We stayed in this hotel during a basketball tournament. Our room looked and smelled clean. The halls of the hotel smelled new. I was told by a relative that lives in Monticello that the hotel had a new wing added and was completely remodeled about 6 months ago. Our team was to stay at a neighboring hotel but the staff was rude and our coach decided […] to stay here instead. The players were excited to see the flat screen televisions to play video games on. Every room had a microwave and refrigerator. We didn't use the pool( because it is outside) but the area looked very nice. It could use a privacy fence as there is a Church across the street. There is a movie theatre directly behind the hotel (within walking distance) and all the resturants, fast food and Wal-Mart were within a few blocks. We won our game and stayed another night in a different room which was just as nice as the first. Breakfast was wonderful. The only complaint was that we felt rushed by housekeeping. Checkout wasn't until 11 and they were knocking at the door by 10 and came back several times before we checked out. Staff was very friendly. Overall a wonderful stay. Read more
