Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pontoon - Pontoon Beach

Our stay at Holiday Inn Express was great. The staff was very nice. Food was good. The room was very clean and the beds slept very good. We will be staying here again when we come to see the family.

Location was the only thing going for this hotel. The bathroom sink/counter was held up by 2x4's, the bathroom mirror looked like it would fall off the wall any second, peeling wallpaper, rough sheets. It was pretty sad.

We have three kids so I was looking for a hotel that had two queens and a suite with a pull-out couch. I was very surprised, when we checked-in to discover we had been booked in a Kid Suite that had two queen beds and a bunk bed in a side room. It worked out great for our overnight stay!! Breakfast was great with lots of varieties and the pool area […] wasn't too hot (as many usually are). The only cons is that the elevator runs extremely slow and should probably be worked on and the room was a bit warm. There isn't a spa although it advertises one. The toilet flushed very slowly and the bathtub drained slow as well. The refrigerator was not very cold and our food spoiled. The front desk personnel were not very personable. The breakfast did not taste very good. The bed was very uncomfortable.

We checked in late, so we only had a few hours left to spend in the pool. The pool was not heated, and the hot tub was slightly warmer than luke warm, but it was very relaxing and a good way to settle into our first night. The kids loved the miniature suite they had. When we went to check in there was not anybody at the front desk. Had to wait 20 minutes for them to return. First impressions make a difference and this one was not good. Appeared that they only had one person working. This is not enough if a problem arises.

Had a very nice celan and comfortable room. The elevator needs worked on but the stairs worked well. This was our second stay there and will be staying there again. The morning breakfast staff was plesant and kept everything filled up so there was lots of food to choose from.
