This place was plain and basic as I expected. I checked in and they gave me the room card keys. When I got to the room, the maid was there cleaining it and some other people still had their luggage in there. I went down and got reassigned to another room. When I got to room 277 I could not get in. The key card worked, but the door still seemed locked. When I went back to the fron desk they told me that the lock was installed upside down on that room and that I would have to pull up on the door handle to get in to the room. We stayed there because it was across from the airport during the airshow. Overall, it was way too expensive. I booked my friends into another hotel in Lake Oswego for less than half the cost of here per night and they had much nicer accomodations. Next time, we might just stay at another hotel. The rooms were alright.... the cable box did not work when we arrived in room 275 and the toilet plugged up the first time it was used. But the front desk was quick to fix both of those problems. I think they are trying hard to make this hotel work, but it may just cost too much in this economy. The staff here was friendly enough. I am not totally disappointed. I am pretty easy to please. If location is important, this place may work well for you. Just don't expect too much luxury.

Room was comfortable and it had the extra's like an ironing board in case I wanted to iron someting. Next door was a good restaurant to have breakfast in the morning. It was close to Beaverton Hilsboro area but in a quiet tasteful area overlooking the airfield free of retail or comercial traffic.

Says pets are allowed in the header listing what they offer, doesn't say there is a charge, and a hefty one at that, per pet. They lay that on you when you check in. Was not happy with that.

I think the recent reviews criticizing this hotel must precede its recent rennovation. The outside is a bit tired, but the room was clean and in good condition, and the service was perfectly acceptable for this class of hotel. One criticism: my room was on the ground floor and didn't have net curtains!

Okay overall, nothing all that spectacular though. The hotel is getting renovated so lots of noise during the day, beginning a little before 9am. Parking on the side & back of the hotel is very very dark, no lighting. But otherwise decent enough.

This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. It is very noisey as it is right at the end of the runway. The rooms are also not well insulated and very prone to noise. The rooms are small. Although they claimed to have remodeled the hotel many parts have not been done. I wouldn't stay here again for free.

I have stayed here in the past under different management so I had certain expectations. Notable discrepancies this time around were, 1)The front desk staff was not welcoming and was very unprofessional during the check-in; 2)The room smelled horribly. Aside from these things, the room was quiet and very comfortable and the housekeeping staff was friendly.

The staff was wonderful, and they helped us out quite a bit. The hotel is in the midst of renovations, and the hallways and room doors are in dire need of being replaced. This was a Red Lion two days before we checked in, but now it is in limbo, hence the new name "The Hotel."
