Very convient to the lifts. Room had stove, microwave and refrigerator. Next door is a grocery store. Many ski shops in the area. The room was good sized and in good condition. It included a gas fireplace that was good for mood but furnished no additional heat (it all went up the flue). Front desk will store skis for you.

Room was nice and clean. Bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. The room's exteriors wall was completely glazed which made for a nice view but a somewhat cool room. The hotel was good but we had 5 in the room -- 3 kids and 2 adults and they kept giving us 3 towels each day and not enough shampoo, even though we saw the cleaning ladies in the hall early on and asked for more amenities. "close to downtown"
Found a great deal for our annual family trip to see the lights on Temple Square. The hotel was within hiking distance of the square, and not too far from the trax. Our room was comfy. My wife and I booked this hotel on the way to Washington for Christmas and we couldn't have been happier. For the price I didn't expect much and we were blown away at the quality. Our room was massive with plenty of space. The bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. The hotel itself does have a few sloppy parts if you're looking hard but it's […] nothing to deter you loving this place. There wasn't much to walk to but the area was safe. We were up on the 6th floor and the view from the window was beautiful. The front desk staff when checking in were super friendly and made you really feel welcomed. The only complaint I have if I had to come up with one was the fact they have sealed the balcony doors to the rooms for energy conservation and the only reason that was a problem was due to me being a cigarette smoker. "Too many annoying things to return"
My husband and I stay with family over the holiday weekend and then check into a hotel to enjoy a couple of ski days. We decided to stay in the city and booked Red Lion for its mixture of price, location and amenities -- we don't demand luxury. Skiing requires a hot tub at the end of the day. I don't book a hotel that doesn't have a hot tub. I was very […] disappointed to return from skiing to have the door to the hot tub dead-bolted. Went to front desk to find out why, they didn't know and had to call maintenance. Turns out they didn't have the right balance of chlorine or something. No sign, no apologies. Apparently the night before the chlorine balance was fine because the door was open but we had just checked in and didn't need the hot tub. Major disappointment. We parked in back in front of a secondary but large, well-lit lobby, closest to elevators that served our room. The 1st night the door was open. The second night the door was dead-bolted. No sign directing us to the nearest door, or explanation as to why it was locked. Annoying. The last morning, we went down to breakfast (Red's Diner was the highlight of this hotel), came back and our keys were both defunct. Had to go back to the lobby to get new keys just so we could turn around and check out. This is always a concern when arriving late to re-enter the hotel. Side security door was adjacent to the handicapped parking stall I required. Door could only be opened with a room key. It's just ok. The lounge is a temporary one because the original lounge on the top of the building has been closed for over a year. Their site has not been updated or they choose to misleading on purpose. I will stay somewhere else on my next trip to Salt Lake. You get the feeling your staying at an old beat up hotel. "Good overall"
Hotel has a shuttle to/from the airport and to local restaurants which was great. The location was good/safe. The only thing bad was the room was kind of dark. It could have used another bedside lamp or brighter light source. One of the face towels probably should have been retired since it had some weird stain on it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
