We like the food so much that we did not eat anywhere else but at the hotel. It is a little high priced but you only get what you pay for. We recommend it highly.

If it were not for the migraine i suffered for four days out of our five spent there, it would have been the dream trip come true. I was miserable vomitting constant. All we did mostly was stay in the room and do nothing cause i was sick. My husband and daughter didnt want to leave me so they stayed with me. I felt so terrible i ruined my daughters graduation gift we had looked forward to do for her for so long.

The beds were SUPER comfortable, which is the ultimate bottom line in a hotel room. However, I was disappointed in the smallness of the room (it felt a little claustrophobic)& the fact that there was no fridge, coffepot or microwave & NO DRINKING WATER, except in the bar in the lobby @ $3 for a 12 oz bottle!! I guess the idea is that the Sharaton is "upscale" & expects guests to eat all their meals out. As soon as I was done with the workshop I was taking, I moved to the Marriot Courtyard for the remainder of my stay in San Diego & was VERY happy there.

My fiance and I decided we needed to get away from the construction zone known as our house and booked this hotel because we planned on visiting Tom Ham's Lighthouse for their Sunday brunch the next day. First of all this hotel was awesome! Everything about it was very nice. We wound up with a room in their Lanai tower that faced the Marina (which we were offered at no additional charge). The view was spectacular. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. My one and only complaint about the hotel was the fact that the A/C unit did not work well. It came on and cooled but not often enough (maybe the thermometer was broken?) Other than that everything else was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

When we pulled up to the gorgeous, grand lobby of the Sheraton Marine Tower, a crisply uniformed door man greeted us and promptly informed me that we were booked for the Sheraton Bay Tower, but not to worry, because the Bay Tower "has larger rooms and a better view." When we got to the Bay Tower, a third of a mile away, a less crisply uniformed valet told us, "the rooms are 30% larger, it's quieter and the veiw is better." I was apprehensive, because the lobby was obviously not as nice. What a rip off! The rooms are larger and the view is great, but the hotel is ancient, the decor is crappy, the only free wireless is in the lobby, which accounted for the huge crowd of briefcase people in the lobby. I ended up paying $12 for the pleasure of having in room internet access. I had booked the spa package, but the front desk knew nothing about it, and the spa knew nothing about it. After 5 phone calls and 2 visits to the front desk, they finally figured it out. By then, I said, "forget it", because the spa was a third of a mile away in the Marina Tower! Also a third of a mile away in the Marina Tower was the Starbucks, and the supposedly wonderful restaurants. The next morning, at breakfast in the lounge, we were directed to a stainless steel counter on which to check the boxes on the menu order cards. We were not allowed to sit down until we completed our order cards and handed them to the waiter, who entered it into the computer and then, finally, showed us to our table. Not sure why the silly forms can't be filled out while sitting at the table. It was just all very strange. If you book the Sheraton San Diego, make sure you are in the Marina Tower!! Do not let them trick you into going to the Bay Tower, it's not a nice hotel!

We arrived and were allowed to check in early, which was nice. We were put in the Bay Tower, which is a little ways from everything but still okay. The problem is that they do not offer consierge service in the Bay Tower. Also, we were put in a handicapped room, which would have been fine if we had been expecting it. Everything was so low to the ground that it almost made it uncomfortable for us. You have to pay for parking every day...and it is pricier than at other hotels in the area. Friendly staff, but over priced for the conditions and services provided.

We stayed for 3 nights to take advantage of the discounted rate. However, this rate does not include an outrageous per day parking fee, if you self park! Who knows what Valet was. If you don't stay in the hotel, you can validate your parking ticket for 1/2 off, but not if you are a guest. Also, this is the first hotel I've stayed in that does not offer free Wi-Fi in the room. You had to pay for every 24 hours, or you can go down to the lobby for free. Very inconvenient and not at all what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. The overall service and friendliness of the staff was great. But I will not stay here again.
