Clean, although hotel seemed a bit older. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. Staff could have given more info. regarding breakfast hours and checkout time, but overall pleasant stay.

Stayed just one night since we had an event in the Pittsburgh area that was starting very early in the morning. Unfortunately, we did not have time to enjoy the complimentary breakfast but at a glance it looked like the better than standard fare that I've enjoyed at other Holiday Inn's in the past. Pay attention when driving in, the entrance is slightly […] hidden and not much in the way of a sign. I only had two minor complaints: 1) The elevator is quite a ways from the front lobby. 2) One of our two rooms was right next to the interstate. Not a lot of noise from it, but if you are a light sleeper make sure to request a room that does not front on the neighbouring interstate. The hotel is old, but clean. If you have a car, it is convenient to mall and restaurants and airport. The commute to downtown Pittsburgh is congested if you need to travel between 8 and 9 am. Otherwise the drive is not bad. The staff are great and friendly and the breakfast was exactly what you expect.

the staff was friendly, room clean and conveniently located in the hotel. Breakfast buffet was nice however the coffee is too weak you could almost see through it. In addition, after we checked in and walked all the way to our room, both keys did not work...the desk clerk walked two new keys down and they did not work either...very frustrating to not […] be able to finally rest after a 6 hour drive. Finally we had two keys that worked...only on the first night...several other times the keys did not work either...that is very frustrating. Also the bath spout leaked the whole time we were there and the slider door lock was very loose and we didnt feel 100% safe on the ground floor. Although there is no longer a restaurant next door, the van driver can take you to a restaurant of choice. The staff is friendly and efficient. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet, served in a lovely restaurant style atmosphere, serves a variety of breakfast fare from cereal and yogurt to scrambled eggs and bacon.

Staff was friendly. Check in was easy and efficient. Breakfast was much better than I anticipated. My disappointment was from the loud noise coming from the air conditioner that made it difficult to sleep. I was too tired to try and move rooms so I tried to drown it out.

Very convenient location and reasonable price. Rooms were very clean. Outdoor pool and indoor hot tub were decent. Included Breakfast buffet was an added bonus-- they had all the usual continental buffet items plus omelets and pancakes. We would definitely stay there again.

Hotel shuttle took forever to pick me up at the airport when they told me it would be about 20 minutes. It was over an hour late. The driver never got out to help me with luggage or to close the sliding van door which would not close. Then the van broke down on the way to the hotel. It was in terrible shape and was very much over due for replacement. […] The people at the hotel were friendly enough but the room was filthy. I found balls of lint and used Kleenex on the floor under the sink vanity. The closet mirror was broken and shattered and I found a condom wrapper on the floor by the bed. I have stayed at this property before and overlooked some issues before as atypical but now realize this property is poorly maintained and just dirty. I will not stay there again and can't recommend it to anyone. It is inexpensive for a reason. Read more

Hotel needs some updating and carpet cleaning or replacement. Breakfast bar was great with good choices. A little difficult to find and get to due to construction on the roads in that area. Lots of local traffic. Parking is limited especially in the evening.

The hotel staff are efficient and friendly. The complimentary breakfast and breakfast area are great. The pool is nice with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs. Our bathroom had long black hair throughout. That was disgusting. Otherwise, the room was nice...........large and comfortable.

We like to stay at Holiday Inn Express when we stay at a less expensive hotel - this was the worst we have been in. Room smelled musty/damp. Lots of mildew on grout in bathroom. Lumpy pillows (not unusual at Holiday Inn Express). Loud A/C (but it cooled ok after awhile).

Wasn't the greatest place to stay. Booked a Jacuzzi room (mostly because I have never done it) and the jets looked pretty dirty and the plug didn't work. Ended up not using it at all. Waste of money. The room itself wasn't the cleanest. A few stains on the sheets. Other than that though it was an average hotel. Needs a remodel.

Not at all impressed. Wish I would have chosen a better one. The bed was less than comfortable. The jacuzzi was disappointing. The shower temp was out of controll... You either froze or burnt yourself.

Easy to find, friendly staff, EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN. It was hard to adjust the room temperature. :( Toothpaste available for no extra fee. :) The coffee was EXCELLENT. I mean that! The eggs were a bit dry, but if you're cooking, I am eating!

Looking at the last minute for a hotel - got a great deal that included a decent breakfast. Overall, clean, relatively quiet. Staff was extremely friendly in not only executing the basic tasks you'd expect, but went above and beyond (Manager coming around during and after breakfast to chat with guests and offered to share a look at some of the model […] rooms for their upcoming/ongoing renovation). It was clean. To be picky, the worst things I could say about it was their was the slightest mildew smell off the shower curtain, but it wasn't dirty/spotted/visibly out of order. And, the location is sandwhiched between the off-ramp and the highway, but with the windows closed and ventilation system running didn't notice any noise at all. Nice workout room, nice pool and center court area with barbecue grills, but didn't have the weather or the time to take advantage. Would definitely recommend this for people passing through from the airport/west side of town, and only about 10-15 mins outside of downtown (without traffic - but know that this could easily be 30-45+ mins during rush hour). The location of hotel is great. It is near Robinson Mall and has easy access to parkway to Pittsburgh. Breakfast service and hotel staff are great. Room heating system is not so great, either no heat or too hot. Otherwise, a very nice hotel.
