"Nice, clean, convenient, and reasonably priced"
Belnord is a nice little hotel conveniently located a block from the 1-train. The rooms are small but renovated and always clean. The staff is friendly. I stay here every month when I visit NYC on business, you can't beat the quality/price combination.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Negatives: Blanket was uncomfortable, the cable TV service was lousy. Positives: Bathroom wasn't too small, good water pressure/temp in the showerGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fantastic room in excellent neighborhood"
This hotel is in a very residential part of town, so it's quiet but still close to fabulous restaurants and just one block from a major subway line (the 1). The room was a good size by New York standards and very clean. We loved the free wi-fi. The service was lacking at times but typically courteous with no major problems.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good choice of a budget hotel"
The Hotel is clean and well maintained. Convenient location with metro station on the nearby corner. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very small with a compact private bathrooms, but had all that needed to spend a night. If you know what to expect you will be satisfied. I'd stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tiny rooms for tiny folk - don't bring much luggag"
Title says it all. I was a single person staying in this room and barely had room for my bags. Hotel is in a good location (3 blocks west of Central Park), but rooms are crazy tiny!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent in every way..."
Excellent, clean convenient to subway, bus, and food stops. Short distance to Central park, Time square, Broadway right there.... Rooms like cruise ship size... But who stays in the room in New York!!!! In our book for again...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bang for your buck"
Who has $400 to spend on one night for a hotel?! Not this gal. This place was great. I was a bit hesitant at first booking sight unseen, but everything worked out well. The hotel lobby had charm, the staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was small, as expected, but we didn't need much. It was neat and very clean. We had free Wi-Fi and a TV with […] cable. The hotel is short walk to many restaurants on/near Broadway, and is VERY accessible via subway. The hotel is literally right across the way from the stop. No complaints - I'd stay here again. "Tiny room with no frills--good experience"
The room was tiny--10x10 maybe--with room for a double bed and 2 nightstands. Bathroom was also tiny/efficient. Also, there's no desk or workspace, and no place to sit except the bed. Closet had space for hanging clothes as well as shelves so you could unpack. I was pretty comfortable by myself but would have found it trying to fit 2 people in. That […] said, it was impeccably clean, very quiet at night and I LOVED the light-blocking window coverings. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I had asked for 2 beds I got one double bed. The room was very small. My brow was a dark alley. The paint in the bathroom ceiling was brown in chipping. Plus the front desk clerk was rude and wouldn't help with my bed situation. They didn't have cots or toiletries. Great location but they called this place. A hotel I felt like I was at a hostel. I will […] never go here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Economical Choice in Quiet Scenic part of NYC"
Overall I thought it was a good hotel to stay. I have never been to this part of NYC and it happened to be blocks from a meeting I had scheduled and didn't realize it! The room was small but neat, clean and efficient. I had problems with the television, it kept losing the signal and the Wi-Fi didn't work in the room. When I had to store my luggage before […] check in, I was surprised that they threw a key at you and you had to make your way to a back room by yourself to stow it instead of the bellman taking care of it for you. Otherwise, a decent stay Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"teeny but terrific"
super convenient location near subway, x-town bus, central park - - micro-sized room, no closet, three hangers but clean, very well-cared for - - good bathroom and shower. Bring earplugs because you hear everything in the hallway. And don't plan on using the hotel wi-fi - - remarkably slow.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great for the price and location pleasant staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great place for a short stay. Great staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"GREAT LOCATION, GREAT LITTLE PLACE"
Perfect location, perfect for my needs which was to work away from home and business. Close to the 1 train and close to everything in the Upper West Side.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice clean room, friendly staff, nice location"
hotel was nice and clean, the staff was very nice, location was great and close to central park. the only problem I had with the room is that is was way to small. I know rooms are small in nyc but the room was only big enough for the bed and that's it, just enough room to get around to the other side of the bed. even the bathroom was tight , setting […] on the toilet and my knees were under the sink. I just wanted every one to know about that , we had the double bed room.so maybe just those are tight not sure. I just think that for $200 a night the room should b a lil bigger even though you don't spend much time there. I have spent much less for a bigger room in times square. so all in all the place was nice with a small room, I would probably stay somewhere else my next trip to nyc Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel works well for me for business. It is close to the subway and great dining options, thought there are none in the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small, great location, pray you have quite neighbo"
The Belnord is a great option if you are not going to be in the room a lot (they are tiny) and want a reasonably-priced hotel on the Upper West Side. I had no problem with noise, however I could hear when showers were turned on or off if other guests are loud you are in trouble.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not this place"
The room was not small; it was tiny. You could turn around but had to close the closet door to open the bathroom. The toilet ran repeatedly. Air and heat were good. It was clean and the shower was good. We paid $180 through Hotel.com but then when we had to stay a second night unexpectedly, they soaked us for $250. It was not worth it. There are far […] better deals downtown for a lot less. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Terribke room, terrible service...had to leave and"
Aweful. First, we waited for ever as ine man tried to check in all the incoming customers. I was there with a relative, and we were supposed to have two beds in our room. We ended up with just one bed and the room was so small you could not even walk around the bed. We asked the front desk to give us the room we were supposed to have withtwo beds, and […] they had no interest in being accomodating at all. In fact, they were very rude about it. We had to leaveand get another hotel, got no refund, even though we only went i to the room for one minute and discovered it was the wrong room and went roght back out. terrible customer service. Would never recommend, Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect location for our needs"
The Belnord is located within easy walking distance of Central Park, Riverside Park and the 86th St subway stop; a perfect Upper Westside location. It was sparkling clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable. We spend very little time in the room so the very small room was not a problem, but may pose a concern if your needs include wanting to sit […] somewhere other than on the bed. We will likely return to the Belnord on our next trip, but will ask for a street-side room for added light. The price was also believable in contrast to so many other NYC hotels. "Great lower cost hotel in manhattan"
Hotel is in a great location, very close to subway and central park. Staff were friendly and helpful and hotel was clean and tidy. Be aware that the rooms are very small. We would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"If You're OK with a Tiny Room"
The hotel is nice and the neighborhood is great. The rooms are REALLY tiny but if all you need a hotel for is to sleep, this is a great deal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Upper West Side of NYC"

"Still and excellent option for NYC"
The Hote is well located close to comerce, bars and restaurants and morre importantly to the sub-way. The faciliaties and furniture are relatively new and of a high standard. Rooms are a bit small, so bear n mind if you plan to travel with a lot of luggage. Will bok it again for sure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for one"
Rooms are small--good for one, too small for two. They don't have a closet, and it was tight to put in an ironing board. Internet and TV, bathroom, all functioned well. Price is good, location excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Noise very loud."
room very small, morning noise people walking in hallway you hear, workers walkie talk was to loud. Not happy at all.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Budget delight and no bedbugs!"
I read the reviews carefully before booking. I grew up in NYC not far from this address. I also travel a fair amount on business and am accustomed to good hotels. I was pleasantly surprised by the Belnord, particularly given the price. On the negative side, the rooms are very small--just a bed and nightstands, no room for a chair or desk. The hallways […] are narrow and full of turns. There is also a lot of transmitted noise from rooms next door and upstairs. The heat is controlled by a thermostat in the room, but is indeed very noisy. On the positive side, my room was scrupulously clean. The tiny bathroom is well designed, with a good strong flow of water in the shower and no shortage of hot water, and reminiscent of a European hotel bathroom. There was a small closet in the room. There was a big window--no view, but it opened, unlike so many hotels in modern buildings, so I got plenty of fresh air when I wanted. There were lots of pillows and extra blankets. The wifi signal was strong. The front desk staff were readily available at all hours and extremely pleasant and helpful. You can't beat the location for access to amenities; there is a Starbuck's around the corner, drugstores on every block, and gourmet cafes everywhere you turn. And I am putting this in capitals: THERE WERE ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS OF BEDBUGS OR BUGS OF ANY KIND. I strongly recommend this hotel for budget minded travelers who can tolerate a bit of noise at night. Small but clean, comfortable room. Great price, attentive staff. Great locationGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent budget hotel"
The hotel delivers a spotless room at a reasonable price in a great Upper West Side location (near subway and cross town bus). Nothing fancy but refurbished. "Compact" room is just that. Door latches from neighboring rooms are noisy but this is a small complaint. Central heat works well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A good location on the Upper West Side"
I stay at the Belnord for the location. The rooms are on the small side, clean and well maintained.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"You get what you pay for"
The room was perhaps a little small for two people, but I was there by myself so that didn't bother me. You'd still manage fine with two people though. It was very clean and there were no surprises. I had a morning run in central park to which it's about a 5min walk.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for the price."
Good for the price. Tiny rooms, but clean and renovated. Private bathrooms. Mattresses were hard. Good location close to Broadway.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great little hotel"
Everything is great except that I could hear people in the hallway in and out late are night. The room is Very small of course for the price. It is so clean and one can tell it was recently renovated. Thank goodness no carpet! Will stay there again. Great neighborhood.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A bed with walls"
Adequate facility. The elevator smelled terribly of vomit Surprisingly quietGenuine Expedia guest review
"Small - no doubt about that but pristine"
I mean who goes to NYC to hang in their room ! Sure you'd need to size up if you bring a kid but this was exactly what I needed for 50% less than other options. Perfect location with bars and eateries around the corner - Central Park a few blocks. Neat and very clean - I'll stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Won't go there again."
For the price you pay it's a good hotel, but it's super super small, and the worst thing is that the walls are extremely thin so you can hear EVERYTHING that happens on your floor. I did not get a decent sleep at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cozy room in excellent location"
I love the Hotel small rooms but very cozy excellent location on 86th st. off of Broadway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
well located on the upper west side, this hotel was spotless. Staff friendly and efficient. Room was terribly small, but since we were not planning to be in the room, we did not care. Parking at a reduced rate is also part of the reason we shall return..Genuine Expedia guest review
