"Best hotel in area"
08/14/15 Jim1951 Buffalo, New York
This hotel is a little hard to find but if you are in the area it's the best place to stop. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good but itcould have been a little better. however there is a Cracker Barrel nearby

"Not a bad place to stay"

The hotel is hidden up off Route 61 in Frackville, near an almost abandoned mall. The hotel is very clean and the staff I personally encountered is friendly. Nice breakfast service. I almost got out without anything negative, until on our last day of a two night stay, this doesn't relate to us, but we were eating breakfast and it was a few minutes before 10 when they stop breakfast service and a women with her child came down and the pancake machine was empty, she inquired if they could make more, they said no as breakfast ends at 10, now bear in mind it is a few minutes before, in my opinion, the staff should have gladly made another batch for this women and her child, who ended up going off to Cracker Barrel next door after complaining quite a bit which disrupted others enjoying their breakfast. An issue that could have been clearly avoided if the Hotel staff upheld their posted hours and I realize they don't want to waste, but the posted time is 10 not 5, 4 or 3 minutes before. Would I stay here again. Yes. Would the women with the child, I would bet not.

"nice place"

it was very clean and comfortable. slept well if a little too long. Got a good hearty breakfast before hitting to road. good location , but a little hard to find once off the exit, look for the little signs. Shares the parking lot with a Cracker Barrel so food is not an issue. Would stay again, but it was little over my leisure travel budget.

"Nice but noisy"

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Frackville for an event in Pottsville. The hotel is nice with a Cracker Barrel restaurant in walking distance. The room amenities are great, with a microwave and mini refrigerator in the room. The room was clean and well kept, except the carpet under the air conditioner was soaking wet, I assume from condensation. The heater/air conditioner was very noisy and goes on and off every 15-20 minutes. It was also difficult to control the room temp, since it is next to the bed, so the person on that side freezes when the AC is on. We were also disturbed by noises from the 2nd floor. Footsteps until late in the night. The breakfast is very good, with a nice selection of foods, not just bagels and toast; they had eggs, sausage, pancakes, fruit, etc. Without the noise, this would be a very nice place to stay.

"Clean, comfortable, and a good night's sleep"

I stopped for one night on my way south recently. I booked in advance through an online service using a "free stay" credit otherwise, when travelling solo, I prefer not to spend HIEx's asking price. Well, maybe that policy needs some review. The facilities and room were in great shape. The staff was helpful without being too overbearing. The breakfast area was stocked nicely. My night's sleep was excellent with no disturbances to speak of. Google maps takes you right to the door so trust your smartphone if you have one. Although, the signage is pretty good. Overall well recommended.

"Hard to find but worth the search"

Consistency is why we stay at Holiday Inns. Clean, good value, friendly staff. No disappointment here. I am not sure why the directional signs are so small and inconspicuous but we had trouble finding the hotel. Walked a few feet to Cracker Barrel for a late snack after checking in. Convenience. Holiday Inn.

"Basic accommodations"

We were here on business.Rooms really need to be updated, and some maintenance. The rooms were still comfortable and clean. The service staff was friendly and helpful. They evenfound a way to deal with 20 of us from four different cities that spoke two different languages. They have a breakfast buffet.this is a good option for hotels in the area.

"Impressed"

Clean, spacious room and friendly service. Hotel is conveniently located off the highway though nearby dining options were a bit limited. Free breakfast included typical options for this type of hotel. No complaints. I would definitely return and recommend to others. It is not a five-star hotel, but for this class of hotel it was excellent.

"Clean, reasonably priced"

Right off the highway, great location. The room was clean and comfortable. It took a little while to check in, as there was a wedding party ahead of me and only one person on duty - but that's what happens when you arrive late at night, I suppose. The room was quiet , and it was nice to have a fridge (no mini-bar, just a fridge for our use). I would stay here again. Especially since everything else in the area seems dingy and seedy, and this place is modern, clean, and nice.

"Great overnight stop while traveling "
09/30/14 prophecygirl Wilmington, North Carolina
Stopped here overnight while traveling up to New England through Pennsylvania. Really enjoyed our stay, kind of a "hidden gem" off the interstate! Room was super clean and quiet, had a great view of the woods outside our window. Not a ton of dinner options outside of Cracker Barrel that are super local, but we checked out Suglia's at the mall (Italian food) and definitely wasn't disappointed. Would absolutely stay here again when we are traveling through the area!
