This is the fourth or fifth time that I have stayed at this hotel. Reason being the location was convenient, the rates are reasonable and it had a few of the necessary amenities that I needed to make my stay enjoyable. Unfortunately, this last visit really burnt my biscuit. You see every time I go there is something missing. First time it was finding […] out that the restaurant had limited hours and did not provide room service. Another time it was discovering that the pool was out of order due to some issue. This time though it was a combination of things that makes me rethink coming back. Upon arrival there was no "welcome back" from the front desk. I've been there 5x. Come on! That is customer service 101. Get to the room (which is nice with a decent view) only to discover a less than stellar cleaning job, No coffee pot, bath robe and half used toiletries still in the bathroom. Also. the ice machine on my floor was broken, Which is a bummer but the fact that there was note to indicate the fact just made me livid. Common courtesy. Lastly, the restaurant was closed. I presumed it was due to the holiday. Now since I have been here before and I know that the restaurant has off hours I bring several meals with me so I'm not bothered with trekking out to find a meal. But jeez! Send out an email when booking the room that the restaurant is going to be closed for 10+ days!!! Its small things like this combined with past in-fractures that makes me rethink a return visit. I have stayed here many times. Unfortunately, this visit will make me think twice about staying again. The ice maker was broken on floors 15, 16 and 17. And the air conditioner on my room would freeze up and stop working, usually in the middle of the night.

This hotel was great and affordable! The service was fantastic, everyone was very friendly. The hotel is actually located across the river from Montreal, so you are not within walking distance of anything. But it was a safe neighborhood and only a 5 minute drive downtown.

I think this is a solid 3 star hotel. Its location offers convenient access to the city of Montreal and environs. The staff were readily willing to speak English and could answer all questions. The […] staff patiently explained the parking system (Parking was included - in with a ticket, but out with your room key), and also provided a special pass for us to use after we had checked out, when when we told them we would like to leave our car there for the remainder of the day while we went touring.I stay in a lot of nice business hotels and am normally a very tough critic, but am hard pressed to find anything to complain about the Sandman Longeuil. Room was very nice - it rained alot so we walked across the street to the METRO where we had a bite to eat. The front desk printed maps to our next location we were driving to..very helpful staff! Also used the shop, next to the restaurant to purchase some gifts for friends. Had a great stay at the Sandman.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. It is truly located right next to the Metro stop and it was so great to just park the car and not use it til we left Montreal at the end of our stay. I would totally recommend this place to others and would stay here again for sure.

Incredibly friendly staff! We speak very little french and this was the last night before we were leaving the country and wanted to relax and stay in. I needed to order a pizza and after trying to research it through the computer to translate it became too difficult. I asked the lady at the front desk and she was so good! I told her what I wanted and […] she found it on the menu, called it in for me, and made sure they delivered it to my room! So nice. Room was nice and clean with a good view of the city and sunset. It was 15 minutes away from all of downtown attractions. They had a pool but we didn't try it so we can not comment on it. The subway is across the street so nice access to anything you need. The staff was very friendly. However the pictures provided on the website are deceiving. Our room was older and not updated like we saw on the pictures. There was also mold all over the ceiling in the bathroom.

there was hair in our shower. the beds where not even made the next day, the cleaning person just pulled the covers over the bed but did not fix the sheets. And the bathroom door was chipped on the bottom, and the wallpaper was falling off.

I picked the hotel because of its location to subway, very handy. But trying to find your way to the parking lot from the highway and trying to find your way back the highway is a bit of a challenge, in part due to construction on streets.

All in all, an OK hotel. Location for accessing the city via the metro was great if you like using the metro. You are not going to get a better hotel in the city for the same price. Parking was limited but we had no problem. Free parking but sometimes it was difficult to get the gate to raise. Didn't eat at the hotel.

There is not much to see in the immediate area, but it is one short metro ride to the island with La Ronde, Biosphere, etc. It made it a fantastic visit to not have to deal with parking or carrying car keys on roller coasters. Hotel is located across the street from a metro station, so if you plan to use the metro it is a great choice. It is located along the river front, so an added bonus was that we got to watch a fireworks display from the parking lot. This may not seem like a big deal until you are competing with two bus loads of tourists for two elevators - it took 20 minutes to get to my room after getting the key and walking 11 flights of stairs with a stroller was not an option. The family enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed the exercise room. Can't comment on the food quality as we were not able to get served, but the pricing for food and drinks was quite high. Location is very convenient to the metro stop; there is not much else here close by, but the metro is so convenient that downtown is a few minutes away. We arrived at 2am and gentleman at counter said he didn't have enough Canadian Dollars to exchange. We spent about 40 minutes in the morning trying to find a place to exchange our US Dollars since the airport Exchange was closed when we arrived at 1am. TERRIBLE noise, children running everywhere, banging on doors, up and down the hallways and stairways. Pool completely inaccessible due to TONS of kids running, screaming, jumping.
