"A bit tired"
The staff was very nice and helpful, but the tub and sink were very aged, showing wear and needing replacement. The breakfast was good and sufficient, but minimal. The parking area in the back was full of equipment, dirty linen for pick-up, trashy looking - was concerned about parking the car there. It was very difficult backing out. It was nice to […] have a sink in the room with the frig and microwave oven. It was also nice to have a sofa. Lots of bathroom counter was a plus, especially outside of the tub and toilet area. Nice luggage area and big clothes hanging rod. No pool. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"great location to all of Mammoth"
The parking was rather crowded and not very giving to full size vehicles. The room appeared clean but had an odor to it. The staff was very polite and friendly. This is hotel is rather outdated and should update soon. The tv was old and small but we only used it at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is comfortable and the staff friendly. It smells of old carpet because of its age. Parking is covered. The room was quiet and comfortable except the mattress was a bit hard. It was roomy with a refrigerator, microwave, kitchen sink and a cabinet with a few plates and soup/salad bowls. The breakfast was a choice of cereal, English Muffin or […] Bagel with cream cheese and jelly. There was also coffee, tea and a pitcher of orange juice. No fresh fruit. It was a good place to stay for the money. There is a restaurant next door. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Convenient motel near mountain busline."
Not much in the way of amenities (& bring your earplugs!) but functional, option in Mammoth... I was suprized at the high price for this reservation, I could have easily found a condo for the cost of this room! My friend's we're staying there, & it was convenient for mountain transportation.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient location with a large room."
Large rooms, microwave and refrigerator. Bed was comfortable. Ski and snowboards can been locked in provided lockers to keep it out of the rooms and out of your car. Big plus.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Trip to Mammoth"
Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast did the job. Great stay for skiing. Lockers for ski gear were available in the parking garage, so I didn't have to lug them into the room. Great idea. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean, comfortable rooms. Would return if I was staying alone; however my wife and several friends of mine would not be able to handle the stairs. All rooms are on second or third floor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The place was OK. My room was clean and spacious, if a bit dated. Everything I used worked. The staff seemed friendly. The breakfast was adequate. WiFi worked but was not fast. My few particular complaints: The only curtains on the window were blackout curtains. So if I wanted privacy (the Travel Lodge is right across the way) I had to draw the blackout […] curtains and block out the sun in the morning; which I would rather see at the appropriate time. The outdoor spa was small and did not look particularly clean or inviting. The TV in the room was a tiny old CRT -- but on the other hand I suppose no one goes to Mammoth to watch TV. I paid $119 + taxes and fees on Expedia. Could have paid $103 through Tripadvisor. Anywhere other than Mammoth Lakes CA, I would expect an equivalent room for $80 or less. "Convenient, great value, 5 minutes to mountain"
The mountain is a 5 minute drive or bus ride to the mountain (the bus stops right out in front of the hotel). There was a free continental breakfast every morning which included, fresh bagels, cereal, coffee, etc. which was really convenient. There was a great little living room to eat breakfast in. Great hot tub right outside our room which we could […] access from our deck and the hotel room included a pull-out sofa bed so the three of us each had a separate place to sleep. The hotel manager could not have been more friendly. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"great hotel for budgeted vacation!"
great overall! staff are friendly and attentive. Don't expect too much about the cleanliness of the hallways. Need to put some fresheners in the room. You get what you paid forGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Inexpensive but highly outdated. We stayed 1 night and it was tolerable. The Jacuzzi was not old and worn and not hot...Genuine Expedia guest review

"weekend ski trip"
The front desk was nice and helpful. The room was large. It was nothing special and the bathroom is a little outdated but everything was clean. I was actually expecting less for the price we paid. The covered parking was great with lockers to put your skis in. The location is perfect - shuttle stop right outside and John's Pizza across the street. The […] only draw back was you could hear the hallway doors shutting every time someone used them. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay while skiing."
Bus-stop right in front of lodge. Quiet. Close to restaurants. Covered parking for sensitive vehicles. Ski lockers next to car.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pretty good for the price"
It was the cheapest place for the weekend and it was better than expected. Better than Motel6 or the horrible Travelodge in Mammoth. I'd stay there again. My only issue was they guy saw 3 of us when we checked in and said hotels.com only booked it for 1 person. He said the 2nd person was free, but the 3rd person would be $10/night. More of an annoying […] thing than a big issue. But, I think they shouldn't be charging for extra people. If you have more than 2 people, then tell the others to wait and not check in or bring their bags up with you. It's also right next to the trolley/bus stop, which is really useful. "Wish we could have stayed longer."
Mark at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was large and comfortable. The only downside is the hotel did not have elevators. This made bringing our stuff to and from the room somewhat challenging.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice hotel centrally located in Mammoth"
Had a great stay. Clean room, nice staff, and a comfortable bed after hitting the slopes. The staff was very helpful when we had asked about the local area and nice things to do. Plus the FREE red line bus stop, stops directly in front of the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
Uncomfortable beds. All else was fantastic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The beds were a bit uncomfortable, Everything else was very good. The location was awesome to hang at the village. And the service was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I would stay here again"
Great value for your money. Spacious room, convenient location close to downtown and the ski resort.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Rooms were plenty big enough, in the center of town and within walking distance to restraunts. Staff was more than helpful. I would recommend to a friend and also would stay there again myself.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great lodge in the middle of Mammoth Lakes. The manager was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was large and has a fridge and microwave. I would stay here again especially if skiing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room is clean and comfortable. Good customer service. My only complaints are there aren't enough tables and chairs in continental breakfast room and the breakfast bar layout is unorganized.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable beds, good location and price"
Pros: Covered parking, comfortable beds and bonus twin pullout bed. Good restaurant next door and nice area for continental breakfast. The price for a family of 4 was very good for the area. We liked that it had a hot tub. Opportunities for improvement: Some kind of protein (boiled eggs?) and hot cereal offering with breakfast would be great. The carpet, […] TV, bathroom, and hot tub all were dated and a bit worn but I would rather pay less than have fancy fixtures. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"On a Budget vacation"
It was what it was, cost effective, It may have been uncomfortable if it got real hot, the room didn't appear to have A/C. The room had maid service everyday so it was keep tidy.Genuine Expedia guest review
Not worth the money. Outdated and old fashion. Not very clean. Did have easy access to room and the front desk was friendly. I would find a different place to stay if I go back. Location was convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a three star, might be a one star."
Clean but Old and outdate furniture and flooring . Old bathrooms. No elevator's climbing to the third story is a real trip (10% incline). Continenal breakfast was good when you located where it was in the meeting room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Cozy hotel with all critical facilities"
We had a great experience at Sierra Lodge. We stayed in a room with two queen beds and a tiny kitchenette. We stayed for a week , we had everything we needed , microwave, fridge, and tiny kitchen area to make our sandwiches, also free wifi. All the eateries are very near by, walkable, we had awesome burritos from Jalapenos and pizza from Nik n Willies, […] we could store all the excess food in fridge and reheat in microwave, so very convenient. Continental breakfast at lodge was very nice, they had bagels, cereal, bread, coffee, juice and tea, decent. This place was perfect for us. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Perfectly decent hotel for the price. Staff is friendly rooms are large and clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My room smelled terrible, a mix of industrial cleaner and a gym locker. I wasn't expecting much considering what I paid but I should have stayed at the Motel 6 instead. I would have ha a cleaner room. Everything in the room worked, it just smelled bad and everything there was pretty old and run down. I'd avoid this place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"perfect in may"
staff was easy going, the hotel easy access, wide hallways for the skiing crowd, excellent space in our room. can hear noise in hallway and elsewhere though, still great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great value with just the right amenities"
The staff is accommodating without being overbearing. My room and bathroom were large and comfortable with a nice kitchenette although the walls were a little thin, and I could hear everyone in the hall. I really liked the easy access to the covered garage and ski lockers and the common living room with fireplace. I will definitely be coming back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Better than Motel 6. good value for Mammoth. Still a little pricey thoughGenuine Expedia guest review
I realize this town is at 7,000 feet but when you walk in and the only form of air movement is a small fan on a 10 foot extention cord you are in trouble. To make matters worse, their is an apartment complex next door and when a couple desides tonight is a great night to break up and yell, scream and throw things out of the window, you think Hotel management […] might be proactive in calling someone. No fewer than 15 Hotel guest yelled out the open window,(remember no a/c) before police arrived, it makes for a very short night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Affordable and clean"
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is off the main road in and out of Mammoth Lakes. We just stayed one night on our way to another desination. Rooms are dated, but clean. Would recommend if looking for basic, clean accomodations at an affordable price point.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No Stove - what kind of kitchenette has no stove."
No stove. This kitchenette doesnt have a stove. The microwave is out of 1960s. The "continental breakfast" is just coffee and bagels. Dont waste your money here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Sierra Lodge Mammoth Lakes CA"
Great staff and nice place to stay. Breakfast bagles were excellent and good coffee too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
No A/C and uncomfortable beds. Granted it may have been a heat wave in the 70s but we had to sleep with the fan provided on high and the windows open all night. Bed was "extra firm" and flat pillows. The location was great and the staff was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would Not Stay Here Again"
Pros: Helpful, polite staff, close to center of town. Beds & linens were clean. Running water, free wifi, fridge and microwave in room. Low risk of having a bear attack you in the middle of the night. Cons: No elevator, no ground floor rooms, no AC, no coffee maker in the room, and no coffee available in the hotel till 7:30 a.m. Our room faced Travel […] Lodge, which may also have no AC, because all windows were open during this hot June night. Someone across the way had profanity-filled TV on loudly till 2 a.m. By 7 the next morning (Sunday), there was music blasting. If you have any problem carrying your luggage up 2 flights of stairs to the lowest level room, this may not be the place for you. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I have been going to Mammoth for years, and this was the first time I stayed at the Sierra Lodge. It had convenient indoor parking, large comfortable room, and a tasty free breakfast. Old and outdated. No air conditioning on a warm night (a fan). A few bagels and an English muffin or two does not make a "continental breakfast." Stay somewhere else, even if it costs more money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
