Apparently the only single queen rooms are on the hall with the service elevator and my room was directly across from the service elevator. I guess the dishes and glasses needed to be washed at 5am because that's when the clanking and bantering began. Between the bell men, maids and general staff members, our hallway was very busy and very loud.

The Queen sized room in this hotel is mostly bed. It's a boutique-sized room with a very small desk, bureau and not much else. Granted, the location of the hotel is what you are paying for, but I feel that we could have gotten more room for less money a few blocks away and still been perfectly fine in the French Quarter. The hotel is older, but very […] well maintained. That being said, because it's an older building, you can hear just about everything going on in the hallways. The television only had 3 local stations and 2 cable. If I am paying $700.00 for a three day stay, I need to have a little bit more going on than that. It was great being in New Orleans, and great being right in the Quarter. I think this hotel would be fabulous for someone who is maybe a first time visitor and doesn't know their way around the city and just wants to be "in the thick of it". Since this was our anniversary we really just wanted something cozy and nice to be able to kick back and relax in a bit. This felt like a "starter hotel" for amateur night and we are kind of New Orleans pros having lived there. The staff was very nice and attentive and I have no complaints on that front. Next time we will stick to the properties that we know instead of going strictly on location. Read more

Loved the location and the lobby. My friends paid the same price for a deluxe double, but got a much larger room with a sofa and large bar. so I was disappointed in the size of the room in comparison. (rooms 606 and 608). The menu and service for breakfast at the hotel was disappointing- very slow and not enough flexibility in choices.

I believe that I will stay at this hotel every time I come to New Orleans. Although the rooms are small, the hotel is a great place to stay at. The staff was helpful, courteous, and respectful. They had an answer for every question. The hotel is actually on the corner of Orleans Ave and Bourbon Street. With that being said, you can have a blast on Bourbon […] Street, then walk right to your hotel room to recover. Also, the hotel is within a 5 to 10 minute walking distance of Royal Street, Decatur Street, and Frenchmen Street. Royal and Decatur have tons of boutiques, art galleries, and eateries. Frenchmen Street is like the local bar/club scene. In my opinion, it's better than Bourbon Street. And the hotel is literally right behind Jackson Square. Great location, great hotel!!!! Read more

The Bourbon Orleans is a very comfortable and quiet hotel in the middle of the action of the French Quarter. Beds were super comfy, shower was great, and no noise from Bourbon Street. this hotel was a perfect place for us to stay - right in the middle of everything, but seemed quiet and peaceful. The elevators are a bit beat up, and the bar never seemed open, but it was a great hotel. Very good service too

Everything about this hotel was breathtaking. It stays true to its historic roots, while maintaining a polish of class. The valets were very nice and helpful, but upon parking my car on the street in front of the hotel, they neglected to lock my door. I happened to notice and I locked it myself, as my GPS was still attached to my windshield and I would've been very upset if it had been stolen. We spent a night the weekend before our stay at the Bourbon Orleans at the Ritz Carlton and our room at the Bourbon Orleans although smaller was as nice and the bathroom was much nicer! We will stay at the Bourbon Orleans again.

Hotel location was in the heart of French Quarter. Staff and amenities were great. We had a room on the first floor which was convenient but next to the elevators so at times you could hear people coming and going late at night. Didn't eat at the restaurant. I will stay here again if I can get the same rates.

Overall we were happy - the staff was very freindly and helpful (front desk staff, the door men, concierge and anyone who passed by asked if we needed help) and the location was prime (close to great shopping, sight seeing and restaurants). Nice hotel with beautiful lobby. It is also perfectly situated within the heart of the French Quarter; great for Mardis Gras or other French Quarter festivals. Our room was nice, comfortable, and clean...but not fabulous. The bath was fairly large and attractive with black tile. The room also came with a safe (definite plus) and a coffee maker. Wonderful stay. Could not have picked a better location during Mardi Gras Week. The French Quarter and surrounding area is so rich in history, food and art. Though the room was a little small for the price, the service and locatin seem to make up for it. We would most likely stay again.

Cannot accommodate a trailer for parking. I called a head about a week to ask if they could accommodate my trailer. They said yes and assured me they could. Well when I got there they could not and claimed it was a miscommunication on there part. For there mistake they took no responsibility and left me to make my own accommodations.

Had never stayed at the Orleans before but had to book it as my regular NOLA hotel was booked for Super Bowl - was very happy with it, great service, very clean, my room was a little small but OK for me. Front desk and bell caps were great. I would stay here again - wonderful location.

We had a great time here. The hotel staff was great, especially when we checked in. The were all over themselves helping us with our luggage and getting us settled. I booked this hotel b/c I wanted an authentic charming hotel. It turns out it's less charming and more old. The staff was very slow and I had to ask several times to for my car. They also weren't too friendly. Only the one bell guy was helpful and friendly. I was an hour late checking out my room and they charged me. Parking is $38! Our stay was nice. The room was a bit small (standard Queen), but served its purpose. The bathroom was updated and clean. Only bad part was that it was next to the service elevator which was also doubling as a guest elevator. I would stay here again.

Let me start by saying, this trip could have been a complete disaster, but the service of the hotel staff were amazing. Due to a screw up on Hotels.com, we were originally put into a closed hotel and then when we were rebooked in the Bourbon, our room was not actually available. We were placed in a double double room on the street by the ice machine […] the first night. ugh. Unfortunately it was all they had left that evening. They apologized and said the following morning they would do what they could to place us in the room we were supposed to have. Well they did just that. The following morning they put us in a very nice interior King room, away from the ice machine and took care of transporting our bags to our new room, while we were out sightseeing for the day. Room service was also efficient and quick. Our last day, the bell hops held our bags and then took them to the car for our transport to the airport. They were always smiling and ready to help us. The hotel was old, quaint, basically well-maintained & lovely for a weekend get-away! The staff was excellent! Our king bed room was spacious but not warm & inviting. A comfortable chair, better quality pillows & linens would have been a huge welcome addition! An in-room mini frig would have been nice & it appeared to have a space for that but no frig! […] The lighting was not good. Doorman told me I should wait for airport shuttle in Lobby, that I would be informed when they arrived. Looked up to see shuttle leaving, I was forced to pay extra for a cab to airport. Desk staff VERY helpful

I loved the rooms and the location. I have stayed here many times and will stay there again. The bathrooms were great, but the shower heads need to be higher and the soap/accessory basket not so close. I am over 6 feet tall and it made it difficult to get under the spray.

Would have liked some sort of continental breakfast option. The showers were funky with a glass panel but no door or curtain so it was cold. The fan in the bathroom was also annoying. The outlets were loose. But […] other than these small issues the hotel was great. Stayed in a king room with a desk. For two people it was comfortable but would have liked a small setee or couch to sit on as opposed to only sitting on the bed when we were both in the room (always :) ). Very romantic hotel.
