"Nice hotel but noisy"
Our room faced Orlean Street on one side and Bourbon Street on another. At night the bar goers got quite rowdy and their noise was heard late into the wee hours, not to mention there were also drummers on the street. I guess if you get a room that faces the hotel pool on the inside the noise problem would not be an issue.Genuine Expedia guest review
"nice place to stay and see the French Quarter"
Nice place. large and comfortable lobby. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but had a drink at the bar. A very good experience. Just know that parking is at a premium at most French Quarter hotels. There is no on site garage, so the valet takes the car a bit away. There was no problems with this other than a rush and wait at checkout time. (they can't […] bring back all cars at once), and parking cost $35/day. I would recommend this place and/or return. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great pre-Christmas stay"
We spent a night in New Orleans while on the way to Atlanta for Christmas. The hotel was nicely decorated for the holiday and uncrowded. Our boys (10 and 13) got a kick out of the ambience and especially the ghost stories in the lobby. Just a couple of blocks from great restaurants, Jackson Square (and Café du Monde), and Preservation Hall (very enjoyable […] in the winter). We'll come back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel exceeded my expectations. I chose it from reviews on trip advisor and it's in a prime location in the French Quarter. Everything is in walking distance. "Perfect location, lovely stay"
The location is a few yards from the Cathedral. Thought the bar faces Bourbon street, the hotel is very quiet. It has has nice restaurant, classy bar, and large comfortable lobby. It also has a heated pool. The room was comfortable and newly remodeled. Nice beds and bedding. This is not an upscale razzed dazzle hotel. It's refined and quiet, with a […] warm friendly staff. "Nice hotel right on Bourbon"
We chose this hotel because of the reviews on hotels.com and the location. Originally, we had a standard room. I asked the associate if they had any complimentary upgrades. He then told me that I could upgrade my room to a loft for $50 extra a night. What the heck?! I'm a Louisiana native but it was my beau's first time in NOLA. The loft is AMAZING!!! […] He gave us a room that is at the corner of Orleans and Bourbon (Room 315). It's a two story room with livig space on the first level (3rd floor) and the bath and bedroom on the second level (4th floor). It rained a bit and was chilly but we were still able to enjoy the balcony during rain breaks. Cons-one elevator is out of order so it's a bit of a wait to get the one elevator that is working and we would have liked a tub or even full enclosure of the shower. Glass only covers half of the shower area. We'll be back though! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My husband and I had the best vacation ever in New Orleans. The Bourbon Orleans was so comfortable and accommodating. "Great location in French Quarter"
This is the second time that we have stayed here and have been very pleased both times. Rooms are smaller but are very attractive and comfortable. "Lovely hotel in the Quarter"
I booked this hotel through Expedia after looking at the hotel's website, which listed both a higher price and a two-night minimum. I only wanted one night, and got it. My room was perfect and spacious, although there was only one tiny trash can and none in the bathroom at all. I upgraded from two doubles to two queens for an additional $20 and signed […] off on it, yet my hotel bill had a $60 charge. The staff very nicely corrected it. I was on the second floor and very easily took the stairs up to my room to save lots of time. I received two complimentary drink tickets for the hotel's bar at check-in. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, especially if I could again get the rate of $219 a night. My room, 208, faced out to a pretty patio terrace with a pool that I would have loved to go to if not for rain on my visit. This hotel is directly in back of St. Louis Cathedral on Jackson Squate. You cannot beat the location. If you could afford it for Mardi Gras, I could not think of a better place to stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
A++ staff, facilities need repair; room door sticks open, only 1 operating elevator, cheap paint on doors (chalky satin), housekeeping excellent, restaraunt very good. "Amazing Time - Can't Wait to Come Back"
Great old grand hotel. Super friendly staff and ideal location for getting out and about in the French Quarter. Parking was a little expensive but this is is pretty standard for most downtown hotels. Didn't see any ghosts during this trip but plan to be back within the next year. Lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Loved the hot cider and […] hot chocolate provided in the lobby. "Exquisite historic hotel on Bourbon St."
Came here for my honeymoon and received exquisite service. Staff made extra efforts to ensure my bride had a memorable experience. "Great place to stay in NOLA"
The hotel is located less than one block frin the St. Loius Cathedral and Jackson Square. The room, though small, had all necessary ameneties and the bed was comfortable. This hotel advertises itself as 'the most haunted hotel in New Orleans'; I'm happy to say we did not encounter any paranormal phenomenon during our stay! The staff were pleasent enough […] but the hotel was sorely understaffed during the day. Each time I tried to see the concierge to have a package shipped there was a line of at least 3 people waiting. We waiting at least 40 minutes just to check out of the hotel. "Not what I expected and not worth the price"
Really disappointed. I lived in New Orleans for several years and always wanted to stay here since it is in such a good location smack in the middle of the French Quarter. At these prices the overal condition and service of the hotel should have been oustanding. Unfortunately they were not. The lobby furniture is in dire need of replacement. Shabby […] is about the kindest thing I can say. The room itself had no easy chair, nothing other than an office desk chair (mesh/plastic) although there was plenty of room for an upholstered chair. Plenty. The coffee maker is located far away from the bathroom (for water), which made it unwieldy - and noisy - to get up with someone else sleeping in the room. While the room was very clean, it wasn't cleaned until late in the day, sometimes as late as 5 pm. And, finally, although I did not have a car I was charged three days plus tax for parking. Yes, the charge was removed but it shouldn't have been there in the first place in all. Overall, a big disappointment.. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Beautiful hotel, but couldn't use my drink coupons ... bar was not open, or under construction...I couldn't tell. Hotel staff did not seem concerned when I checked out and told them about it. My room was great, but the view was of a pool under construction, so I kept the blinds closed. Unfortunately,I booked the hotel because of the heated pool. "Direct Access Bourbon Street"
Just one step out of the hotel you're part of the pulsating life in Bourbon Street. Mississippi River and French Market - all walking distance. Great. The hotel has lovely flair. If there is any point to improve it's the I house restaurant and the training of their staff. "Great location and service. The room was lacking."
Hotel location is between Royal and Bourbon Streets - couldn't be better. Bell Captain Calib, and his fine staff, know how to please their customers! The hotel is charming and overall is above average. Improvement could be made with the following improvements to room comfort: better circulation (stuffy room), exhaust fan with a timer (not motion activated), […] a chair or two (only had one office chair), and finally a modern mattress (old and lumpy). However, we would return because of the location and staff! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, very nice hotel, had everything."
The hotel was a nice, historic hotel in the heart of everything. It was in the traditional style of New Orleans. The bed was extremely comfortable (we had a king) and truly one of the best beds I have ever slept on during a vacation. The bathroom was large but the shower was very small and awkward and the water leaked out of the shower stall due to […] the way the shower was made, onto the bathroom floor. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The bar in the hotel was small and we never visited the restaurant, it also was very small and not too many people seemed to be eating there. There was construction going on in the courtyard so we weren't allowed into it, nor we were allowed into the ballroom. There are many fun and interesting things to do in New Orleans. We took the Ghosts and Spirits tour at night and our guide, Yvonne was guide. It was more historical than spooky but it was not for children. We also took the cemetery tour and our guide Trevour was awesome - again very historical. There are so many restaurants to choose from - we tried several - they were hit or miss. One of our favorite things to do was go to the French quarter, beignets at café beignet were awesome as was the hot chocolate and we also took a trolley trip to the "fresh market" (different than the French market). I would definitely recommend these to anyone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Thanksgiving in NOLA"
Had to get out of town for the holiday and the Bourbon Orleans was turned out to be an ideal destination. It's an historic building, so expect a vast lobby and cozy guest rooms. The locataion is great, beiing close Bourbon Street for the NOLA night scene, Royal for shopping, and Jackson Square for local art and street performances. There was some work […] being done on the hotel while I was there (makes sense as it was a "down season" for the area); the pool was being redone (no biggie because it was cold!) and one of th elevators. "Bourbon Orleans - right in the heart of NOLA"
EXcellent location and price - right smack dab in the middle of the French Quarter. Some oddball things marred the experience somewhat: 1) When we went to our room after checking in, we were surprised to find a maintenance person in the bathroom preforming repairs on a door - and he was surprised to see us, too! 2) Our room keys stopped working prior […] to the stated 12 Noon checkout time, which was inconvenient. Booked a small balcony room overlooking Orleans St. (not one of the 2 story lofts) for 4 nights. It was everything I had hoped for. The hotel was as beautiful in person as in the pictures, the staff were all friendly and attentive, the room was clean and comfortable, and the balcony was wonderful. The only thing I could complain about was that there […] is no door or curtain on the shower, just the glass panel covering half of it, so it got cold in there, and water got out of the shower... but that is literally all I could find to complain about! "Nice Hotel close to all mayor attractions..."
All is good about this Hotel, the only recommendation is to separate the crowds so young crowds can be on specific floors with all the noise while families are assigned to different floors. I recommend not mixing them people drunk at 3:00 am is not fun...Genuine Expedia guest review

The Bourbon Orleans was the perfect location. It was right between Royal st and Bourbon St and surrounded by shopping, bars, and dining. The hotel had a nice bar that was also on Bourbon Street.
