This hotel was absolutely disgusting. The elevator barely worked. They say you are on the 24th floor when in fact its the 4th floor, and that was only after I had switched my room from the ground floor due to the extreme noise of people locking and unlocking their car right outside my window! The halls smelled like cologne and the elevator smelled like mold. When I told one of the workers about the elevator he agreed with me they should look into it. The elevator door barely shut it was either old or poorly maintained. I would never stay here ever again. A Marriott Courtyard is better and at least you know its clean!!

Great place to stay to join a cruise the next day. Water taxi to take you places (including beach stops) and the hotel is an easy taxi from the airport and cruise terminal. The hotel itself was relaxing and wonderful. Next time in Fort Lauderdale, I will stay here even if I plan a beach visit rather than a cruise.

You can catch the water taxi right outside this hotel no need for a taxi to see the entire town. It was 13.00 for an all day ticket. Wonderful. The staff and bellman especially were awesome. If I had any complaint at all it would be the additional charges they put on room service not only a tip but a delivery charge.

Very convenient to dinning places, shopping and water taxi. Very comfortable bedding. Found bathroom in need of maintenance though, shower head won't hold it's position, low water pressure, slow drain in bath tub, water accumulating while taking shower. A bit surprising for a 4 star hotel. Parking $19.00/day or 23.00 valet, not mentioned when booking. Still a great value for money considering other conveniences.

The room I reserved was fine for the evening till I actually checked into the room. Upon sitting on the bed I noticed that the pillow cases were dirty and had hairs on them that did not belong to me. There was also a nightstand light that had to be removed, as well as a bathroom light that was flickering. The lights and bed linens were addressed immediately, but the last issue was really beyond disgusting-an infestation of ants prevented me from enjoying my balcony. I did address my issues with the manager on duty whom immediately resolved all isses. He offered to move me to a room that was in much better condition that had a balcony that I could actually use. The response from management is the reason I will stay here again. James not only offered me a nicer room, he also threw in breakfast vouchers at China Grill. The room was incredible, and the breakfast at China Grill was superb. James saved the night, and we really enjoyed our stay thanks to him. The hotel is really beautiful, but to trulyt enjoy it you must stay in the tower rooms.

The hotel was overall nice. We had no problems with staff, and the house keeping team was excellent. Over all I would recommend this hotel if we you don't mind $19.00/day for parking and the distance to the tourist attractions and the beaches. Also be careful what time of year you travel, we ended up at this hotel during the volleyball tournament and the hotel was taken over by pre-teens and teenager. The pool also has poor night time lighting not safe at all.

The hotel looks nice and has good water view on channel, but you have to take a taxi or drive car to the beach. You, probably, can take a water taxi to Las Olas. Looks like you need some kind of transportation to anywere you want to go. I guess this can be compansated by price. It is much chipper than those on the beach line. The room was clean with a lot of towels. Windows do a good job blocking outside noise, but there is no good noice isolation from corridor - any time someone speaks on the corridor it feels like they are talking in the room. Shower had two shower heads - very nice. I liked that very much. The shower had frosted glas wall, but no door. Some water from shower was on the floor. I did not like sliding doors into bathroom. You can see bathroom even when doors are closed. Room had a good design, nice lights in bathroom, HD TV. Bed was comfortable. It's a good hotel for a price. Would be much better if no noice from "inside"

It is a nice location, very scenic on the water, and nice pool with poolside bar. The two things I didn't like were the bed was verrrry uncomfortable ... no box springs, just mattress placed on a wood platform, and the mattress had no give to it (not even sure if it had springs in it) and was very very uncomfortable. The other (somewhat expected) thing I didn't like was the outrageous prices in the restaurant. I mean, it was double or triple what it would cost for the same food at any comparable restaurant in the area. So, no, I didn't eat the food and don't know how it tasted. The staff was very nice and accomodating.

The sliding bathroom door was a bit of a mystery as it didn't really close, just covered the doorway from the rest of the room. Great rain shower in the ceiling with awesome water pressure. Excellent location for the convention center. $19 a day to self park your car was interesting. It was either that or valet. Overall, I would recommend the hotel and say it was a very good experience.

Part of the hotel used to be the "Grande hotel", and it's older. So ask if the room is in the new building. The location is good, just in front of the Cruise port, and 10 blocks from the marketplace. You can take the Trolley at $1 just in front of the hotel. Things that need improvement: the carpet is old, a little bit noisy.

Overall, a good experience. However, I would agree with previous reviews. While the bathroom's interior design is modern, it is not super functional. The shower has glass over only half the stall and so water splashes onto the bathroom floor. Also, there are only two towel hooks in the shower stall itself. And the doors do not afford lots of privacy. But if these issues do not bother you, the hotel room is otherwise fine.
