The hotel facilities are great. It's clean and no complaints about any of the services. Where I have an issue with the hotel, is that I paid for a Great Room Suite but ended up in their standard Deluxe Room. No explanation or rate adjustment. The receptionist was on the phone for about 5 minutes without as much as a "pardon me" or letting us know what is taking her so long to check us into a room that was already reserved and paid for. She also acted like she was doing us favor just being there. When we checked out, we used their web based checkout on an iPad in the reception area. When I received the final checkout email, they had charged an extra $30 for using the "Refreshment Center". We didn't even open the fridge door let alone use any of the refreshments etc... The point of this being, watch closely and make sure you get what you pay for. This establishment is greasy like most other establishments in Las Vegas.

It was a quiet Sunday night, room was affordable, clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only thing I regret is not having the time to use their gym or pool.

Pleasant surprise at check-in as we were upgraded to a suite. Helpful staff with a lot of energy around the hotel. Wonderful restaurant options. Nice layout of gaming area. Only downside being at the end of the strip, long walks to get places including the monorail.

Brought our two kids for a quick stay after touring Zion, Grand Canyon and Sedona. Mandalay has the best pool situation and the kids loved the wave pool and sandy beach. Room was a little tired looking but fine overall. We stayed at the sister hotel Delano the 2nd night and it was much nicer/more modern. However, pool access less convenient. Both are connected on opposite sides of the casino and share several great restaurants. Overall, Mandalay by far the best place to stay when traveling with kids.

It was just for a night, but they were able to accommodate every little request: shuttle service, restaurant recommendations, tickets to shows, late check out. The use of the monorail made the taxi irrelevant.

Only spent a night here, but choose the hotel due to the large pool area. Hotel has great restaurants, some decent shops, but the best assets are the pool (sandy beach, wave pool and lazy river) and the view from the Mix bar over at the Delano tower (go for sundown drinks). Room was lovely and bathroom was a great size. Although our view was not strip facing, but had a view of the pools which was fine as I know what Vegas looks like! I've stayed in a number of hotels in Vegas and Mandalay Bay is one of the better value/quality 4*s available. Only negative would be the position on the strip if you are there for the first time. Unless you like walking, it is far away from the other attractions and will cost you money for buses or the Monorail to get out of the hotel if walking isn't your thing.

We stayed for a family trip over Spring Break. The pool was awesome as usual. My only complaint is you just can't find a place to sit. You really have to walk around the pool area a couple of times to hope to find a lounge available. I don't know what the answer is. However, we loved the wave pool the best. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are VERY friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. I really like the location too at the end of the Strip. Very easy access in and out.

Couple things that hindered my family vacation: overall, the room was clean but our shower drain was clogged and the left sink had a slow leak. One of the doors leading to the bathroom was broken, and would only stay closed sometimes. Then, on our second night there was a emergency alert on out floor that was annoying, and offered little insight as to what was happening. The ticket clerks at the Aquarium were rude and annoying. The beach pool was ridiculous. They let guest from MB, Delano, and the Four Seasons use the pool. This caused overcrowding and almost a half hour of searching for 1 beach chair. I doubt I will ever stay here again..

Hotel is nice and opulent but there is a lingering smell of cigarettes. The check in was quick and smooth. It is so far south of the strip, where the action is that we thought Vegas was dead. The free valet parking is awesome and very convenient. We didn't have to wait more than three minutes to get our car. Watchout for the mini-bar. It is weight sensitive and even if you lift a bottle of water, you will be charged.

The looks of hotel was nice but that was it. Got to the felt like the bed was broke by a fat person laying on it all day. The room was facing the airport and was so loud all night and the morning. I hung the do not disturb sign on the door and the maid still came in welling room service at 6 in the morning and woke the kids. If you have no kids or are hung over then I guess it would be no problem.

The hotel and room were fine. My only complaint was the dry air in the room which left my throat and sinuses raw and sore ever morning. Installing some type of humidifier system would help eliminate this.

Enjoyed my stay. Weather was warm, pool was crowded, sports book busy. Long walk from elevator to room but it was good exercise. The pillows were a bit small but fluffy. Best blueberry pancakes I've ever had!

Stayed at Delano. Beautiful room with a view. Housekeeping missed service and had to call - guest services was great. Returned to a made-up bed and cleared trash but refresh in amenities. Very quiet room and floor, with exception of periodic elevator noise. Great lobby lounge and access to casino, if you enjoy that. Pool chairs difficult to find - people just leave towels down in the AM and come out whenever they want - staff should clear towels if no personal items are left to make room who are actually there. Pool servers can be hard to find. Neighborhood is nice - end of the strip - which keeps you out of the chaos further down.

Good location if you like to be slightly out of the hustle & bustle of the strip. This has been our choice of stay when in Vegas for the past 10yrs but I think that will change. Room cleanliness is declining, beds are showing wear with dips, the rooms need a deep clean & bedding makeover. Upon entering our room it had an odor like armpit/sweat but housekeeping came & sprayed something right away that helped. Good luck getting a drink when gambling, we had to run around to find a server for a drink & then practically beg for 1 simple drink. On a positive the valet was quick.
