Had a weekend meeting for CE and stayed a few extra days for vacation. Hotel parking structure is a bit scary at night; so I planned to be back to hotel by dark. Very nice breakfast buffet. Hotel staff gave me a complimentary breakfast for my birthday(that was a nice surprise).

Nice, clean hotel with very friendly staff. Didn't try the breakfast because Bob Evans was across the road.
Location.
The 13-acre beachfront resort is adjacent to the Gulf of Mexico in strong> St. Pete Beach, Florida, 0.5 mile from Dolphin Village shops, 6.4 miles from Tropicana Field and 7.9 miles from The Pier.
Hotel Features.
The oceanfront Sirata Beach Resort features wrought-iron details and Mediterranean architectural features. Popular with wedding parties and conventions, this resort has 15,000 square feet of interior meeting and event space, plus 10,000 square feet of exterior gardens and beachfront decks. A business center is on site (surcharge), and wireless Internet access is available (surcharge).
Guestrooms.
Sirata Beach Resort accommodations comprise five buildings, some with exterior corridor access. Amenities include refrigerators, coffeemakers and alarm clocks with iPod docking stations. Flat-screen TV comes with cable, pay movies and video games (surcharge). Local calls and weekday newspapers are complimentary. Some guestrooms have balconies or patios and ocean views.

Guests can fish from the beach for mullet, tarpon, and redfish. Dolphins can sometimes be spotted from the beach, and commercial dolphin-watching cruises are available.

Gulf Boulevard runs the length of the Beach Cities, from Clearwater Beach in the north to St. Pete Beach in the south. Along this main drag, visitors can shop, dine, and sleep at a variety of lodging options. Great hotel and super people that work there. This was one of my places to visit on my Bucket List and it did not disappoint. Wiosh I had known the Yankess were in town...it would have been great to see them get swept...

This hotel has a great location being directly on the beach. Hotel is kept up well for the age. View from our room was amazing. The facility had two swimming pools, jacuzzi, entertainment outside which ended at an appropriate time. Food was good. Two negatives that aren't that bad because the location was so great. Bathroom was very small with no place […] to hang your towel. (however, towels were plentiful and that was great.) Safe had a key lock which directed you to go back to the registration desk and put a $50 deposit for the key. They could have mentioned that when we checked in. It's not the Ritz Carlton but it was good enough to enjoy your stay. There is nothing to compare to the beautiful white-sand beach on the Gulf of Mexico and the beach here was very wide and beautiful. Read more
"Siratta Hotel"
This hotel is designed for a family vacation, clean room and bathroom, bed were comfortable, and every room has a fridge. I was somewhat surpised to see a few beverages and fuit in the fridge, apprently they don't clean the fridge after each guest. Location is great, right on the beach.

The hotel and resort area was very nice. It is located directly on the beach with great views. When arriving at the resort I was informed that parking was not included and that there was a deposit required for each day of our stay and when I phoned the resort before arriving that information was not disclosed. I was very upset due to haveing to pay […] even more for an already semi expensive room rate. When arriving to room it was not a beach view or a bay view. I requested a beach view and received a parking lot view. When I went to the front desk to request a beach view I was told that it would require more money. So I asked to moved to a bay view and was told that I would have to call the front desk the next morning to request it and then I would be placed on a waiting list. When I called the next morning I was told that other people had just checked in and that there were no rooms available. I was very disappointed with the customer service and would not reccomend this resort to others and will never return. It was not at all what we expected. Read more

"Cleanliness"
Location is great. However, the bathroom was extremely dirty - toilet paper holder had not been wiped down in months; bathtub was stained and not clean; floor was dirty. The kitchen dishes/utensils were dirty and I was not comfortable using them.

Hotel is in a great location with a lot of things to do at the resort and in the surrounding area. Room was old and could use some upgrading, but definitely would stay there again.

"Great hotel on beach"
Very nice hotel, Location was nice, beaches beautiful, hotel grounds very nice. Kept up nicely as well, They were doing alot of painting when we were there. My only complaint was our cleaning lady was not good. We complained and it was done better. Overall great place to stay and I would go back again.

I bought a a suite with a beach view and balcony and I was on top of a roof and can barely see the ocean
"Overpriced for a mediocre experience"
This hotel is dated and overpriced. I was also charged $8/car per night to park. Ludicrous!

Typical run down beach resort - great beach scene, staff was stuffy in the front office and was not overly helpful, rooms are stuck in the 90's.

"Too much too little"
For the amount paid, the room was small, plumbing fixtures were 40 years old, no microwave, bed mattresses were over used, they charged extra per day to park, extra for cabbana. Not really worth the $$$+ per night.

This was our first stay in St. Petersburg FL. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with the Sirata Resort. The staff at the desk, pools and housekeeping were first rate and always helpful. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom was very small but I wasn't there to hang out in the bathroom anyway so I was not concerned about it. A fine family friendly hotel right on the beach, everything was what i expected in the price my only complaint would be a security guard that kept yelling at my friends and I while we were sitting on my rooms balcony having a conversation. Weird only because there were no complaints and he was allot louder than us.

"neat & clean"
Our room was in the older part which is six stories high and we were on the sixth floor. Our room must have been just done over so it looked very nice and was very clean. Considering that this must not be a real new building the up keep was very good. They had evidently just painted the steps going up and they looked very nice. I stayed at the Sirata Beach Resort on Christmas Eve. While the location of the hotel, access to the beach, and the location of the outside bar were very convenient, the room itself left little to be desired. There was a very distinct smell of Mold in the room, the towels were, well, crusty. No coffee in the room, as advertised, and no ammentities like […] shampoo, soap were in the room. The mold smell was very disturbing, as it made it difficult to sleep, and had a very nagging cough for the next 3-4 days. I thought we were booking a beachfront room in the tower section that is shown in the picture. Instead, we had a beachfront balcony on the second floor of the older section. Most of the rooms are motel-style with outside access. We wish we had reserved the tower/conference section because the other motel-style rooms tend to be noisy. MYy wife and I shared the King suite with our adult son and the accomodations were very roomy and comfortable. We enjoyed the stay very much and would rebook if we are ever again in the St Pete beach area.

"Know what part of the hotel you are in"
This hotel is in a good location, the beach and grounds are great..just be sure to ask where you stay at. The picture shows a great big hotel, but look a little lower and you will see the older buildings. The room was clean and we were generally pleased, but we stayed in a room that was basically like a motel. Not impressed with the room, but pleased […] with the hotel in general. Not sure I would stay in that part of the hotel again. But we had no way of knowing until we got in the room. Loved the deep pool, hot tub and beach. Staff is friendly and helpful. "Kids unsupervised."
I had a wonderful time at your resort the past week. You have some really great staff. Although, there were some issues. : The unsupervised 6yr-olds playing in the jacuzzi bothered me. The one that's clearly labeled that children under 12 need supervision. I felt responsible for the kids while I was the only adult around, and that's the last thing I […] want to do on my vacation is watch someone else's kids. The screaming ~1yr old whose parents were blanching in the jacuzzi was a bit frustrating as well. Also, the towels are very scratchy. I know you probably bleach them, but some type of fabric softener would have been greatly appreciated. Read more
