Small room. Bathroom inadequate. Bathtub and toilet had to be fixed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great old luxury hotel just two blocks from Times Square. I was worried that it would be loud and hard to sleep being so close to Times Square but that was not the case at all. It was very quiet and cozy in my room on the 8th floor. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. They have a great little cocktail bar on the ground floor but I would only […] go for one drink-- delicious but expensive! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Iroquois Great feedback and thank you. We do have 7/8" thick sound proof glass to ensure everyone is able to get a great night's sleep. We look forward to your return! Sincerely, Robert Holmes General Manager
A wonderful experience. A civilized environment in a legendary theatre/entertainment district that never stops to take a breath. Everything about the hotel pleases from the thoughtful, helpful staff to the quiet dining room where people speak in modulated tones and are considerate of the other diners. I have visited three separate times in as many years […] and look forward to returning each year. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"My New York Vacation"
Excellent location. The hotel staff were very professional. The room was a bit small but very quite and cozy. I will use this hotel again in the future.Genuine Expedia guest review

"A pleasant New York surprise."
I've walked by The Iroquois for years, heading to The Algonquin. Stopped in this time and found it to be pleasant, quiet and good value for money.Genuine Expedia guest review
The staff and hotel itself were amazing. Vanessa, the Concierge, took very good care of me during my 1st visit to New York. Every single member of the staff provided excellent customer service.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good location, nice room"
good location, nice room, no amenities like coffee makers in room, etc would stay there again without reservationGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, inconsistent service"
We selected the hotel for proximity to the theater district and Carnegie Hall and for having charm and personality and we were not disappointed. Comfortable bed, great linens, nicely appointed room although insufficient outlets. Fabulous food served at Triomphe Restaurant and creative well-crafted cocktails at the unique Lantern's Keep. Great location […] shopping and beautiful Bryant Park. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The Iroquois has a great location! Great customer service. The rooms are small, but do just fine. Very Clean. The only problem was the restaurants/bar was closed on Sunday.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to everything"
We had walked past the Iroquois in the past on our way from Grand Central to Times Square and had always been intrigued. We decided to give it a try and were completely satisfied. A very easy walk from the train with our weekend luggage. We had show tickets and were able to walk to the Gershwin Theater. There was a great selection of restaurants very […] close. No need for a taxi the entire weekend. We even walked to Bloomingdales, which was 16 blocks but there was lots to see along the way. All in all it was a great weekend and very much so because of the Iroquois and their staff. They were very friendly and attentive. The room was a bit small, but. We expected that, and it was extremely tastefully decorated. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and the room was also very quiet for sleeping in. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My husband and I stayed at Iroquois for just one night but enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, the pillows and bed were awesome, as was the staff. It's close to TImes Square, Metro and two StarBucks. I am generally pretty picky but I loved this place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great hotel for the theatre folks"
The Iroquois Hotel is right where you want to be if you are in NYC to see Broadway Shows. Most of the theatres are within walking distance and thru nice neighborhoods. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful about everything! The concierge was super efficient and did work a miracle! The room was small but cozy and very clean and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for a long weekend in New York City"
Lovely old boutique hotel in a great location! The place is in great condition and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was smallish but nice, not fancy, but very comfortable. Easy walking to Times Square, Theatres, Restaurant Row, Rockefeller Plaza, Shopping. We would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location for walking"
Staff helpful. Good location as easy to walk to many of the most usual sites. Coffee available downstairs but my one negative would be it would have been nice to have a hot water maker in the room.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by The Iroquois JL, Thank you for your feedback. We can always send up a pot of hot water during your stay, and we do have room service available 24hrs a day. We look forward to your return trip to the Iroquois! Sincerely, Robert Holmes General Manager
The Iroquois is a great place to stay. It has nice rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Second stay as perfect as the first!"
This was the second time we've stayed here, and the reason was because of the first time! Suburb accomodations and even better staff! Throw in the location just for good measure and you have a perfect stay! For us, there can be no other choice. And that says a lot given the amount of quality hotels in that great city!Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was very nice, clean. The staff was very friendly, and helpful. My favorite was the concierge. He was very friendly, and knowledgeable of the area.Genuine Expedia guest review
Wonderful location, gracious personnel who know you by name! Amazing! Beautifully appointed property witha reserved and quiet atmosphere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Two day business trip."
Pricing was competitive with surrounding hotels. Great location. Hotel has been around for a while and they've done a decent job of trying to keep up with the times.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This small hotel is one of the best I have ever used. The location is perfect. The staff was so helpful. I will definitely stay here again. The room had everything we needed. I really am super pleased with how everything went at the Iroquois. I do NOT receive this level of service everywhere I stay. I love this place.Genuine Expedia guest review

"GREAT LOCATION - CLOSE TO TIMES SQUARE"
The hotel was a great location and was close to everything walking only a few blocks to Minskoff Theater. ABC Studios are close by and it was great to just walk and be close to Times Square. The Concierge Vanessa was very helpful and was always pleasant. One of the doormen seemed just to be there and not be so helpful while others were. Sometimes when […] you walked in the hotel no one greeted you. But, for the location, this is great and the shower was great in the room. The bed was comfortable, the room a bit small for my liking but you are never in your hotel anyway. I would stay here again despite the minor things. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great location and very comfortable stay"
My wife and I were celebrating our one year anniversary. I wanted this trip to be special for her since I had been a couple of times before and this was her first trip. I could not have been happier with my selection of this hotel. The staff were very friendly and the location was great. We had a queen sized room (806). It was very comfortable and had […] plenty of room for our needs. I read several of the reviews and the only concerns I saw were the elevators being slow and the rooms being cramped. I had no issue with either. I would definitely stay here again and suggest anyone on the fence to go for it and book this place! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfortable and convenient location!!"
The location of the Iroquois was excellent...enough off the beaten path to not be noisy, but within 2 block walking distance to Times Square, Grand Central Station, and Rockefeller Center. The staff was helpful and friendly and we loved the hot cider in the lobby every night!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fabulous location and clean room"
Rooms are small and many are somewhat dark, but clean. Lots of queen beds so make sure you are okay with that. Fabulous location obviously outweighs many issues, half a block to Fifth Ave and easy walk to most of Broadway. Lantern's Keep bar downstairs with fireplace is quaint and hip at the same time, but book a table when you check in, there's only […] 30 seats. Two computers for public use in front room. We like small hotels. Have stayed many times next door at the Algonquin. This was our first time at the Iroquois. The rooms were reasonably sized, tastefully decorated, updated for all the electronic devices. The staff was friendly and helpful. And, of course, the location is perfect for theater-goers. Overall, entirely satisfactory. We'll be back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"excellent customer service"
The staff provided customer service which was above and beyond any other place we have stayed. The room was clean and Quiet, which is rare for a hotel room in the city. We will stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a place in the city close to the action, subways, shopping, and dining; but not too close to be a nuisance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"We will definitely stay there again!"
This hotel is in the perfect location of NYC, very central! Our room was very nice with plenty of room, especially by NYC standards. The bathroom was large and spotless. We will definitely stay there again. But the BEST part of this hotel is Vanessa the concierge. She was so helpful and knowledgeable. She got us anywhere we needed to go with no problems […] at all and this was our first time in NYC! If you are looking for a small personal hotel in the heart of NYC, this is your bet bet! "Very nice small midtown hotel"
Stayed with wife for a 4 day weekend. The staff was very nice and helpful. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and had drinks at the hotel bar. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was was clean and modern. The room was a bit small, but understandably so for NYC. Our room window gave us a view a other rooms and the backside of other buildings. […] The window seemed to have a draft. At times the room was a bit cold, and the the furnace was kick in it would get hot and dry. Again understandably for NYC. All in all, we were very happy with our room and the hotel. Great location in midtown. Excellent that there is a Duane Reed around the corner where you can buy food, water, beer etc. Also, Red Fire Diner is on the same block, great for breakfast, reasonable prices. "Great location for being "out on the town"!"
Wonderful service at The Iroquois! We arrived very late (2 am) and the staff was extremely helpful in getting us settled. They allowed us to check-out early and store our baggage on our final day. The front desk confirmed reservations we had a local restaurant, and they arranged for an in-expensive private car for our ride back to the airport. Rooms […] are a bit small, but if you are looking to be out on the town and spend not much time in the room, it's a great place to stay - 1.5 blocks from Times Square. My only "complaint" was room temperature. Because of the central heating/air, it was quite stuffy in our room...in March. But, we opened the window and all was well! If you want a place to be "home base" and spend most of your time in the city, this is an ideal place! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"My favorite NYC hotel"
I stayed at 3 different hotels on my February stay in NYC and this was by far the best. The service is excellent, the hotel is clean and quite, the bed comfortable and the location can't be beat. It is only a few minutes from wonderful restaurants and Broadway shows. I enjoyed the complementary coffee in the morning and hot cider in the afternoon. The […] only reason I didn't rate it a 5 across was the temperature of the water for the shower was so hot you could hardly stand under it. There was no way to make it cooler. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tiny Noisy Rooms!!!!"
The Superior Room w Queen Bed was tiny!!!! Our first night I awoke 5 times from the sound of water pipes in a nearby room. We asked for a new room the next day. The room the sent us to was on the 8th floor. They must have done some remodeling to the walls because some of them were missing huge spots of paint. It was dreadful, like no hotel I've ever […] stayed in. We checked into our new room and within 5 minutes the constant rattling sound of a fan was even louder than the first room. Finally we got a nice room (in the middle of the floor, not on either of the ends) that was much quieter and we stayed there for 3 more nights. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We had a great experience at the Iroquois Hotel! All of the staff- the doormen, the cleaning staff, the concierge and the front desk staff- were friendly and helpful. Vanessa, the concierge, gave us great information about restaurants and sights to see and clear directions when we needed them. She always greeted us with a bright smile! The only negative […] was the temperature of our room. It was very hot when we arrived. We called and someone immediately came to our room and explained why. We were able to open the window in our room which solved that. We had a room with 2 double beds for my sister and me. We had plenty of room to walk around in the room and the bathroom was nice. The room looked updated and was clean. The location was great too! We had a wonderful time in New York and the Iroquois was the perfect place for us. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Can't beat the location"
Perfect location if you're wanting to get around the city easily. And I mean perfect. Room was a little small, but who goes to NYC to sit in a room?! Great atmosphere and a little library to boot. Reasonable for the location. I'll be back for sure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel in great location"
This is a quiet hotel in a very busy location. Easy walk to Broadway shows and Times Square. Beds were very comfortable. Service was pleasant and efficient. The room was clean and not overly small. There was a movie being filmed acroos the street which was neat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good stay at the Iroquois in New York City"
The Iroquois is very well located, only a couple of blocks from Times Square, and within walking distance of a couple of good restaurants, and theaters. The property is well maintained, and the rooms are very pleasant, and not too small for New York standards. Comfortable bathrooms. The service at the check-in and concierge counters was excellent […] and the doormen and bellhops where very efficient. The maid service left room for improvement. The room was very very clean the first day, but the cleaning in the following three days left a bit to be desired. We had requested that the sheets not be changed everyday, but expected that beds would be made nicely everyday. They did look good on the top but the sheets underneath were wrinkled as if the bedspread was the only thing that had been straightened. Cocktails at the bar were very expensive, and not high quality, but there are plenty of better options nearby. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Service, Location and Ambiance."
This boutique hotel has a rich history and a great location. It is central to 5th Avenue, Times Square, Rockefeller Center and the theater district. The hotel is very clean with personalized touches such as complimentary overnight shoe shines, luxury bedding and toiletries, robes, turn down service etc. The staff is fabulous and everyone is focused […] on making your stay enjoyable. From the bellman, to the front desk, to the consierge, to the servers and bartenders....they all work to make you feel like you are home at the Iriquois. Travelers should remember that historic hotels have smaller rooms than new modern facilities, but nothing will match the charm of these boutique hotels. We recently spent a 40th wedding anniversary weekend in New York and the Iroquois was a great pick. We will certainly return and stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
