Very clean overall, comfortable bed, the hotel's casual restaurant provided very prompt (and surprisingly affordable) room service. The front desk clerks were hit or miss, a few were very knowledgeable and helpful, a few were not as well-trained. Parking is sufficient and the hotel seems quite safe. Food other than the hotel restaurant is not super […] close. A complaint that frequent travelers to hotels of varying stars and locales have: Maids burst into rooms. A half-hearted knock while simultaneously opening the door is not sufficient! This occurred with 2 housekeepers on different days, and it is unacceptable. If I do not have to leave to drive/make a flight until 10:45 am, then I'm likely still in the room that I paid to stay in until checkout. Even asking/informing them in Spanish does not stop the interruptions. Read more

This hotel is pretty old, but they seem to have done a lot of updating and for the price it was a great deal. Staff was pleasant. Lobby updated. However, the positives stopped there. Our bathtub had a live roach in it. The toilet was very old and barely flushed. Room decor seemed very old and tired, with only cosmetic changes. Thin walls, noisey. Not a comfortable hotel.

Pros: Room service was good. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was appropriately comfortable. Cons: Far from the airport. Long waits for the shuttle. I waited close to 30 minutes to be picked up at the airport by their shuttle. It was another 20 minutes to get checked in. The staff at the hotel was very pleasant. Older hotel, some what out dated. Staff worked with me concerning an issue with my first room, but the second room had no bath towels in it when I went to take a shower the next morning. The night before I left I called the front desk for a wake up call and never received it.

It was terrific! We arrived at 10 pm and our room wasn't quite ready. Not sure why a room at that hour is not ready, but it asn't. My wife was anxious to get something to eat, and after waiting about 10 minutes they gave us a coupon for dinner and said enjoy and we'll have your room ready for you when you return. Food was good. Great value, great service, close to airport/freeways etc. Clean and comfortable. Good amenities (lotion was missing), rate was great, excellent desk personnel. I personally didn't care for orange color walls and bath room door that doesn't permit the floor mat/towel in place, and shower curtain that refused to stay in place.

Would rate everything average with the following exceptions: Positive was Lillian at the Front Desk. She righted a wrong with superior customer service and warm hospitality. Many thanks to her for her efforts. Negatives - hotel shuttle took 49 minutes from call to drop off at front desk, clearly not acceptable. Not all of the toiletries were in place […] in the bathroom. At first glance the hotel looks nice, but the hallways and lounge area could use a good cleaning. Our room was clean and served our needs for an overnight layover. The shuttle to and from the airport was great. On time and very quick getting us there. The best part of the hotel is the restaurant on site. Food was wonderful and very good margaritas!

The hotel looks newly remodeled, but still a little worn around the edges. It is very noisey but that's to be expected considering how close it is to the Houston Airport. The food in the onsite restaurant Good Eats and the room service is terrible and over priced. I would only recommend this hotel to someone that needs to stay close to the airport.
