Surprised to find an actual $50 charge made on my credit card to cover incidentals. When I called the same day I checked out after an overnight stay I was told that all guests are charged in advance "in case" they incur charges not included in the room rate and that it would take about four days to have that charge credited to my charge card.

We enjoyed the location and the cleanliness of the room, which was one of the most tastefully decorated of hotels I have visited. The decor was simple and pleasing. The layout of the standard room was good as well and allowed room for a cot. Unfortunately, I had difficulty sleeping. I booked this the night before heading to Philly for a basketball game. Probably the most reasonable big-city hotel I have ever stayed at. Great location, place was sparkling, service was great. The room was small, but, as a New Yorker, not that small. I would definitely stay here again.

We got the basic room (without a kitchen). The room was very clean and the staff did a great job every morning putting the room back together. There was a pot filled with coffee available for the guests throughout the day. There is a small complimentary gym and laundry room (one washer and one dryer) available to guests. Overall, club quarters is great. I got a room with a nice view on the ceiling on the 12th floor. I was with my boyfriend for the weekend and It was really romantic. We slept under moonlight and it set the tone. The room was rectangularish not squareish like most places. It wasn't a small room I can say that much. The bathroom was small though. It didn't […] bother me too much but a bigger bathroom would have been better. There was no tub and the shower area included a detachable shower head so my beau and I could easily wash eachother. The room was equipped with an iron, an extra blanlet, and cordless phone. To get to your room you have to take two elevators. The hotel was very classy and the staff was incredibly friendly in addition to being helpful. I really appreciated the complimentary water located right outside of the gym and all the gadgets available from the front desk (iPad, docking station, etc.). The hotel is also in a great location in Center City. There's great shopping directly on Chestnut […] (street that the hotel is located) and Walnut (one block away). It's also a short distance to Rittenhouse Square where there are some nice restaurants and the park. It was very simple to walk to many museums and other parks as well as the Reading Terminal Market, which was awesome; reminds me of Quincy Market in Boston. There were taxi's all around and the hotel staff is more than willing to call you a taxi if you would like a destination that isn't within walking distance. CQ has become my go-to hotel in Philly and New York. This trip to Philly reminded me of what a great find it is. Staff is super helpful and welcoming. Rooms are nice, enough room for a few people. But you cannot beat the location. Close to everything we needed.
