Best Western Plus President Hotel at Times Square

Conditiof of the room is the worst I have ever experienced in 4 starts rated hotels. I will never stay here.

Great location for seeing the sights. Mere steps from Times Square and Broadway. On the other hand, being this close to everything, it is unavoidable that you'll hear sirens and other noises that "The City That Never Sleeps" has to offer. The room was small, but the bed was comfortable, as were the pillows. The bathroom was quite adequate, but the toilet […] needed to be "jiggled" after every flush to stop running. One of the elevators was broken while we were there, causing delays. It was fixed by the morning we were leaving, seven days later. This is a "budget" hotel so don't expect employees to fawn over you. Coming to New York for vacation, as far as we were concerned, the room was just a place to sleep and, for that purpose, the hotel was fine. Over all, I would stay at the hotel again. The hotel is close to many theatres. If you come to NYC for the broadway shows, this hotel is a great choice. The interior deco is modern. The room is clean but small. Housekeeper was very helpful.

The rooms are smaller than a closet. It is almost claustrophobic. I had to book a room at the last minute and not too many choices were available. There is no desk to work, difficult to move around the room as it is tiny. The only good thing is its location close to Times Sq.

The first room smelled so badly I had to move my new room was not completely made up the floor wasn't vacuumed and the pillows looked lyed on. I had zero hot water all stay long. Never again.

I do wish that the room had had a "real" comforter on the bed. There was a very light blanket on the bed over the sheet, so it was somewhat difficult to get comfortable that night - I may have been able to ask for more blankets from the front desk, but never called down. The shower had GREAT water pressure, and the shower head was high enough that I […] didn't feel like I was going to bump my head when I moved around. However, the drains were slow in the sink and the shower. Not many complimentary toiletries in this hotel (I always bring my own just in case, though), so make sure you bring your own lotions, body wash, etc. Room was very small, with no view, but I think that's the norm in NYC. The Hotel has a perfect location and is a fantastic deal when it comes to value for money. The things that bothered me are: 1. The Aircondition is right next to the bed so you end up getting a cold 2. The shower has no balance between hot and cold water, you get both of them even when you put it on cold water.

Front desk service was wonderful, but everything else about the stay was sub-par. The hotel had an old moldy smell, the room was run-down, the AC was loud and stopped working on my last day stay there, and the toilet was finicky where I had to take off the top of the toilet to jiggle the level to get the to flush. I am staying in the city for 10 days - personal and business, and will not be going out every night. I stay in a lot of different hotels in NYC, for both business and pleasure, and I must say; this hotel is one of the worst... Cosmetically it looks okay, and very flamboyant, if you're into that. But behind the scenes, it's pretty bad. For starters, the hotel staff is evil. Very nasty people, everything said and done with an attitude, they almost make […] you feel like they're doing you a favor by letting you stay there. Then there's the room key situation. They use a very old system, so the keys get cancelled out about twice a day, so be prepared to often make trips to the reception, And wait on a line with other hotel guests with the same problem, waiting for key renewal. Also in the four nights I stayed there, I witnessed the elevator stop working twice, so hope they gave you a lower floor. The rooms are extremely small too (smaller than the usual midtown hotels), and offered us no cell phone reception in the room, using verizon and AT&T... Overall I would not recommend this hotel. And there are MUCH better hotels in the city, for MUCH more reasonable rates... Read more

This is the best value for your money. I had the cleanest hotel room I have had anywhere. It's in an absolutely excellent safe location, less than a one minute walk to times square. I will not stay anywhere but here, it's one of the cheapest places you can stay, all while being clean and designed well. I found the staff to be very friendly too.

Very pretty and nice rooms--smaller than what expected of course and there was a big red stain on the floor which looked like juice or something spilled and was never cleaned up. Overall not bad, a little small. Had to ask 2x to get a toilet fixed that would not flush. They tried and and never got it fixed during my stay. Thank goodness I had a little plumbing know how and could rig it to work. AC was hardly able to keep up with the summer heat.

When we arrived to check in the front desk clerk was extremely rude. Then when we got to our room we were shocked at how small the room was. No where to fit to bags which made it so uncomfortable. Hotel was in a perfect location for where I wanted to be.The room was small and the hallway getting off the elevator was extremely hot. The staff at the front desk was very nice and the concierge was helpful but a little hard to understand.
