Sea Club Resort - Fort Lauderdale

I took my wife to this hotel the Saturday before mothers day.It was ok, but it could use a lot of updating. The location is perfect, is about .7 miles away from beach place so it's a nice little walk on the beach to get to Fat Tuesday. It's a good hotel to rent if you are staying for one night

The poor hotel needs about $3 million invested in renovations... it is a comfortable bed, has insanely hot water with crazy water pressure but that is about it...which is fine for us. This hotel is a bit dated, but very nice location right on the beach. Friendly management and staff. Adjoining restaurant/bar has fun atmosphere and pretty darn good food - especially for breakfast. I would stay here again for the same reasonable rate.

Hotel was unique, but the elavators were very scary, so we took the stairs. hallways and stairways were not clean at all, and only one woman at the front desk was nice. Everyone else was kind of rude or abrupt. The room was clean, but very old. It was across the street from the beach!!! and we were not there long, so overall, not bad for the price.

Being there five years ago it was very nice. This time I'm very disappointed. they didn't change anything. The hotel is older. We stayed for two nights. First night was our anniversary night, so we enjoyed a walk down the strip. The hotel is conveniently on the strip. It has a decent restaurant/bar to wake up to. We had lunch there and it was vey good. We then went to the beach, which is directly across the road. Spent the day there to watch the air and […] sea show. Came back to the room, went in the pool, and then took a short nap. We then checked out at 8:00pm and went home. This was because there wasn't much more to do. The tv was a 27 inch old school box, that only had 4 channels and there was no wifi. We live only 20 minutes away, and decided we would be more comfortable at home. The room served it's purpose for us. A place to be safe after a night of partying, a place to sleep, a convenient place near the Fort Lauderdale beach. Read more

Wow - this place is a diamond in the rough. The staff are great. The rooms and hotel are not in good shape but the hotel is in a great location, the pool is nice and it has a bar/restaurant with the nicest views in Ft. Lauderdale and the prices are reasonable. Worth every dollar we paid but this is not a luxury hotel.

I must first start off by saying that the pictures online are clearly deceptive in terms of the rooms. The professional pictures that were online were definitely NOTHING like what we got when we opened the door. As […] we walked down the hallway and through the doors, we noticed the filthy carpet and walls, scruff marks all over the walls, and not to mention the room. This hotel is disgusting and horrendous. After checking in we went to our room and found the room deplorable, the tub and sink had been repainted and full of rust with paint flaking off, paint peeling from the ceiling and the carpet was filthy. The furniture was some odd ancient from the 60's. Rusty nasty ac units. Rusty nasty toilet. I can go on and on but I think you get the picture. We had a clean bed and shower. Everything else is in need of serious renovation. Hallways, carpets, doors and walls were very dirty and run down. Right on the beach location was perfect for us. The Sea Deck provided us two great breakfasts.

The hotel was kinda gross overall. Old rugs, gross colors, cracked bathroom titles. It did have a wine/beer opener fixed to the bathroom wall...so depending on your priorities....shower worked, but kinda gross. my "balcony" overlooked what I think was the central air-con for the whole building....the acttual unit in my room didnt work, for heat, air […] on or fan. hotel staff was pretty short and uninformative. No complimentary breakfast or coffee of any kinda. Beach was close. Pool looked ok. resturant attached looked pretty basic. You get what you pay for. VERY old hotel, it is in desperate need of updating and cleaning. The one thing that totally disgusted me was that there was a black ring around the bath tub. Really gross! Everything was old and dirty. It wouldn't have been so gross if they only cleaned the grime in the bathroom. The one good thing about the room was the bed […] was comfortable. The noise of the kids running and screaming all night long was unbearable. One other good thing was that the location was on the beach and near all the action. The parking was free, which is unusual for any where in Florida. They have a restaurant and bar which was mediocre. Other than that its a place to lay your head. TV is poor as well.
