This was a disappointment, as we are usually very satisfied with La Quinta Inns overall. The hotel was in the middle of renovation, and very messy, there was paint/joint compound in many places. Our bathroom door was broken and barely closed. Although the booking was for a family of 3, we had only 2 towels to for showering. I made the unfortunate mistake of chossing a hotel that was $10 less than the one I usually stay at in Erie. When I arrived i realized why. The entire lobby and hallways were in the "early" stages of renovation. The place was basically in shambles. The room looked like it should have been next on the list. Bad moldy bathroom caulk, veneeer peeling off […] of the door and the appearance that everything had been painted one too many times. The beds however were very clean and comfortable. I also had the misfortune of having a snoring griszzly bear in the room adjacent to mine. The walls were so thin it felt like he was in the room with us. When it continued on through the night, The staff was more than accomodating and offered to change the room, but it wasn't practical at 3:30 am. Overall, I would say if you can get the staff to follow you to another hotel, it will be more than worth the $10. Read more

Stayed one night at hotel was very easy to get to, check-in was easy, as was checkout. Pool was clean and daughter loved it. Breakfast was available and offered many choices and kept stocked.

Stains on the carpeting upon entering room 209, Curtains frayed, bed not neatly made. Message light was flashing on phone and no one knew how to stop it. Bathroom ceiling light needed to wiggle the off/on switch to get it to work.

Except for the fact that there was no maintenance staff available in the evening when we checked in and the smoke alarm was beeping in my assigned room , I went to the desk. he sad he'd come check it out which he did but did not know how to fix it. i asked for another room to be told he had no other rooms available. When i told him that was not acceptable […] (reservations made a month in advance) he suddenly remembered that he indeed did have another room on the 2nd floor. If La Quinta wants to be viable and successful hotel, there has to be staff to fix malfunctions rather than saying "no others available as if a room with an alarm going off every 30 seconds would have to be acceptable. Cleanliness of room was below average. Hotel service was below average. Breakfast was average (coffee cold). Staff is young and gave the impression that they did not want to be there. We booked this hotel because of Rate. We will most likely stay somewhere else next time.

We originally booked a king suite, but when we arrived, they told us they didn't have any left. They gave us a key to a regular room and we opened the door and the room was dirty and there were mattresses all over the room leaning up against the walls. We walked all the way back down with our children and our luggage, and there was no apology or anything […] about the mix-up. They simply said, oh, well we will have to give you a different room. Outside of hotel appears worn out and dated, but rooms are modern, clean and uptodate. We needed a pet friendly hotel, and the room was clean, no pet odors, and exceeded our expectations for quality. I feel the value was not appropriate as we paid too much for the qualifty of the hotel.

It was a good place the only problem that we had was after our room was cleaned 2 days in a row we had to get new keys so we were on the 3rd floor and had to go back to the lobby to get new keys it wasnt that bad but inconvient.

I still give the hotel 4 stars because it was what we expected. The room, lobby, pool, etc...was very clean. My only complaint would be the breakfast. My boys LOVED the waffles. The egg/sausage was processed...not sure if that is what they really were. The eating area is extremely small and people were standing to eat. It was a bit pricey, but a nice hotel. My friend stayed at the Marriot Springhill suites and paid the same amount for a much nicer place. I was alittle nervous when I walked into the lobby and the person working the desk was sweating bullets because the air conditioner had been broken for days... Another thing, the door in the back of the building was […] not locked, which means anyone could enter the hotel at any time of day or night - kind of scary!! Our room appeared clean when we arrived, however we ahd booked ahead and had a confirmation but when arriving we had to wait for room key,etc. because only 1 person working and they couldn't keep up. Then we went out and when we returned for the night we found bed not very comfortable and no extra pillows but we managed. Then in the morning I woke first […] and used the bathroom, toilet wouldn't flush and then shower wouldn"t drain. I called the desk and they said they would send someone. They did, 1 girl with a plunger, all she said was it wasn't something she could fix. I waited half an hour and called desk back , they said they would try to send someone else, noon e came and I had to call again. They said we would have to change our room in order to use a toilet and shower. So we packed up and moved. HOWEVER-that toilet didn't flush either, this time when I called they said we coulod move again. I said no, first of all my husband can't do stairs and he was getting very upset at not being able to even go to the bathroom. This time they sent a boy to our room, again with a plunger and 9of course he couldn"t fix. He did say they had called a plumber and were having alot of problems. They also at that time gave us a voucher for 1 night free at any Red Roof. I felt it could all have been handled better and more quickly by advising us opf problems and calling a real plumber sooner, afterall when traveling it isn't pleasant waiting a couple of hours to use a bathroom and shower. We were disappointed, expected better. Bed mattresses were the pillow-top style, but well broken in with "valleys" were each person slept. Air-conditioning worked too well and could not be controlled. Had to go to the next exit (2 miles) on the interstate for any local restaurants.

It was clean and staff was responsive to requests. That said they were ridiculously understaffed especially for a weekend. On several occasions I either had to track down an employee or wait 15+ minutes for the staff at the desk to finish with the guests ahead of me. While that certainly isn't a major crisis under normal circumstances, I had a violently […] ill child (yay family vacations!) and thought that on a weekend there should be more than one desk person. Getting into the parking lot was awkward and not well-signed for visitors. Also I left behind an extremely expensive knee brace that could have been no where else but in that room, (because of the sick child we did not leave the hotel room) I called within 24 hours and it was gone; it must have been discarded. It boggles my mind that something that obviously critical could have been tossed in the trash. Read more

Very, very thin walls.. Sunday am breakfast was not great, Attendant at front desk talking while things were empty and messy. Housekeeper was very pleasant, very nice to our granddaughter. The worst was how noisy it was.
