This Montreal hotel is next to Longueuil Station and within two kilometers La Ronde Six Flags, Biosphere, and Musee Stewart au Fort d'Ile Sainte-Helene.

free wifi. reasonable price, nice place for a short stay. Nice clean hotel. For a 3 star hotel, would expect a bit more amenities, such as a fridge, more English TV stations, but was a nice place. Will return soon.
The hotel is nothing like it looks in the pictures - rooms are a bit shabby although everything is clean. Also, they put $160CA 'on hold' from our account without telling us. Apparently this was incase we damaged the room, but the money effectively left our account with no explanation. staff are very helpful and friendly,and it's great that the hotel […] is next to a train station, but I think I would have rather stayed in the old town - that area was amazing!! "Decent, No Frills Place to Stay"
I stayed here on a short trip to Montreal and was generally satisfied. The Sandman Hotel is just over the Jacques Cartier Bridge from Montreal, so it's very convenient to the City (but with free parking, unlike most of the hotels in the Montreal proper). My room was clean and relatively quiet and comfortable, if a bit more "no frills" than I would have […] expected from an upscale-looking high-rise hotel. The bilingual staff was very helpful and courteous. The only real downside was that the hotel can be somewhat difficult to get to, given all the confusing, criss-crossing access roads, highways, bridge ramps, etc. in the area where the hotel is located (not helped by quite a bit of road construction during the period of time I was there). Love the room, location to Metro, and service. The road constuction all around it was hard to get around. Was glad we parked there for 2 days once we got in and just used the Metro into the city.

I think the major plus for the Sandman is it's proximity to the subway, allowing easy access to Montreal and surrounding areas. I found the hotel staff to be friendly. I thought the up keep of the Hotel was lacking and could be improved on. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Chose hotel for reasonable price, view of Montreal and location of Metro. Did not want to deal with hassle of driving and parking in Montreal and location is PERFECT for getting into city. 200 feet from Metro station! View of city lights great. Would recommend to anyone.

This hotel sits in the middle of a spaghetti bowl of streets and highways, my directions from Google maps had 9 steps to get to the highway I needed to go south. The highway was viewable from their parking lot. Also, we arrived on a rainy day, after entering the gated parking lot, there was no way to drive under the carport to check in. My husband and I stayed here for one night to celebrate our anniversary in Montreal. We are both terrible city drivers, so I was attracted to this hotel due to the fact that it is right next door to the Longueill Metro station. You literally walk out the front door of the hotel and can enter the station, it was perfect! Hotel offers free parking and […] we used the metro the rest of the day/night. The hotel staff was very friendly, the room was clean, with a slight view of the river and overlooked the St. Jacques-Cartier bridge. We did not use the restaurant. One note, as of Oct 2011 construction is still insane in and around Montreal. It took us quite some time to get on the bridge and then find the hotel. "Great staff and great location"
This was my first trip to Canada and first hotel booking with hotels.com . The staff are great and speak both French and English very well. I cant hear any noise from outside the building which is great if you don't like city noise. Its located right across the street from the metro and with free parking I was able to park and ride the metro all over […] Montreal. The breakfast was great as well. Rented a King suite with view to the river and to Montreal. As expected, the room and the service were both fantastic. We had a medium size suite with a king size bed, clean and comfortable. The view was just beautiful, especially at night when we could see all the night lights from Montreal. Also had breakfast included on the reservation and the food […] was fresh and excellent tasting. "Perfect location for car travellers"
If you travel to Montréal by car, this hotel is perfectly easy out-of-the-city to drive to, right off the autoroute and next to the Métro subway station making getting in and out of downtown easy. Some of the rooms have an amazing view of the city! We had a perfect view from our window of La Ronde Six Flag's amusement park, which was very nice on fireworks […] night! This is worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Room was dirty, smell was disgusting. I can bet the hotel was never remodeled. Be aware of this hotel don’t be fool and believe that this is 3 star hotel. This hotel is great if you want to avoid driving into the city. It's directly next to the subway and only 2 stops away from the Montreal's city center. Rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Although this hotel's surroundings aren't picturesque, we were extremely satisfied with the very reasons we booked it: free parking, short walk to the subway, breakfast included. The room was beautiful and spacious, with light and modern furnishings,including the bathroom. All areas of the hotel were exceptionally well maintained and clean. The Sandman is directly adjacent to a metro station that is two stations from the heart of Montreal. While the hotel surroundings are blah, the subway access is fantastic. The hotel is located across the river to Montreal. The subway is right on the site so it is very convenient to ride the train to the city. The daily subway pass is $8, very reasonable. This great public transportation is a big plus to this hotel. The hotel also provides the free parking, which we were happy to have. Our room had a great view. Room cleanliness was OK. Most TV channels were in French, my son had very limited options. TV in the room was outdated. We enjoyed our stay. The location is wonderful, just across the street from the only Metro station on the opposite side of the river. The staff were helpful and friendly. Two minor complaints: The air conditioner was next to the desk making it too cold for one sitting at the desk while the rest of the room was comfortable. The bed was too firm for my […] wife. The hotel management need to seriously look into updating the whole hotel environment. It somewhat dated and does not appear to be a pleasantly comfortable place. I like its location close to Montreal but has some round about way to reach it.
"Location, Location, Location"
Yes - I did find the location convenient. The Metro is next door and will take you into town in minutes. (even if you have a car parking is expensive in town but free at the hotel and there is lots of traffic on the other side of the bridge). The Metro building has many restaurants (the ubiquitous Tim Horton et al for a quick inexpensive breakfast) […] and other types of shops but does not have a bank (use an ATM or exchange at a bank in town). There are a variety of metro discount tickets available - the info booth rep was very helpful. The hotel is in good condition but far from luxurious. A flat panel TV with better channel selection would add a lot. The in- room internet connection was fine. The room was average size with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was a good size with a nice shower. . There is a pool and Sauna. You could do worse. Read more

The room exceeded expectations. Staff was helpful. The water in the pool was very warm. One drawback is the traffic backup on the highway near the hotel (leading to the LaFontaine tunnel) which was sometimes pretty extreme. This is RIGHT next to the Metro station. Very handy for getting around in Montreal. The room was clean, quiet and very adequate. Clerk at the desk was helpful. There is some construction very close to the hotel so watch the signs to get to the parking lot which is free. Not being that familiar with Montreal, the staff of The Sandman were all very helpful in suggesting not only way to navigate the city but suggestions on what to do and see. Again not being familiar with Montreal it was very convenient to have the Metro right outside the doors of The Sandman. Purchasing Metro passes was the way to go. Hotel was clean […] and staff was courteous. Hotel restaurant breakfast although not included in our stay was tasty and had a good selection to please all of us. Fantastic location - it's a little tricky to find, but free parking once you're there, and next door to the subway station to Montreal. We used the subway to go into Old town Montreal and downtown area. The Montreal Jazz Festival was going on, and we went into that too - there's a Metro stop right in the middle of the festival, and the Metro runs late […] so we could stay for the later concerts and get home. The Longueuil station is in a college area; safe at night. And there's a Tim Horton's and Macdonald's, and assorted other fast food places in it. Totally recommend it! Read more
