Great location! Nice services. Our only one fault was during the check in since we reserved a king size and there was not available. A two full beds were provided. The second night it was corrected.

The good: The oceanfront view is unbeatable at this price, the beach was clean and not crowded. The bad: The room was really bad in cleanliness, the bedsheets / blankets / towels were clean but walls and bathroom wasn't at all. It wasn't stinky or anything but just dirty from use; felt like an old room. Also no maid service happened even though I left a tag requesting it for the whole day.

Horrible place to stay- 1) Staff very arrogant and careless (gave us wrong set of keys twice within a gap of thirty minutes, took us eternity to get into our room. Also didn't bother to read our request about what we wanted. 2) Room smelled of dead fish. Dirty, slimy floor. Blanket on the bed was old, stained and reeked of bad smell. 3) Towels were dirty and looked as if they were not washed. 4) Pathetic coffee machine and the closet looked from medieval era. 5) Beach towels smelled so bad that they could not be used. 6) House keeping didn't bother to come for cleaning even after repeated reminders.

Everything was cool. The rooms were small and not much to write about but with the beach in your back yard all we did in the room was sleep. The hotel restaurant had some good food but they have a little gem of a pool bar out back which is awesome. The neighborhood is close enough to all the night clubs and everything but far enough away to were if you have kids you can take them outside at night. The local food is awesome. There's a little Cuban/Italian place right across the street it's wonderful.

The first impression was wow, the lobby was really great, but then when I entered the room.. everything changed. So dust, stains, but no weird smells whatsoever. I really hate the extra service charge for $20 a day, so whatever is the total of your room fees, you need to add $20 per day. But the pool and the beach were really awesome!

We had problems right from the start. Coffee maker didn't work and it took one whole day to get a new one. We never had any washcloths. The bathroom was never cleaned. They never left coffee packets without numerous calls to desk. We returned one evening to find our door not even closed. Carpet in room was not vacumned once in entire week. Staff was not very friendly or helpful. I would not stayhere again or recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

The hotel wasn't spectacular at all but it wasn't the worst either. It's conveniently close to the beach, very nice pool but however the rooms are very small(smaller then the average small hotel rooms). Very old fashioned look in the hallway that's not impressive at all. A make over is much needed. It wasn't the worst experience but I won't stay there again.

This hotel is in major need of a complete makeover. It is outdated design and literally worn out. Bathrooms are dirty and old. Windows are old. "Renovation" consisted of painting over old furniture and at that a poor job. It is a great location with many nice little shops and restaurants in the area, but the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired.

i did not like this hotel at all, it was old and our bathroom toilet made a whisteling noise day and night each time u flushed it. we had to ask for face clothes and the maid service was terrible, we sat right there and saw her mop the floor and let the two pennies that were there for two days there. the staff people were not very accomodating and were very impolite to us. the bathroom door was raised about 3 inches of the floor and there was no stoppers in the sink and they used rubber stoppers in the bathtub. very old and for the price that we paid i would not go back there again, nor would i invite my friends to go there either.

Very nice staff, rooms were ready early. Pretty resort and location. Just not the cleanest hotel. Bathroom floors were not mopped, and there was dust/dirt in the corners of the floor. If the cleanliness picks up it'd get a better score.

This was a 1 night stay at the last minute. The hotel was recently renovated, but unfortunately the firm who did the work did a very poor job. They have photos from 1964 when the Beatles visited and held a concert there during the hotel heyday. They need to come up with a new, fresh theme for the hotel.

Nothing is good about this hotel, except the posh and luxuriously looking lobby. The *mandatory* resort fee of $20 is a misnomer to get a low price on Expedia, and still make money on the tourist. Even if they have bracelet to let guest in the pool area, you cannot opt-off. Parking is an external and independent parking establishment, at $30/day charged separately. Personnel can barely speak English (Spanish would be their native tongue), and, they forget to change towels 3 out of 6 days. Floors are noisy, with customer running and screaming in the wee hors of the night. Room has a renovation touch with the new bed heads in white leather, but, other than that, they have bathrooms from the 80's (the mirror may be from the 60's), dirty walls, dirty hallways

The hotel is very old and has not been updated since the Beattles trip in 1964. The swimming pool is not clean, the breakfast was not included and they charge you for the umbrella in the beach. The sun of Miami saved our vacations and I would not recommend this hotel.

Very dissatisfied with hotel, accommodations & cleanliness. Arrived late or probably would have left. Our room had a bug on the wall and several on the carpet. We had only a sheet on our bed and it was our understanding that we had a mini refrig but didn't have one. Husband went to front desk and asked them to clean our room properly the next morning. He wouldn't take off his socks because carpet looked filthy. Room was "cleaned", but husband went back down because the dead bugs were still on the carpet and on wall. Felt like everyone wanted to be tipped for everything. Restaurant & Tiki Bar staff (Andres) were fabulous!!! Food and drinks were great awesome!

First night, we got into the hotel and we have to be moved to another room because we find the .cplace filty, disgusting and in top off everything tdihat the a.c. and heater unit did not work at all, one off the valet parking staff told me that the hotel were under restoration, basically some floors , if that was the situation , why they were using those rooms UNFINISHED, that it is a total disrespect to the public and the guests.I and my wife will never goes back to that hotel and I won`t recommend to nobody to vacation or neither stay for a trip business at "The Deauville" hotel. First, room was Okay but the coffee maker was sOoooOo dirty that has filthy water with disgusting stuff running around the water inside. Also, show room does not have curtain just half glass blocks above the bath tub. The room phone didn't work and the 500ml bottle cost $6!!! The hallway looks creepy and the water pool is very small with lots of forms caused from putting so much chlorine.

We have been to several other hotels in Miami but once we found The Deauville we have not & will not stay anywhere else. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is very helpful, friendly & always has a smile to greet you with. The staff always greets my husband & myself by our names as soon as they see us arrive because they make it a point to remember faces & that really makes a guest feel special. I would recommend this hotel & only this hotel to anyone who asked. We will not stay anywhere else. The pool, hot tub & outdoor bar are beautiful & the walk to the beach isn't really a walk at all, just a few steps really.

If you park your car within the hotel, $50; if you decide to park cross the street, they told you that you have to pay here and it is $30, when actually the parking lot charge only $20. very very bad experience. They are not professional. They do not have any microwave in the entire hotel that you can use. Sucks! Things are old as well. not very clean at all. no breakfast.

The staff was kind and helpful with directions and any other question. We were given a free upgrade to an Ocean View room and I will always be grateful for that because I was going with my two children for the first time to Miami. The hotel just needs to be painted and maintained to look its best. The lobby is great, but old tapestry and lacks better design. The beach was very nice. Its a very good hotel to go with family.

I hate it! We paid over $100 for the night and we had a very bad experience The entrance was very nice looking but when you go to the elevator that's when you start seeing the difference. The room was not properly clean, bathtub had hairs on the wall, the menu papers had info that other guest wrote it and the sheets was not clean! They used a stained sheets to make the beds and the host guys are desperate for tips. They tell you in advance about their tips. I personally won't recommend this hotel for nobody!

My dad and I stayed here for an expo in Miami. We liked how close everything was to our hotel. The service was nice and friendly and the beach was beautiful. I wish we didn't have to pay for parking. Not their fault since its in the city.

Paid extra for services that normal hotels always provided such as pool towels, room safe, and gymn. Hotel also took 3 hours to put a safe in my room that was portable not a bolt down but something someone can walk away with. Overall conditions was below average.

The in room safe is secure due to the fact that it is unable to be opened by anyone other than the guest because it is protected by the guest unique password. Outdated; Air conditioning leaked onto the balcony, plastic chairs on balcony, only provided 1 lounge chair for beach area, which you could not move, pool was dirty and had an awful smell, the hot tub was out of order, the elevator was down. Overall, a terrible hotel to stay at.

Not clean, hair in the tub, stains on sheets had to wear sandals in the tub and throughout, loud noise all night was to be expected. Def No place for kids! Pool party there needed 5 officers to control the crowd, we were not notified there would be a pool party and could not use the pool even if we wanted to- literally hundreds of drunk adults jumping around to rap music. We were charged extra for use if the pool too! They also charged us an extra fee that we still haven't been able to get an explanation for. Bad experience will never go back to this hotel. It was like training day.
