Smoothe.... My stay was very comfortable. The staff members were very accommodating. I forgot my computer mouse at home and Eric from guest services, called about 5 stores to find me a mouse. The $25 dollar per day resort fee was nonsense. It's first week of January. If you are going to close the pool area during the winter, the resort fee should be lowered. FYI, resort fees will be $29+$4tax=$33 per night as of 1/1/2015. Internet connects only upto devices. it's fine. it's been around a while and isn't showing its age like some of the other resorts. The shoppes are not great, but you can go to the luxury shoppes nearby if you need that fix. The restaurants are mostly overpriced and nothing to get excited about, but again you can leave the casino. It was too cold to use the facilities while there. The Manadalay Bay is a great resort that offered all the creature comforts I was looking for. The property is a bit dated but was well maintained for being a 15 year old property. We were terribly disappointed with our room at The Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. The hotel grounds, casino, lobby and restaurants on the lower levels are lovely, but the rooms are old, poorly decorated, and worn out. We paid a premium for our room and were put on the 5th floor overlooking a roof, even though we called in advance to confirm that we […] were, in fact, coming. The furniture was dated, as well as all décor items. The bathroom towels were thin and worn out, the toiletries substandard for a hotel of this caliber, there was no wastebasket in the bathroom. And only one chair at a desk, no other seating. We ordered room service which came in a shopping bag, no tray, no table, just dropped off in our room. The food was mediocre and expensive. We had to call for a second chair and blankets. You could hear doors open and close all night in the hallway, and there is little sound proofing, we could hear music play all night in the adjoining room. Best smelling-casino on the strip! The rooms are large with floor to ceiling windows for a wonderful view of the mountains and casino. I booked our room thru hotels.com upon our arrival the front desk was unable to find our reservations. They advised us that because we had just booked the room the reservation would be available at midnight and we either had to wait or book another reservation thru them and I would have to call hotels.com and have them refund me. The hotel is lovely, clean, and modern. It has many great amenities. The restaurants were not quite up to par, though.
