The location near the airport works well. There is a restaurant onsite and plenty of choices within 10 minutes or so. The hotel is not the most 'up-to-date' in terms of flat screen televisions or high performance wireless internet. That said, it was clean and well fitted. Just needed a reasonably priced room with a shuttle to the airport. Got both plus a free breakfast and very courteous, helpful staff.

The roomhad reduced to NO heat. We informed front desk and an extra blanket was provided. NO heat in Rochester NY is equal to NO air conditioning in Key West, Fl.

The best part of the hotel for me was the breakfast! My comforter was stained, the shower curtain was stained, the bath tub was either stained or dirty, when I turned the shower on stuff came out, the heater didn't make for a comfortable temperature all night. The staff was pleasant though.

When I checked in the desk clerk asked me if I wanted a non-smoking room. I explained that the reservation was for a smoking room, but I don't smoke and either kind of room is good. She seemed surprised and explained the non-smoking costs more. So I got the smoking room I reserved. Before giving me my key she asked me to sign a contract that would charge […] me an additional $1.50 for using the room safe. I declined and she said no problem. After getting into my room I couldn't find the ice machine and called the front desk for directions from the room phone. There was no answer. I will not stay at this Quality Inn ever again. I was very pleased with my stay. Easy access to the airport. Staff very courteous! Would highly reccommend!

Awaken second night by shaddowed instruder in room. Intruder quickly exited the room when I sat up. Called by motel staff shortly after intrusion; asked who we were and what we were doing in room. Insisted we only had reservations for 1 night. Claimed they were checking room for cleanliness. I had to go to front desk and showed receipt from hotels.com […] on iphone. Staff agreed to put us back in computer for the night. Next day, Day Clerk admitted to mistake and manager confirmed no one should have been in the room at 2 AM. When asked if I would have to pay for no sleep; I was told they would have to contact hotel.com because that's who we paid. Nothing appears to have been stolen. Uneasy the rest of the stay. Got up multiple times during night to check the locks on the door. Nightmares persist. Read more

This hotel is in an awful location. I was scared to go out to my car. Also, the hotel looks like it hasn't been updated since the 1960's. I would never stay there again.

Carpeting was coming up and dirty, hair in drain of tub, hardware was old, coat rack rusty, noisy, kids running up and down the halls after 11 pm. Lounge closed waiting on liquor license. Continental breakfast low quality

When you enter the Quality Inn Rochester Airport, you immediately notice a musty smell, and this is indicative of the condition of the premises. It looks nice on the surface, but there are underlying problems. The first problem we encountered was the hot and cold running water - first hot, then cold - that would not turn off. The hole in the wall at […] the shower head was a nice touch. Next, the hair dryer provided by the hotel sounded like a 747 about to take off, until it stopped blowing air completely. Although a new dryer was installed that day, the new one tried to eat my hair. Nothing particularly special about the surroundings. Room was clean, albeit with a semi lumpy bed.

The room was OK, towel bars falling off, but it was comfortable. Great Breakfast! The maids were still cleaning rooms late in the evening on the weekend. The pool was very nice, lots of tables and chairs but no umbrellas, it was blistering hot during my stay, nowhere to get out of the sun while my grandson was in the pool.

AC worked great!

We will never stay in this hotel again! Our first room smelled heavily of smoke even though it was supposed to be smoke-free. Then during the middle of the night (2x) someone tried to get in our room using a key card that the desk had given them. This would have opened our door except we had the latch that only let them partially open the door on. After […] that we set the dead-bolt, but someone tried again a few hours later. The next morning we couldn't get back into our room after breakfast because our keycard no longer worked due to what the front desk had done the night before. We had some problems with this hotel. Some the fixed slow and some they did compensate for. The room especially the bathroom smelled of smoke. This physically bothers me. The were slow to fixing. We could not work the air conditioner or fan and it was too hot in the room. They were slow to fix the problem. They used a very lousy excuse to not change […] the sheets in the room. The hot water went out on us Sunday. We missed Church. But they did compensate us for this problem. Finally, they did not have a refrigerator. My wife was not happy. I would like to give this hotel a higher rating. For the price, it was very good. The room was well kept and somewhat modernized considering the hotels that I have stayed at in Rochester for a higher price. My only bone of contention is that the night staff was not helpful at all when I arrived earlier than the check-in time. I arrived in Rochester […] at 4am the morning of 5/16/11. I was scheduled for check-in later that day (3p or 4p - cannot recall their check-in time). The front desk person told me that I would have to wait unitl 7am to check in. When I asked if I could just check in as a regular guest with no reservation, they said yes, but I would have to check out of my room at 11am and re-check in later. Huh? I left and called hotels.com for assistance. They called the hotel directly and managed to talk them into having me check in with no issues. I am thankful to hotels.com for their assistance in this matter, they were great! As far as Quality Inn is concerned, particularly this location on Chili Ave. in Rochester, NY, they need to work on their customer service. The area is super sketchy. Try to avoid being outside at night. The bed was comfy, but not enough blankets. The rooms were dusty, old, run down, broken furniture, drawers were not too clean, wallpaper falling off walls. TV was small and about 50% of the time the channels didn't come in well. The front […] desk staff and the restaurant staff were all very friendly, and they even let me check in a few hours early, but the cleaning people were about as good at being friendly as they were at cleaning the rooms....meaning: not very good. The breakfast was average, and at least the breakfast room in the hotel felt clean, unlike the common areas (there was sticky soda spilled on a couple of the stairways and made my shoes stick to the floors in my room! I was there three days and it was never cleaned). Two floors, no elevator, so if you have heavy luggage request a first floor room. Honestly, I would never, ever stay here again. We were visiting U of R and having the shuttle take us over eliminated the issue of parking and finding the university and the specific building we were looking for. The shuttle was available for drop off and pick up with very little notice on our part. The hotel was way more than what I expected. The room was great the free HBO was great. Complimentary coffee in the lobby and room was great. The morning breakfast was delicious. Very good hotel.

Great for overnight stay when you have an early departure from airport. Great breakfast and it was available at 4:30 am. Quick 3 minute shuttle to airport. Very convenient. Staff was great about helping us make our rental car return arrangements.

I will be back to this hotel! As a woman traveling alone, it was nice to feel safe and secure and be treated so well by the staff. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. It exceeded its AAA rating. AIRPORT NOISE IS OBVIOUS BUT CLOSE AND CONVINIENT TO EVERYTHING. NON SMOKING HAS STRONG SMELL...OF COURSE WHO COULD STOP SMOKERS!!! SOME GUESTS WERE LOUD ESPECIALYY @ 11 PM!!!

The hotel staff was so great and actually were extra nice about me leaving my dogs in the hotel while I had an appt as it was hot out and they could not have survived in my car. THey went out of there way to be accomadating!!

the hotel was fine for a quick stop over in rochester. convenient location and room was acceptable. hallways smelled of cigarette smoke but no smell in room. breakfast was only mediocre.

Hotel was full of unsupervised teens in town for youth conference. We were unable to get to sleep because of the noise till after 4am. and many repeated calls to the desk and finally having to go down to the lobby to complain in person.

All fixtures seemed lower then normal otherwise hotel met my expectation.

This is not a hotel for honeymooners or anybody expecting something special or fancy. It was however, PERFECT for two people who needed one night in a clean bed in between legs of a journey. Free shuttle to and from the airport, free internet service (which came in very handy when we needed car rental assistance), a very nice full hot breakfast included […] with the price and a very comfortable bed got business done, and got us rested, fed and ready to take the next leg of our trip. The hotel staff provided us with EXCELLENT service ... from picking us up to the airport and driving us to Wal-Mart at 11:30 p.m. Even at an odd hour, the staff has smiles on their faces. Also thanks to our cleaning lady who kept our room clean. Keep up the good work.
