"Great choice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

"Good mid-price choice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.
"2 nights in Vancouver."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.

"Really not a good place to stay. Devastate your go"
Service were not matching promised. Lousy receptionist. Air condition is noisy and the strong cold wind right hit on your back if you sit in front of the desk. The bath room is under maintained.

"Great location"
Simple clean place to stay near the nightlife in downtown Vancouver.
Room was so small for price. Too much construction .

"The Best Western Plus downtown Vercouver"
This hotel is located at a very convenient place. 1.It is within walking distance from Yaledown Station on Canada Line. 2.It is at the corner of Granville and Drake. Granville is a main street. There are many buses on this street. 3.The hotel provides a shuttles service for its guests. Upon request, the shuttle can take you to anywhere in downtown area […] for free. We were very happy with our stay. Read more
"Not a good stay."
I communicated this to the management. I was troubled by having to sign a document along the lines that they were not responsible for anything going on inside including someone enetering my room. I then tried to us the safe and it did not work. A maintenance person tried to fix it and after replacing batteries it still did not consistently open. Being […] short on time for a dinner I passed on using it. The document set the wrong tone and then having an old and dated safe was the killer. I would not return. The front desk were attentive and did try to help and solve things but spending too much time on it left me with a bad taste. I think the equipment was old and not nearly up to par. Managment told me they were replacing them. I told them to get rid of the document as you have no choice once paid ahead. Read more
The hotel was just fine for our stay as we nneded to get our daughter admission to the local university in Vancouver. The only cost to us other than the accomodation is the parking charges for our vehicle in thwe underground garage.

"Barton, Bellman"
After a long flight from Florida and an upcoming wedding of our granddaughter, we were a bit "slow" about working the safe and needed a little help with that and one or two other things. "Barton" to the rescue. What a handsome and courteous young man who is a definite attribute to any visitors to your hotel. Your entire staff is to be complimented but […] I thought to point Barton out especially because of his patience and consideration of elderly guests. Read more
The hotel was a good value and close to city tour arrangements and food. The neighborhood was very urban and not what was expected. It was a nice hotel and restraun ts were close. the desk staff were very accomidating. Hotel provided a shuttle to the cruise ship that was very nice.
"Bad Experience"
I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and evey single time I would go up to my room I had to come back down for a new key, as they lock was not working properly. The front desk manager had made arrangements for me to talk to the General Manager, at check out, regarding a discount for my stay. When I called down to let the GM know that I was going to be […] down shortly I was informed that she had decided not to come in that day. What a complete disregard for customer service. I will not only not be a repeat guest at this hotel but will not visit a Best Western again...ever! The hotel is in a very seedy part of town and lots of beggers hanging around the front, so much that the hotel has a sort of security guard that sometimes hands out at the front door area at night. The second to the last night there was a prostitute being screamed and yelled at by her "boss" in a car right in front of the hotel and the security guard did nothing about it. This situation made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable while in front of the property. Read more
"Overall Great Experience"
We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus Downtown Vancouver. Clean, well maintained, quiet, and a recommendation for the great restaurants at Yaletown, just a short walk away.
"Downtown convenience"
The Best Western Plus in Vancouver is one of the better values in downtown Vancouver. It is only a couple of blocks to yaletown-so you can safely walk for some night life if you want. The interior of the hotel and rooms are in good shape and comfortable. The room I had was equipped with a refrigerator, stove top, and cooking uitilities-perfect if you […] want to cook up some food from the Granville Island farmers market... Locked underground parking is also a nice conveneice. This hotel was significantly cheaper than others in the same locale, but with little sacrafices. I would stay here again. Read more

"Best Western Downtown Vancouver was very kind"
We stayed at this hotel because we were taking a cruise the next day. Our cruise was delayed, instead of boarding at 1 boarding was delayed until 5. Five of us did not know what we would do with all of our luggage. If we took it to the cruise pier what would we do with it. The staff at the hotel was very gracious and let us have a late check out at […] no charge. We enjoyed the hotel. I wish it had some type of continental breakfast as many other Best Westerns do. I do highly recommend this hotel. Read more
"Satisfied With Our Stay!!"
We enjoyed our stay. Very clean, w/ internet wifi, LCD tv - cable channel, Bathroom descent, walking distance to the shopping area. My only CONS would be the heater/fan unit is not maintaining the desired temperature setting, carpet feels damp, no fridge, and the room is small. *I recommend getting the complimentary breakfast w/ free parking.
"What Shuttle?"
Stayed here three days and never could get the shuttle once. Did a lot of walking and cabs as a result. Stay closer to the waterfront.
"Best Western downtown Vancouver"
excellent!!......close to everything and very safe area. Would definitely stay again
"Best Western Plus Downtown Vanc - EXCELLENT!"
This hotel is in a great location. Right by the Granville Bridge! The service was excellent, the restaraunt was yummy and also had excellent service! Parking was very secure. We will definately be staying here again!
"The Best Western Plus - Downtown Vancouver"
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beds were VERY hard and uncomfortable, and the room was tiny. The location is convenient as it is right over the Granville bridge and walking distance to most things - but a very seedy part of town. Our window looked onto a bare dirt lot with graffiti all over. The Hotel restaurant, The White Spot, […] was HORRIBLE! After ordering, we waited over 45 minutes for a standard breakfast (no special orders), which was very sub-par. Denny's breakfast was better. "Pleasant Stay at a Best Western"
Maybe my expectations were lowered for a best western based on some of the ones I've stayed at in the US but this was a very pleasant hotel. The bed was comfortable, nice TV, clean room, and it was located close to a huge selection of restaurants. I would definitely stay here again
A convenient location, with easy access to great food, and entertainment. Shopping is in walking distance and close to the airport.
"Loved the free shuttle"
The free shuttle made the location much less inconvenient from "downtown". The sheets were luxurious.
"Overly satisfied with everything about this hotel"
This was probably the best experience of any hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff was the most friendly staff I've ever encountered at a hotel. The room was quite spacious. The view from the patio on the top floor was great at night. The neighborhood was good. We were within walking distance of a lot of things. The "Canada Line" train was only about […] a 5 minute walk and that can take you most places for cheap. Overall I will give this hotel the highest rating possible. Read more

"Outstanding Hotel"
Great hotel and convenient location.
"Good hotel, not great location"
Very nice room, hotel is fine, easy to find and has secured underground parking. (A must for Vancouver) The area isn't the best though, Granville Street is mainly bars for the 18-15 generation and there was a lot of homeless around. My biggest concern though was that the hotel charged my card for the full amount even though I had paid in full. They […] did rectify thisonce I discovered it, but I was led to believe that it was a common mistake. Not good for anyone travelling on a budget. Read more
"Comfortable and Covenient"
As per the title, we found the hotel very comfortable, very helpful staff, and very convenient for "Downtown" and Granville Island. An unexpected bonus was the free shuttle bus to the "Cruise Ship Terminal".

"Great hotel!!!"
This hotel is in a great condition. It's clean and neat. The gym and laundry rooms are on the top floor. If you depends on public transportation, it is a right choice for you because bus stops are just down the street on Howe or Granville. The only downside is that there are some homeless people hanging out outside the 7-Eleven that is located kinda […] across from the hotel. It is not too bad in my opinion because they just stand there but don't bother you at all. Read more
"Very nice"
Liked the convenient location; probably a bit more than I normally would pay, but nothing outrageous. Hotel clean, service personnel very responsive and helpful. Courtesy shuttle to areas close by, such as Chinatown or the Cruise pier, although you can only book the same day as ride - nothing in a day+ advance. Free bottled water was unexpected and […] a pleasant surprise! Read more
"Great for the money"
Our hotel room was very spacious, clean and the bed/pillows were extremely comfortable. Though it was very conveniently located, the neighborhood left something to be desired. Lots of road construction during our stay was really inconvenient and at times we couldn't easily access the parking structure.
"convenient location"
It was located downtown and was convenient to anywhere we wanted to go.
Room was quite small but overall it was good
