This is NOT the standard of a Hilton Hotel! Does not look at all like the pictures on their site - the best part was the lobby, but the rooms are the quality of a Best Western. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! I paid extra for an upgraded room after seeing the original room, and was moved to the penthouse upper level floor to a "nicer" room; however, the only thing […] nicer about it was the view out of the window. On the second day a HUGE 3-4" roach appeared on the wall. I called front desk and they sent up the maintenance guy with a can of bug spray - he sprayed and sprayed and sprayed and the roach went into the air conditioning unit and hopefully died; however after spraying in the A/C unit, it never worked well after that and never cooled below 74 degrees. The ROACH experience is enough to stay away from this hotel ... but unless you are paying a low cost per night you will disappointed with the quality of the rooms here. Room and bathroom was no clean and nasty. Hair was still in bathtub. I asked to not be in a noisy area, but was stuck right infront of the elevators on the 5th floor. EXTREAMLY noisy. The hotel and room were really nice. THE AC SUCKED!!!!! It was so hot at night. We could never get it to stay on unless with was on fan. They will pound on your door at 9:30am to clean your room. I told them to come back later and they came back at 10:30. My check out time was for 1:00pm. Lets just say I got 3 hours of sleep thanks to house keeping. When I asked the front desk what they were going to do to make it right the black woman at the front desk said I cant do anything. This hotel was in a giid location. The staff was nice and professional. They even let me check out an hr later with no charge. The room was a non- smoke room but somebody definitly smoked in there. "wow, the worst hotel ever"
i picked this hilton, thinking the name represents a set standard with quality. boy was i wrong, and i am not a picky person, just a clean room with shower would have been good enough for me. first of all, this hotel is right next to a night club by a very busy freewway, if you are a light sleeper, this will not be the choice of stay. what bothers […] me the most is, Februaray in Texas, while winter is drags and hot shower is needed, there is no hot water in the shower. it was late, so we didn't want to bother the front desk. when i told them right next day, the front desk said " oh i am sorry, you should have told me, you already prepaid the room, and that's it " , wow, how courteous.. nighborhood is sorta sketchy. there was a party going on first floor, they really trashed the public bathroom. i really not normally like to complain, but the quality of this hotel is just so bad, i have to give my inputs so other people will benefit from this review. i feel embarrased for hilton, hope this doesn't represent other locations.. We arrived very late but our room was reserved for us. It was immaculate. No stains on carpet or bedspread. The beds were very comfortable, we had a coffee maker in the room as well. The first night that we were there, because we had requested a lower floor, there was a party taking place in the party room next to ours. "Poor customer service"
When my husband and I arrived at the hotel, it was around 2 am in the morning. They should have had plenty of time to have our room ready. But we were given key cards to a room that was already occupied! The second room they gave us had two double beds, when clearly we had signed up for a king bed. On top of that, the hot water setting in the shower […] had very little pressure that night. We did report on it that night. And they may have done something to it the next day, but we did not notice any big difference.
