The best part of this hotel is the courtyard with its trees, vegetation, aviary and pool. The location of this hotel was not good. Located on a street with a bunch of car dealerships and by a strip mall. Hotels exposed to a back ally, which did not seem to be safe. First impression was not good as when we approached our room, there was a shopping cart in front of the door, and our room was on the 2nd floor. Our room was old and not in good […] condition. Baseboards not complete and wall was uneven with dimples of spackel. Room was noisy as we could hear everything going on outside and in the room next to us. People in the room next to us was up to 3 AM and talking loudly so we did not get a good nights sleep at all. 2nd Room that we moved to was better but not great. I booked this at a huge discount over the hotel where we were having a trade show (saved my company over $2K for the four nights). The property looked great on Hotels.com, so we decided to book it. When we drove up to the hotel, I thought that I had made a major mistake, and would never live down this booking, as the property is older and shows its […] age. However, our experience with the front desk clerk (and all staff during our stay) was great. Very friendly and helpful. I was still concerned with what the rooms were going to look like. We got to our room and I had a 1980s pink/black speckled marble countertop with furniture that was I described as 'early castle' -- solid hand-carved wood desk, armoire, and beds. However, even though the property was not appointed with new furnishings (it did have a new flat panel TV), it was EXTREMELY CLEAN and the room was quite large (king room had a sofa in it) and the bed was comfortable. I got feedback from the others in our group (expecting some negative feedback due to aging), they were all pleased with their rooms. There is a nice courtyard within the confines of the property. After our initial trepidation upon arrival, it was a great visit and we would definitely book here again. Read more

The place was nice overall. The bathroom was the worst part, as it felt very cramped and the shower was terrible. Every time I used it, it would constantly switch between scalding hot and freezing cold. The guy who checked us in was super nice and helpful.

The main Heater was not functional and the small heater mounted in the wall was hardly enough. It took 4 hours to heat the room to a comfortable tempurature.

This might be very good as a motor lodge but to call it a resort is felonious. The lobby is motelesque, attendant was very nice, pool, lounge, restaurant all closed. A very old decently maintained motel. The room was very good. Spacious and clean, excellent t.v. and bed. Poor neighborhood but 10 minutes from better.

If your looking to save money but still have a resort quality stay just as well, then this is the perfect place. We ended up rented a room again at this same hotel after just 4 days when we got back in town. loved that kids were able to swim in the very heated pool even though it was like 40 degrees or colder at night. They stayed in the pool for like […] 2 hours since the water was warm like a jacuzzi. I have to say that the beds are really comfortable and don't have those ugly antique covers; You enjoy white linen. You also get a refrigerator in the room which is convenient. They also have a jumbo chess game with life size pieces that you can enjoy outside next to the pool. Really enjoyed the Xmas decor on the palm trees by the pool. Was surprised to see what the property had in store... From the outside its nestled between a shopping strip and a car dealership wasn't expecting the gorgeous courtyard. The courtyard was decorated for the holidays with lights and has a year round bird atrium. The hotel was comfortable and the staff was very courteous and pleasant. The resort area (with a heated pool and a bird enclosure) was decorated with lights for the holidays. When I checked in I found they had left candy canes on each bed. I stayed by myself but had a room with two double beds. The desk was opposite one bed with just enough room for […] the chair, effectively blocking the exit while it was in use. Not a problem for one person, but a couple or family might find it annoying. I had two problems with the hotel room: One was that the bathroom (toilet & tub) was "cozy" enough that I struck my foot on the toilet bowl while stepping into the shower. The other problem was on my first night I felt something "crusty" on my bedsheet. A bit disgusting, but with a second bed in a room to myself I just switched beds and did not bother with a complaint.
