The Hotel was OK. The check in process was slow but accurate. On the first day housekeeping was knocking on the door a little before 10. We eventually got a “do not disturb” sign and they didn’t bother us any other morning. They did clean the room and left towels everyday. The room was adequate and clean and bathroom small. The best resource at the hotel was the maintenance man, he was friendly & corrected issues promptly. These were issues that should have been noticed before we found them. The desk person complained that the info we had was incorrect and typical for hotels.com to have inaccurate information. The desk persons were overall not very friendly. I have stayed at this hotel probably a dozen times and always had a great experience but this was the worst hotel experience of my life. The staff was rude when we called about our air being out and we were put in a closet sized room with a double bed not a queen as requested. They sent someone to work on air and he adjusted the knob and said "it'll […] cool down just give it some time" at 1130 pm. We called back at 130am and 230 am and got no response they finally answered and we were offered anotger room only after the front desk clerk hung up on me and my wife. We changed rooms at 430 am and were offered no retribution for our miserable stay. I will never use this hotel again. Read more

The location was good for downtown and all surrounding places to go. There was no ice bucket in the room and and dirty wash clothes in the window sill. There was a BIG roach in the bathroom. :( I know it's an old hotel but they had plextie glass windows?

Historic building so it has that "old" feel/smell. Rooms cozy and decent sized. Free wifi and light continental breakfast which was a plus. Walking distance to everything in the French Quarter. Would definitely stay here again!

For the room fare charged this hotel needs to get in shape. The room was cute, brick wall behind bed ( although there was what appeared to be hundreds of spots of mold all over the brick). I was on a multi-night stay. Housekeeping replaced the towels, but not the soap or shampoo. If you stay here, I recommend stocking up on what you need from the housekeeping cart.

The Q&C is centrally located just close enough to Bourbon St. to walk but not be kept up all night by rowdy revelers. Convention center is also walkable. I had 2 rooms, one in each of the two builldings. The room in the main building was cramped and underfurnished. Housekeeping was slow (3 calls for a roll of TP) and fresh towels left on the bed instead […] of hung in the bathroom. Room in the other building was bigger but aging. Housekeeping was more efficient. Chair was broken so the legs stuck out and I stubbed my toes repeatedly in the middle of the night. Mattress was off it's frame so treacherous metal bars protruded at ankle height under the bedskirt. No insert in the bathroom drain so I had to be extra careful not to drop anything. No place to put makeup or toiletries without danger of falling down the sink or in the toilet. Shower was good, water pressure good, bed linens were clean, fresh, and comfortable. Nice assortment of pillows. Room was quiet, which can be a big deal in NOLA. Breakfast was a nice touch but not much of a draw with Mothers restaurant around the corner. Lock on door broke so it would not read aces cards. Made me change rooms. Card was deactivated one time after changing to new room. Felt like I was going up and down way too many times between room and front desk.

Very nice hotel - didn't like the parking & resort fees, but that's pretty standard in downtown New Orleans, I suppose. It is within walking distance of Bourbon St, which is a fun experience. The bathroom was a bit small, but overall, the hotel has the elegance & feel of times past. Typical continental breakfast was alright. The bed was very comfy.

Don't let the pictures online deceive you. This is an older, ill-kept hotel. We were placed in the "2nd" building next door, and I swear no one has cleaned it in years. Staff was polite, but didn't go out of their way to do anything extra. Just remember you will have to pay the $10 daily "resort fee" to check in as noted generally on Hotels.com page for Q&C. Factor that into cost when comparing rates. Had spacious room at end of hall with king bed in the newer tower across the alley that was great--on Natchez St. side. Can't speak to rooms in older building above main entrance check-in. […] Noticed there are some rooms each side of ice machine you might want to avoid in case of late night ice seekers. Had 4 nice pillows on bed as requested through reservation and comfortable mattress. Plenty of dresser drawers and free wall safe in closet. Drapes completely blocked daylight for late sleeping and room quiet. Staff didn't knock quietly until later to see if still in--ask for a "do not disturb" card if you don't see one. Room always made up while out at noon for the day. Continental Bkfst in main building ends at 9:30 so no idea what that was like. Easy 2 block walk up Camp to Canal/Royal St. entry to the Quarter. Mother's restaurant for breakfast. is block south to Poydras and 2 blocks east. I booked for FQF about 6 months early and got great rate. About 5 blocks from larger brass band stage by aquarium and 6-7 to Cajun/zydeco stage where N Peters and Decatur meet. If I go to FQF next year I plan to stay here again--what a great event!. This hotel would be great for people going to Jazz and Heritage fest also. Read more

Room smelled moldy, stale, and dirty. Room was never cleaned during our 2 night stay. Front desk service was adequate, but the valet/ bell hop was very courteous, polite, and gave extraordinary service.

great hotel. a little noisy in that there is light from the hallway creeping through the bottom and sides of the door and so noise from room across the hall is heard easily. but fast check in and check out and next to a parking lot. close to french quarter and domenica's and ruby slipper. great breakfast. we had a group of friends and one friend was […] checking in around 930pm and they had given away his room and they wanted another $100 for him to check in. so thumbs down for my friend for that attempt to get more money but the rest of us had no problems. Only 2 Elevators can make for slow exiting and entering from the 11th floor. Not a huge deal but the lack of water pressure on the 11th floor and the sound coming from the pipes was hard to deal with!!! The bathrooms could use a little updating. I arrived in early morning well before check-in time, they stashed my bag while I explored CBD & warehouse district, then checked me in as soon as they had a room ready (thanks Stacey). The hotel is convenient to Bourbon Street ,Casino and the Riverwalk. We stayed in the tower and there was an odor in the lobby that was like mildew. Our room could have used a LOT more light. We only had two small lamps, one on a night stand and one on a small table. The pictures of this hotel are not even close to what i was given. Not a brick in sight. All wallpaper and most of it was peeling off the walls. Cigarette burns all over the place.
