This was our third stay at Casa Marina. The hotel is beautiful, staff is attentive. Hotel is located on the quiet end of Key West. Pools and beach are fine. Problems with sea weed washing up on the beach. Lots of rocks at waters edge. We missed the swimming platform that was located out from the Hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Casa Marina Key West"
Overall the stay was satisfactory. However, we were not advised of the $25.00 per day resort fee and all additional fees were subject to tax. So a $229 per night room ended up being $307.00. Also the housekeeping was very poor, and the cost for food/beverage was extremely high.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had a very lovely experience. Loved the pool and the beach.Genuine Expedia guest review
We loved the location. It was walking distance to many great things. It was well maintained and beautiful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice to have the beach right there"

Updating in rooms . The breakfast a little high priced . Would visit again. Nice location .......Genuine Expedia guest review
"Most of the staff were very polite"
Most of the staff were very polite, except one guy from the pool that delivers towels and chair. HE was very un-professional, always in bad mood. Also we went to a jet ski tour around the Island with was great but when we return my wife's bathing suit was missing and no one could found it.Genuine Expedia guest review
We checked into our room and on the first night we found it was next to the maintenance storage area. The cleaning/maintenance crew opened the squeaky door all night long. The second night we were moved to a smaller and not so nice room on the 3rd floor, only to find the rooms have tile and the women in the room about us, decided to walk on the tile […] until the early morning hours. "Disappointing to say the least"
We booked a 2 night stay at the Waldorf Astoria based upon the brand reputation, the 4 star rating and the photos posted. We have done a bit of traveling and have stayed at a variety of hotel classes and chains. I wouldn't consider myself a hotel snob, but I do have a good understanding of what a 3, 4 or 5 star hotel should represent. I understand historic […] hotels have smaller rooms, etc. and I am perfectly fine with that. I have walked into some rooms and been a little disappointed, and some pleasantly surprised. I have NEVER opened the door to a hotel room and been so shocked or had such a disparity between my expectation and reality. While the hotel lobby and main grounds are up to par, the room was in no way a 4 star Waldorf Astoria or any other brand for that matter. We were placed in the wing off the main (historic) building and it was like walking into a Motel 6. The furniture was cheap, falling apart, the tile floors old and dirty, the room stunk and the bed hard as a rock on a solid platform. We brought the issues to the front desk and while she was very apologetic, there was nothing that could be done as they had no rooms available that night, but they should be able to move us to the historic section in the morning. I checked back and got the front desk supervisor. It was clear to me the staff recognizes the issue as he promptly offered to credit the $25 resort fee, but no other rooms were available. Don't expect a Waldorf experience here !! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great location. Great view. Unhappy that there was no beach. The pool was lacking. Elevator we used to get to our room had no A/C and the room was just average. I expected more from the price I paid for this hotel and the name.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great amenities terrible room"
The hotel is awesome there are two full time concierge people to help book tours etc whatever u want. The outside is amazing with hammocks and people bringing you frozen lavender scented towels to cool down. The room we were in absolutely under par. I mean it's literally a cheap motel room, I'm serious it's that bad, was clean though and we were out […] all the time but the room was terrible Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great family memories"
I could very well see my family return to this resort annually. Love that it is close to a decent beach and away from but close enough to Mallory Square if this is more your speed. Staff was fantastic, very hospitable and accommodating to my fam which includes two small kids. Also love how there was a separate pool area and activity area for the kids. […] Met some pretty friendly families at this pool too and was so great seeing all our kids play together. Children's activities during the day were so amazing too. I can't wait to go back! "one night stay"
-we stayed for one night. thought it would be nice to stay a a little nicer hotel and it was. everyone was nice and friendly. willing to help you out. -the room was spacious and the bed/pillows were VERY comfortable. -they have breakfast available, but make sure to ask first how the breakfast buffet works. that would be my only complaint. i am not one […] to complain about money but the cost of the buffet was definitely pricey which come with staying at such a nice resort. i just wished i asked before i decided to eat. -otherwise all was good :) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Just an extraordinary time here at the Casa Marina. A short drive to town and craziness, coming home to quiet and comfort was the key. I got married on this trip so it was extra special. "Trust me" you can get a room stay for less but beware, not so good. I have stayed in B & B's, up on Roosevelt Blvd a few times, THIS by far was the best. The hotel pictures are deceiving, especially the one of the beach. It doesn't have a real beach, and it is full of seed weeds. The condition of the swimming pool is not very good. I couldn't see the bottom of my feet. This is supposed be a classic old hotel in Key West. But the actual facility doesn't convey the classiness at all. It has no soul, and […] the service was poor. "Saggy beds and musty smell"
Historic property on good location on the beach with water sports. A bit far away from the busy part of Duval (20 min walk). We had to change rooms in the middle of the night because the bed in our room had two deep depressions and was giving us back pain. Bed in other room was marginally better and had a strong smell of mold. Pool only 4 feet deep. […] Room decoration very trendy but a bit unpractical. Warm water took around 4 minutes to get going every time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"First class service"
The staff is the best we have ever encountered. We were treated like royalty. Too bad housekeeping is the opposite. Rooms are not cleaned until 5pm, toiletries were never replaced, and the patio door was left open. The rest of the hotel staff is superb!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel conveniently located to Duval Street"
We loved this hotel. It had its own private beach with lots of water sports available. The staff was amazing and very customer oriented. Everyone was eager to please. "Nice hotel, but needs updating"
When you hear Waldorf Astoria you expect perfection or at least near perfection. Well, upon entering our room we immediately noticed that the shower stall glass has soap scum on it (wish I took pics of it) and the bathroom doors were partially rotted (warped and soft at bottom of the doors). The bathroom looked to be enormous in the pictures we saw […] on the website but when we were actually there realized that it was almost a standard 8' x 6' room. Several of the bath towels had brown stains on them. Finally, the television was perhaps only around 24" size. I was hoping for a larger flatscreen. On the plus side the front desk staff, doormen, pool and bar staff were extremely nice. The outdoor amenities such as the pools and bar/dining areas were pleasant. And last but not least, the view of the ocean from the beach was unreal. I know that my first few comments were maybe a bit too harsh but I want to let everyone know what to expect when you pay to stay at this Waldorf. I draw my personal experiences from staying at other high end hotels in NYC such as The Conrad hotel, Trump, Ritz Carlton and I use those experiences to gauge my stay here. If you can overlook these minor details then I believe you will enjoy your stay here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not worth the money"
Our stay was okay. Hotel need needs a little TLC. Also our room had adjoining room/door and were told all rooms are like that. You can hear everything people are saying in adjoining room. Unruly people at pool setting up their own bar at poolside, using inappropriate language and when asked to keep it down became very abusive. Made for a very uncomfortable […] situation for everyone else. Where was security? Location is a bit far from Duval. Service was pretty good and friendly but definitely not a 5 star property. Too much money for what you get. Balcony was very small and no privacy there either. There are only flimsy pieces of cloth dividing the balconies. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel was lovely. It was very charming. The front desk person was pleasant. I was disappointed that our room did not have a balcony but i was not sure if I requested one when I rented the room. "Excellent service....attentive staff"
Loved the pampering at the beach and pool side. They serve you fresh fruits, Popsicles, frozen eucalyptus towels and more. Casa Marina ruins your beach experience elsewhere. The only negative is the beach. It is rocky and lots of seaweeds. Their answer to this is a pier where you can go down and swim.Genuine Expedia guest review
Our room was old, outdated and shower wasn't working properly. This was shocking considering how expensive the room was. When my husband requested we be moved, we were told that we could be moved but a different room would cost an additional $40 per day. Unacceptable. I really expected more from a Waldorf property. Will never be staying here again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Areas for improvement"
The grounds are beautiful and this is a great location. However...the wifi didn't work in the room and barely worked on the grounds, I could hear everything in the adjacent room through the connecting room, and the AC never cooled the room completely. Not worth the price per night.Genuine Expedia guest review
This was our first visit to Key West. Very happy we choose Casa Marina for our stay. The facilities were first rate as well as the staff from check in to check out. Our only dissapointment was their wifi which turned out to be very slow. We would highly recommend Casa Marina to anyone visiting Key WestGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hotel Treats 3rd Party Bookings like 2nd Class"
The resort is world-class, with a world class beach front. However, as soon as we checked in, they said "Oh, you booked this through a third party (hotels.com) so you get our last handicap assessable room." WHAT? why? "It's pre-paid through them, my hands are tied." I don't care about a handicap assessable room, as long as it is nice and comparable. […] Well, it was not. No art on the wall at all, no balcony, no view (parking lot). Again, resort was incredible, but the room left a bad taste in our mouth. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Should be a 3 star hotel !!! Rooms ok but bathrooms too small !!! Beach not very nice !!!Genuine Expedia guest review
Ok hotel, but way overpriced. Rooms small and simple. When we checked in the clerk said we had an island view room . She should have said roof top and wall view. Beach small and full of a huge pile of seaweed which did not get cleaned up while we were there. A/C did not work well. Would expect much more for $500 a night. Price must be based on history […] of the hotel and Waldorf brand not what you get for your money. I have stayed in a lot better hotels for less money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Price a lil steep for room we were given. Towel bar in bath fell first day. Internet service terrible!Genuine Expedia guest review
I was extremely disappointed in the customer service of the hotel especially being associated with the Waldorf. The room was never cleaned on Sunday night. We even called the front desk to ask for service while we were at dinner. Additionally, the check in process was quite difficult and it took an extremely long time to check in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Wonderful break from the brutal NJ winter! This hotel was perfectly situated with great amenities. From fruit and drinks on the beach, to a great lunch poolside, service was impeccable. "not a Waldorf experience"
We brought our stay on hotel.com and paid about $400/night..however I think this price is too high for the quality of the service at the hotel. I would not pay more than $250 next time. The location and property are absolutely beautiful but the service and upkeep of the room is overpriced for what it is. It is by no means that of a Waldorf property. […] Our room was not maid up during the entire stay..when we called repeatedly, we were told that the hotel was full and that we would have to wait. As the towels piled up in the room, the toilette also backed up twice (I guess the building is old and pipes are as well). The manager did little to resolve the issue. In addition, I was also told by manager on duty that I could not have a late check out like the other members of our group, because I had purchased my stay at expedia and paid a discounted rate. But the fact was that I paid the same rate that was listed on the Casa Marina website. There was no discount at all...I even paid considerably more than the other members of my group! The manager kept telling me that there was nothing to be done except to send the housekeeper up at 9pm. This is unacceptable for a resort that is charging more than $400/night. As for the rooms, they are very small, the paint is peeling from the walls and the tub had rust stains. The exterior of the building is also not receiving the upkeep a high standard hotel deserves. "Beach was amazing. Room not so much."
The first room we were assigned was moldy and in disrepair. The hotel was more than willing to switch us and we were given another room that was much better (at least what you'd expect from a 4 diamond hotel). The hotel staff were very nice and professional. If you are going to partake in alcoholic beverages I'd recommend asking for their signature […] shakers. They are $28 to buy and $18 to refill (4 drinks per shaker). We only learned of this an hour before our plane was scheduled to leave so we didn't benefit from the savings. Otherwise each drink is $12 or more. I'd go back again, it was a lot of fun. 4 o'clock towels were a hit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, service needs improvement"
Casa Marina is in a beautiful location. The hotel is a little dated and not up to the quality I have experienced at other Waldorf locations. "Sunny luxury in the middle of a snowy winter"
We've stayed at the Casa five or six times over the years. We like it because it has its own beach and is located away from the fray of Duval Street.
