Good except for the continental breakfast. Very skimpy and the orange juice was undrinkable because the machine it hadn't been cleaned in probably months. Disgusting. Probably could had made people sick if hey drank it.

Mangament was notified of faucet ready to fall off and bathroom drain in shower plugged up after first night. they did nothing to remedy the situation. Continental breakfast was the worst I have ever seen. Management was very rude and no help whatsoever. Can't recommend this hotel to anyone.

$50 per night in Castleton is great, but that's the good news. Althought the room was okay, a king size bed with 3 regular sized pillows is not good and nor was the meger breakfast. I just don't feel that this hotel lives up to the Magnuson standard.

Hotel is kind of rundown and the upkeep seems lacking. the room was comfortable, but had just one desk chair. bed was fine. both times I was at the front desk, the person was talking on the phone and did not stop to talk directly with me. Location is fine, though, a lot of restaurants and shopping in the area, which is why we stayed there.

Once arriving and checking in, the toilet overflowed and flooded the bathroom. It was not clogged. It was not at the right shutoff setting and overflowed. We cleaned it up. We told the front desk and they said that we must of clogged it because they rent the room out all the time. She demanded that we take a plunger and put it by the toilet and never […] even looked at the toilet or offer to clean anything. We then wanted to watch a local station football game and it said they get the station so we asked the front desk. She said they do get that station and when she went to show us it was not the correct station. She then stated that the cable must be broken. We also had a shower that had no water pressure and it was impossible to wash your hair. Our stay was 11/3/12-11/4/12 (daylight savings time ~fall back an hour). This means that check out at 11 am should not be affected since clocks are changed at 2 am. We received a call at 10:20 am (which used to be 11:20) and was told that we were the last ones in the hotel and they "let" us sleep an additional hour. I asked her if she knew it was only 10:22 am and she said yes. Immediately after that there was a knock at the door. It was the cleaning person stating we are late and need to leave. He did not speak English well and just kept pointing at his watch. He was extremely rude and told us we had to leave. Only real issue was that the coffee maker in the room didn't work, which to me isn't a big deal as I don't drink coffee...My wife however wasn't very happy that we had to go to the breakfast area just to get her morning coffee, then return to the room to finish getting ready for the rest of the day...This is obviously an older building, and it shows […] in the carpeting which is beyond shampooing and really needs to be replaced....But for the price it wasn't that big of a deal, as we were on a motorcycle trip, and have paid more to stay in worse places....Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area too which is a plus, as no searching involved if you're hungry and don't know the area...We'll probably stay there again next time we do an overnighter in the Indianapolis area, as it's more comfy than a tent and sleeping bag on the ground.... If you are looking for a place to stay for a night or two this is a good place to consider. It is a nice clean hotel where I had no problems. I was not looking for an expensive place, so I was satisfied. One thing, their fitnes center small and has very few pieces of equiptment.

I have stayed in other Magnuson Hotels before that were nicer but this one really needs some work in the cleanliness area. Carpet in room very soiled. Bedspreads stained and dirty. Room very dusty. Especially behind the beds. Lots of dust bunnies......Other then the cleanliness the staff was very friendly and courteous.

The room and exterior doors had 'break-in' marks on them, the front desk attendant was ice-cold and uncaring, room service cleaned room ok, but there were no extras - it was bare essential room. Arrived at hotel at 2:30 pm. went to front desk, sign at front desk said check out 11am, check in 3pm. The girl @ the front desk informed me that our room wasnt ready, and that check in time wasnt until 3(& pointed to the sign behind her) and that they were booked solid the night before and no one checked out till 1pm, & that we just needed to ride […] around for about 30 min. and she would have housekeeping go and clean our room so we could get in. REALLY?? So there was one single solitary car in the lot when we pulled in, the sign (as she pointed out to me) clearly stated check out time is 11 am!! and yet they had no rooms clean because the whole entire hotel didnt check out til 1pm. Clearly 2 hours later than the posted check out time!! I was beyond irritated! but chose not to make a scene. Came back 30 min. later, got checked into our room, the outside door that clearly stated that it was locked and could only be accessed with out room key for OUR Safety, was unlocked. The hotel wasnt filthy,(and yet it wasnt clean either), but I was hard pressed to believe that there is anyway they could rent out the entire hotel even if there wasnt another hotel in the town!! I wont go back, it served its purpose as a last min. place to stay for the night after a concert. But definatly wouldnt recommend it to anyone either. Read more

Uncomfortable bed. TV remote held together by scotch tape. Stains all over the floors. Poor service at check in. I would rate this at 1.5 stars. Not anywhere close to a 3 star experience as rated on all the travel sites.

If you are looking for a place for a night with reasonable rates this hotel is OK. However, there was no pool and the continental breakfast was just rolls and bagels. There was no fresh fruit. Also the sheets on the bed did not fit properly.
