"Dirty Carpet, bed ok"
The Hotel was not as nice as the rating or the reviews. The carpet in my room was worn and dirty to the point that I didn't really want to go barefoot. The room had an overall bleak look and the queen bed(s) was non existent, there were two twins. Staff was friendly, lobby decent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central Location and on Bus Routes"
Very enjoyable. We should have liked to have had breakfast available - or at least more than coffee and tea. The coffee, however was excellent. A very good place to stay for theatre/concert/opera outings and dinner with wine without fear of driving home under the influence. Sunday morning in the city is always pleasant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to our destination."
Perfect.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall, the hotel was pretty good. The lobby is nice, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, and the coffee that the machine makes in the lobby is incredible (seriously had multiple cups - its delicious). The downside - the size of the room. At one point, I thought that we may need to check out and find another hotel because the room […] was so small that I felt claustrophobic - and I lived in a NY studio with another person for 6 months without any issues. The standard rooms are TINY and the high ceilings hurt the situation - it almost seemed like the walls were closing in because the room was more tall than wide. On top of this, they have awful florescent lighting in the room that makes it even less comfortable. In the end, I was able to move furniture to the corners of the room, turn off the horrible florescent lighting and just use the lamps and then, I felt like I could breathe. So, we stayed. For the price and location, I suppose it was worth it. I would stay again, but DEFINITELY NOT in a standard room. If an upgrade is available, it has to be worth it (they were sold out and could not upgrade us). Book a bigger room and you will likely love this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"well priced hotel in center city"
We needed an inexpensive place to stay on a Saturday night, convenient to pubs and public transportation. This hotel is geared towards business people the room is a little small but clean, bathroom small but clean, there is a decent sized desk to work from, secure entrance even though the neighborhood is fine. Front desk was friendly but seemed just […] a little scattered no big deal though. Did not use restaurant, coffee in the morning was made individual servings although you needed 3 to make 2 cups of coffee, which my wife and I thought was a little bitter, had settings for latte and espresso but used the coffee setting. If not on business it is a good clean place to sleep in but would stay elsewhere if needing more expansive hotel services. Garage parking was a little expensive but front desk validates parking for a 35% discount which turned a $37 parking fee to $24 which is fine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Good Place/Location for the Price"
My wife and I stayed for a few nights during Labor Day weekend. The prices were fair, despite the holiday, and we were pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. Rooms are a bit small, but nicely furnished. In the afternoon, they have free snacks and soda in the lobby. The staff is very helpful, and even brought our luggage up to the room while we […] were out. We were wishing they would have had "snacks" at breakfast time, too, though. Not even a piece of fruit, which would have been nice. Still, we would stay here again. Great find in Philly! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"You cant beat this for the money"
The hotel was clean, well lit, and conveniently located. It was not the nicest place I ever stayed, but they made me feel welcome, it was modern enough, the bedding was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was more than sufficient, all around great for business travel. Free Cappuccino machine downstairs was welcome as well as free filtered water. Parking […] is about the cheapest you will get in Center City at $24 a night. I will be back for sure on my next trip. "Charming Center City Hotel"
This hotel pretty well located for a longer stay in Philadelphia. We came for a wedding, and wanted to stay near where the wedding activities were taking place. The hotel is also not far from the Liberty Bell museum and Independence Hall, which are great reasons to visit Philly - but something that shouldn't be missed is the Franklin Institute. It's […] walking distance from this hotel. The room was small, but this is a center city location. We loved the excellent free coffee and water bottles! The little touches are great! "Great deal for Center City"
The hotel is really well located a couple of blocks from Rittenhouse Square and directly across the street from Liberty Two, so it was shocking to see how inexpensive it was. The room was compact but with a good layout, so it felt bigger than it actually was. Entrance is a two-step process: first you enter from the street into a small lobby with an […] elevator that takes you up to the main lobby. Then the elevators to the rooms are located further into the building. They prefer guests to check in through kiosks, but they're located around the lobby with no clear signage, so you'll end up waiting in line at the desk just to have the desk clerk walk you to a kiosk to check in. There are machines on each floor where you can grab an empty plastic bottle and collect "cool fresh water" to take to your room -- given how quickly bottles disappeared, this seems to be a popular feature. There's a restaurant attached, but with all of the great Center City restaurants within the surrounding few blocks, why bother staying in? If you get late night munchies, Insomnia Cookies is right around the corner. There wasn't a bellman on duty, so I was a little concerned about getting a cab when I needed one, but fortunately Chestnut is a major Center City thoroughfare, so flagging one down was quick. I would definitely repeat if I need to stay in the city again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
After being "upgraded" to a bigger room that had only skylights, I quickly found out that I am slightly claustrophobic. My brother called the front desk, and they were more than accommodating. We were given a new room with windows a few hours after initially checking in. The room was clean and big enough for the two of us. The stay was enjoyable and […] the room was affordable and clean. I would recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Little Maintenance Would Help"
Great location. Nice people. A few too many minor maintenance issues - closet rack broken, low water/toilet pressure. They recorded my concerns and seemed intent on getting them fixed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Price Location & Quality!"
Loved my stay here nice modern, tech savvy, and very complimentary hotel. Attached to a great restaurant for room service and dining. Secure room access and very accommodating staff! Would absolutely stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It's not that it's a bad hotel, it's just a strange hotel. It's certainly convenient to a lot of spots and for that I like it. But the hotel itself, the check-in process was just weird. Kiosks? What is this a wawa? There's plenty of complimentary water everywhere, but only one ice machine for a hotel, come on? Oh and the elevator roulette game you're […] forced to play was annoying. I understand the card swipe is for security reasons but if you time it wrong you're going up and down all day. The rooms are cramped, but kind of comfy. Felt like a college dorm room. The stairwells were real sketchy, I felt like every door I went through would have me ending up in a cave. Like I said, not a bad stay, just a strange one. It worked for what we needed it for. "Tiny rooms- but great!"
This hotel has self check in, meaning no waiting in lines to get your room key. Room was small, but had everything needed. I felt safe in the location and was close to the airport. I'd definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good but understaffed"
The hotel would have been amazing and an amazing deal if they'd managed their staffing better. They were running a skeleton crew of 2 front desk staff for a weekend where they were booked solid. It took neaarly an hour to get checked out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was perfect, the location can't be beat and our stay was lovely.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Joe and Nakeya were great!!"
Rooms are too small, not enough elevators, shared by housekeeping and guests! But Joe made us feel so much at home that we came back two weeks later, and truly felt like home :) Thanks Joe!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Always a good option in Philly"
I've stayed here a couple times for business and always had a nice stay. The lobby is comfortable, the rooms are nice (some quite small, but still well appointed) and the location can't be beat for the price. Places a block away are triple the price -- I've stayed at them, too. This is a better option. The new check-in system is great for coming into […] the hotel since you just use a touchscreen computer to fast-track the process. But then at check-out, you have to do the same and it isn't quite as efficient. All told, though, this is a hotel that is worth a try. Nice people, awesome location, and clean clean clean. "A bit different, but verz enjoyable"
Staff very friendly, GREAT complimentary coffee 24/7, pleasant atmosphere. Building not new but kept as well as possible. Location great, many shops and eateries (and drinkeries) in easy walking distance. I'll stay there again if I ever make it back to Philly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"cheap business hotel in a great location"
bathroom and room were both tiny and not aesthetically beautiful or exceptionally comfortable. but it was clean. very old building with cheap renovation. one staff person was voicing her complaint about working at the hotel with another staff member, and did not bother to hold her comments as the guests walked by in the hallway. front desk was overwhelmed […] by the people checking out in the morning and bless their hearts but the staff could not seem to figure out an efficient way to handle this. over all a decent stay though, primarily due to convenience of the location and relatively low rates. "Nice Hotel, Strange Staff"
The hotel itself is fine, convenient location. It also has a very nice lobby, coffee and water stations with plastic bottles provided for you. The room was pretty no-nonsense with a smaller bathroom, but it was still nice. Elevators were slow. The reason I am giving a poorer review is because of the staff, who did not make me feel very confident in […] my stay. When I arrived to check in, the man asked for my credit card to check me in (he was behind the front desk). He then proceeded to WALK AWAY from this desk into an open, non-secure area and started using random computer kiosks. I was not given an explanation. He then stared at me, while I had no idea while he was walking away with my credit card. That is apparently how they check you in. The guy gave me no explanation of what was included in my hotel stay, but the people checking in next to me got a full explanation. Not equal service there. When I checked out, the same thing happened. The lady took my card, walked away without an explanation and used the computers. This was NOT secure, no explanation, and what is the point of this hotel staff if I apparently can just check myself in on these computers? When I checked out, I left my baggage for a few extra hours. When the staff were told we would like to check our bags, the response was something like "oh jeez." Well THAT gives me a ton of confidence that my bags are going to be secure and retrievable on the other end... It was just a very strange, sub-par experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location in Center City on Restaurant row"
Very satisfied with our stay at Club Quarters. Friendly and attentive staff. Clean with nice extras (free espresso and cappuccino machine - complementary bottled water on every floor). Great spot to see shows, go to restaurants and bars. Price is surprisingly low for the location and amenities. Great spot for hitting the town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Center City Spot, Slow service."
This hotel is great. It's in a great neighborhood, easily accessible to all the sights and public transportation. The rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable. The only downside is slow service. It took us 20 minutes to check in and on the 2nd day we returned to the room at 430 to shower and get ready for dinner reservations and the room was still […] not attended to. We had to turn the maids away at 5 because we were bouncing in and out of the showers and getting dressed. The hotel is great but if you look for attentive service, you may be disappointed. "Hidden Treasure in Center City"
I have lived in Philadelphia for a long time and had no idea this hotel was nestled on Chestnut Street. It was very convenient and close to Liberty Place and quite a few bar/restaurants. I booked several weeks in advance and received a great rate. The hotel is located in a great neighborhood with lots of great restaurants and shopping. "Perfect for a night after sight-seeing"
Only needed a room for one night - we intended on walking around the historical sights in old city. This was perfect, as it was a short walk from Independence Hall, Christ Church, the Liberty Bell, and any of the bars/restaurants in Old City. Also only a little over a mile walk to the Italian market and the must-eat cheesesteak locations... and right […] near the City Hall Septa station if you want to catch a sporting event way down on Broad Street. The room was clean enough - the bathroom a little small, but if you're only there for a night the room is perfect. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Don't believe the (negative) hype..."
This hotel was fine for what I needed. I was traveling solo for work and it covered all the bases. It was convenient to restaurants and shopping to boot! My room was on the main floor down a bizarre maze and close to the kitchen but that is more of a caveat. The staff was cordial and it was a comfortable stay. "Nice, but expected more"
The associates were very friendly and we felt secure at all times. Going as far to limit elevator usage to only guests with cards. My biggest problems were we couldn't find where valet parking was. Even after calling, no one answered. We found another lot eventually, but didn't feel as if the lost was safe after finding out it wasn't the proper one. The […] room itself was very tiny and the bathroom even smaller. Probably the smallest room I've ever stayed in, I couldn't wait for the night to be over with. Night staff rude and acted like inconvenience to answer questions, rooms and bathrooms extremely small, booked a queen bed- got 2 twins put together and kept falling in crack of bed, no parking, certainly don't get what you pay for, no fridge no microwave in some rooms, door to next room extremely close- no sleep from neighbors being loud and coming […] in and out all night, no room at elevators, do not tell you about incidental charge for 2 nights when checking in- they just charge your credit card without your approval or knowledge. If you're stopping in Philly for a visit, Club Quarters is in a great location right near Rittenhouse Square (lots of restaurants, shopping, near the Amtrak train station for a day trip up to NYC or down to DC). "Pretty small but nice"
I'm working under a severe deadline and sometimes decide to stay in town over night, near my Center City office, to transform my "train commute" work time into true work time. My long, narrow Club Q room seemed to be a strange configuration at first glance, but it provided more than enough for my purposes. The desk was a little worse for wear; the damaged […] wood on the front is an eyesore that could be easily fixed; I recommend a little stain to eliminate that issue. My one and only complaint with this room was the location of the hand towel ring. It is oddly close to the floor, wedged between the toilet and sink, and the room offers no towel bar nor hook higher up and near the sink. Who wants their hand towel to be in close proximity to the floor OR the toilet? Ew! Minor but worth mentioning. Otherwise, the room offered a comfy bed, convenient amenities, great location, fair price, and OUTSTANDING staff. I'd stay again in a heartbeat! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
