Crowne Plaza Paris Republique - Paris

Can't really give a sensible feedback given how short my stay was - just one night... however I was quite pleased with it. Was there on a business trip for a client on Champs Elysees and since I don't actually enjoy staying in that other area I looked at the map and figured that Republique would be a good compromise.. easy connections and closer to […] Bastille and Marais which I enjoy better. I actually loved it - you can walk to Marais and soon will enjoy a completely refurbished place de la République (luckily I woke up 5 minutes before the hammer drills started :-) so I can honnestly claim that I enjoyed the quietness of my room, which was also quite impeccable). Now it is also true that it has the flavour of some international hotel... same standards as everywhere.. so you take it for what it is - wifi is pretty expensive.. also I preferred to skip their breakfast offer as it seemed too much designed for Americans and Brits (no offense!) , and preferred to go at the next bar tabac next door to have a coffee and a croissant. the hotel was in a not so up scale neighborhood.. homeless people camp under neath/on the side/corner of the hotel and they were making loud noises at night. construction all over the nieghborhood but no one is working. the room smell like a menthol. toilet is separated from the main bathroom which is a bit inconvenience. the check in receptionsionist […] is not friendly at all (Kalina) she warn us about the pick pockets in Paris. Family of 4 shared 1 room for a very short stay in Paris. The room was big enough for all of us. Nice sice bathroom. Nice, clean hotel. Conviniently located by metro. Many restaurants and cafes near by. A bit scatchy area. Too many homeless around but they don't bother anyone.

In a delightful week in Paris, the best service we got anywhere was at this Crowne Plaza. 100% of the staff was 100% engaged with making our stay top notch. This is a great hotel with outstanding staff, it is too bad the area is a little rough right now. Republique Square is under construction and generates allot of construction noise on the front side of the hotel. Had a large room by euro standards which was great for the family. The entrance to the Metro is right outside the front door. Right now there is major construction in the square and cars cannot drive up to the hotel. Taxi has to drop you off a block away. Major negative is no wifi in the rooms at all. Although La Place de la Republiquemits currently ongoing repairs and the traffic around the hotel is a bit heavy due to the undergoing work on the square, the hotel is pretty good and its worht its value for money.

We had an issue where parts of power for our room did not work at all and they could not get anyone to fix it. While they offerred to change our room, we would have lost more time shifting aorund with kids, etc... Also, lack of 110v is a problem. Travel […] with your own voltage converter in additon to a plug adaptor if you have appliances that only take 110v - if you stay at this hotel... Last comment - they had an adaptor but not for letting guests to use but to buy (for 10 Euros)... Sort of a cheap trick to Nicle and Dime you... All in all a good hotel to stay in. Right next to the metro and easy to get around. The concierge was superb in helping us with all of our plans and sightseeing. Great location about 200 feet from Metro Republique Station. Mini food store and bakery 1 1/2 blocks from hotel. Hotel was very soldily built and quiet at night. We were on a family trip to Paris but we also business people at the hotel. Our room location was on the top floor facing a large interior courtyard where we could not hear street traffic.

Prague's elegant Crowne Plaza just off Plaza Republic was perfect for our family . Spacious, well-appointed rooms with ample mattreses and luxurious bedding were a welcome end-point to a long day of walking/sightseeing. Loved the bath soaps! Breakfast (included) was a generous buffet . Concierge was extremely helpful.

Hotels in Paris in general have small rooms that is OK. But for the premium price which you pay this isn't the value of money for such a small room. Was staying on the top floor (4th) which is below the roof, there was hardly a window to see outside. I thought I was staying at a very clean but cheap hotel.
