numerous downtown attractions and restaurants was wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The 24/7 valet service was handy (and required for a price as there is no parking other than on the street). The hotel and room decor was very nice and everything I expected. […] The hallways were a little dark for my taste, but it did add some ambiance. We slept with the window open and had very little city noise, even in the morning rush hour. Our biggest complaint was the unavailability of the "free" wifi for iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). The contracted "help desk" company for the wifi was useless and I knew more about the routers and iOS options than he did. After referring to his manual he promised a callback after consulting a different department. We never recived the callback. Thankfully I had my Android tablet and was able to connect through it. Being from the US an not having an international plan since we were only staying for two nights, having wifi was a big deal for us to avoid data roaming charges. Thankfully there were a couple of coffee shops within a block that had free wifi. If you don’t care so much about the free internet access, this is a great hotel to stay at. Would have been a five star stay for me if not for the internet issues. Read more

"ok hotel"
I was expecting more from this hotel since the rating was so high. We had two rooms. One the decour was fine the second one was so outdated and smelled like an old house. It was nothing like the picture. We asked to change rooms and was accommedated. The bed was hard and my pillow was so flat I had to sleep on the neck pillow I brought for the plane. […] Sort of a let down. Read more

"A 3-star hotel with 4-star prices"
Not a bad hotel, but for the price we paid I would have expected more. The only parking available from the hotel is valet, which is pricy. Our room was OK, but had paint peeling on the window sills, a wobbly toilet, loose tub faucet, and lumpy pillows. No open refridgerator either; had to cram a couple items into the minibar. To be fair, these were […] minor issues. At the price we paid, though, I can't overlook them. Read more
"The Listel Hotel - A Very Awesome Stay"
Our stay at the Listel Hotel was exemplary! It is such a beautiful hotel with beautiful artwork. Most of all the staff are very nice. "Artsy Boutique Convenience"
The Listel is situated almost at the end of Robson street famed for it's shopping. The staff was very nice and every floor and room has some great pieces of art on it.
