I travel at least 5 times a year, the majority of which is for business. I am very easy to please when it comes to hotels. I've never even made a negative review. "Poorly managed hotel; low morale of workers"
There is an obvious lack of morale and an absence of commitment to the hotel by its workers. This is something that comes from the top, so I can only conclude that the management needs training so they can better train the staff. Although some staff were clearly very "nice" and polite, the "niceness", hence customer service, depended on who they are […] as people, and not on cohesiveness and training. The hotel was understaffed, disorganized, and workers appeared overwhelmed, moody, and over worked. The elevators often did not work. When we asked when they would be repaired (after many guests had to use the stair well and go out the emergency exit (which, by the way, did NOT set off any alarm as it should have) we were told that "it was the fault of parents who allow children to play with the buttons". Cleaning staff looked exhausted. Leaks in the walls from old pipes. We also called the front desk several times and no one picked up the phone. Air conditioning system on the roof broke and sounded like a helicopter had landed on the roof. No one seemed to know what to do??? They charged $20 for a beach umbrella, $15 for a beach chair, and $15 per towel if you didn't return them by 6 PM although the pool is open until 10 PM?? They charged $25 per day in addition to the $20 "service charge", "in case we destroy the room". No valet parking but $30 daily for you to park your own car a block away. Not good. The manager at the front desk was extremely rude, housekeeping called and knocked on our door several times each morning to wake us up and the staff was generally unhelpful at every turn. There are a few other bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. There is also a store directly opposite where you can buy pretty much anything you need. Does fruit and pastries which we brought back to room some mornings. Also a budget car hire shop ops which we arranged to pick car up from if you are using this its cheaper to book on line. My 4 yr old and I arrived early. I called to see if we could check early. We were told to call back in 2 hrs, but that the room wasn't guaranteed until 4. We decided to show up at 2 and drop off our luggage. Room still wasn't ready. After asking how much longer it would be, we were given wristbands and access to the pool. The pool was freezing (I didn't […] expect heated, but the ocean was warmer) and dirty. Lots of debris floating and dirt on the bottom. At 4 o'clock we went to check in. We waited in line while several people checked out. When we finally got to the desk, I was told that he needed my credit card for and imprint. He then proceeded to ring through an additional $90 'Resort Fee' for our 2 night stay! When I questioned what he was doing, he directed my attention to the signs on the wall behind him which broke down the $20 /person/day resort fee for amenities (the pool, beach access, wifi, in room fridge, safe) (Hotels.com lists these as free) and I was told that I had the option of not getting a room key at all! it was too late to make other arrangements with a 4 year old in tow, so I took the room. The Wifi wouldn't work (excellent signal, but no IP). Never got the promised call from management or IT dept. Housekeeping didn't come to service the room until 5 o'clock the next day. We left a day early, willingly forfeiting the prepaid night! No one seemed to care about customer service until we were checking out. At that point they refunded the resort fee. "Unhealthy environment and bad service"
We have been to Miami eight times and this resort is the worst. To begin, the bell boy didn't assist us when we arrived so our taxi driver did. Then the front desk staff were extremely rude. Despite advance payment, we had to show our airline boarding passes, e-travel documents and credit card records to convince them that there should be rooms reserved […] for us. As a family, we required two rooms. The first room smelled like urine and there was a large brown stain on the carpet of our second room. The resort obviously did not consider that we informed them weeks in advance of our health conditions that required non-smoking and scent-free rooms. Also, the safety deposit box was not secured to the wall/shelf. The staff reluctantly moved us to cleaner facilities after we recorded images on our iPad to prove our concerns. Face towels were not provided after the first day (only hand and bath towels). Coffee and disposable cups were not replenished on a daily basis. Upon check out, the front desk tried to charge an exorbitant amount for not showing up! Se quiser um guarda sol na praia, tem que pagar US$ 15 por dia de uso. O serviço de recebimento de alguma entrega é péssimo, pois só faltam pedir seu RG e CIC do Brasil, além de cobrarem US$ 5 por volume. O carregadores de malas, só te ajudam se Você pagar antecipadamente pelas malas, pois caso contrário, Você tem que carregar suas malas do carro até a recepção e até o seu quarto e vice-versa. Não possui rampa para pessoas com dificuldade de locomoção. Meu amigo ficou num quarto com vista parcial para a praia. A vista parcial para a praia é uma pequena janela, que péssimamente dá pra ver a praia e além disto, a janela não abre, para entrar um brisa. "Udmærket hotel med god udsigt over by og vand"
Generelt et fint ophold med en god udsigt over byen og vandet. Desværre ikke mulighed for udluftning på værelset, hvilket betød meget duggede ruder på værelset når man har været i bad.
