"Great for travellers"
Only negative thing, that some room are located on third floor without an elevator. So if you in a harry and cannot wait for help you have to carry you suitcases yourself. Hotel located very convenient between Railroad station, Bus station and Cruise terminal with 300 feet walk to vaporetto station. Superb breakfast, very friendly staff. "Great location for cruisers"
Loved this hotel. Was so convenient to piazzaleroma and the cruise ship people mover. Only one bridge to go up and two to go down. We got ther around 9:00am and they already had our room assigned. Previous guests had checked out and it was being cleaned so they said we could wait. We were in the room by 10:00 so we didn't have to leave our bags in the […] lobby -- but even if we had, they were well watched. Use of the printer in the lobby is free which was a surprise. Our room overlooked a lovely garden so it was noisy during the day when the windows were open but closing the windows cut out the noise. Thin walls like most European hotels but I had my sound machine with us so we didn't notice. Would definitely stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pefect location - great staff"
The Best Western Olimpia was the perfect hotel for our 3 days in Venice before a cruise. We took a bus from the airport (20 minutes) to Piazzale Roma and could see the hotel from there. Then a 5-minute walk and we were checking in. Be sure to get a room in the main building since it has the only elevator. The staff was super friendly, the breakfast […] and wifi were included. They gave us a map of Venice and great recommendations for the vaporetti (water buses), restaurants and shopping. I would definately stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for Cruise Ship Passengers!"
My Wife and I stayed at the Olimpia for one night prior to sailing on the Carnival Legend; we had a perfect experience. The hotel staff was efficient, helpful, and friendly and the hotel itself was not only perfect for our needs but incredibly close to the port and people mover but also the Piazzole Roma to grab a water-bus to St. Mark's Square. The […] Hotel provided a (FREE) terrific breakfast complete with real china settings, silverware, tablecloths, and a coffee waiter. The Olimpia cannot be beat!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful room, quaint hotel, close to transportat"
Stayed extra nights before a cruise and very glad we did. The hotel is right near the bus loop and very easy to get to. Good location to explore Venice from. The room was beautiful and had a view of the canal. Breakfast was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel exceeded our expectations.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Darling Hotel, Walkable from Train Station"
This is a wonderful small hotel that you can walk to from the train station. That was our main reason for choosing it. However, there are many other things to recommend it. The hotel has a main building and a second building in the back, separated by a beautiful garden area with grass, flowers, and outdoor seating. Our room was in the back building […] overlooking the garden. It had lovely painted furniture with flower motifs and a murano glass chandelier. It was quite comfortable in every respect. The hotel serves a nice breakfast which you can eat in the breakfast room or out on the patio. There is a small lobby/bar area as well. The hotel fronts on a canal and there are several bars/restaurants in the immediate area. This is not a good choice for people with mobility issues because stairs, a very deep and small tub/shower etc. Also, you have to cross a couple of bridges to get to the hotel and that can be a problem if you are hauling a lot of luggage. The hotel is not in the center of Venice, but it is a short walk to the vaporetto water bus stop which can take you anywhere, and/or a delightful 15 minute walk to San Marco. "This is the hotel to stay in, in Venice"
The location was great and the service was excellent from the front desk to the Breakfast attendants. The room was very comfortable. I stayed at 4 different hotels in 4 different cities in Italy and wished that they all were as good as this one.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Value and Style at the Transport Hub"
This was our second stay at the Olimpia. It has style, good service and value. Because we were returning a car and had a great deal of luggage from a month of travel, we chose to stay close to the Piazza Roma transport hub which provides easy access to all of Venice on the ACTV Vapporetti System. You may spend a bit of extra time on them, but it is […] a unique experience. We were happy to see that the hotel maintained the level of quality that we first found there 10 years ago. "staying in Venice"
Extremely convenient hotel. Our room was very large and even had a sitting room. Hotel staff was excellent and very friendly. The location was ideal for getting around Venice. "Beautiful room, nice staff, convenient location."
This is a great hotel in a very convenient location. Commute to the airport/train station takes a 5-to-10-minute walk. Main touristic attractions are 30 to 40 minutes away by walking, and much less if you choose to take the vaporetto (2 minutes away). "We really enjoyed our stay!!"
The Olympia is very well situated! Really a 5 minute walk from the piazza le Roma and the train station. The hotel is well kept, the staff is friendly and helpful and we had a good sized, clean and pleasant room especially by European standards. We would definitely stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location! We took a local city bus at airport to city square drop-off point, and hotel was right there! We walked to it! And just a short, one-block walk to the "People Mover" that took us to the cruise ship. And their buffet breakfast was a wonderful, delicious and a very large selection surprise that even had a waiter to refill coffee, water, […] etc... The bathroom was also spacious. Only draw-back was they had two twin beds pushed together to make a king but they should tie bed legs together as beds slide apart on wood floors! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This hotel was located very close to both the train station and the bus terminal, making connections easy. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful, the room was clean and the beds nice. "Great location, watch out fo the steps"
This was a very fine hotel of its class. The staffs' English was very good, and they were very helpful. My room was in an annex to the hotel which did not have an elevator, but this was no problem for me, and the bellman helped bring my bags up stairs. The breakfast was a high point because they had scrambled eggs and a European style bacon on the menu. […] The location is only a short walk from the St. Lucia train station, and can be easily walked to. I wanted to visit the Church of St. Nicolas on the island of Lido. Looking at the map, it seemed that it would be impossible without a car. When I asked at the desk, they were able to give clear instructions on how to take the waterbus over to the island. The cab ride to the church was only 7.80 euros. It was fixed. There is a 20 euro 12-hour pass for the waterbus, and a person may want to consider that if one is moving around Venice. Finally, the downer was the canal bridge to the east of the train station. It does not have a ramp structure, and even though the steps are only 4-5 inches high, one has to carry one's bags up the bridge. Going down, with the small steps is no problem. Watch out for the folks who want to "help" you with your bags. They don't accept "no" easily. If they carry your bag, expect to be hounded by them for a tip. These guys aren't motivated out of charity to help the stranger. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great price for charming hotel"
This hotel offers old world charm. Lovely decor, relatively large guest rooms, including bathroom (usually they are very small in Italy) very nice breakfast, great service, super location close to bus/train /water taxi terminals. "Great location for pre/post cruise."
This was a perfect hotel for our post cruise overnight stay. Located right across the canal from the bus station, there is only one easy bridge to cross with bags taking about 5 minutes to walk. After getting off the ship we were able to check in and drop our bags, then spent the day exploring Venice. Returning late afternoon, our bags were in our room. […] Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We were able to make our 6:45am flight by leaving the hotel at 4:40am, walking to the bus station to take the 5am ATVO airport express bus to the Marco Polo Venice airport. "Clean, comfortable, close to port and bus/train"
This hotel is just one street/canal from the bus station, very close to the train station and cruise ships, yet you still feel like you are part of old Venice. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and well maintained. The breakfest buffet (included in our stay) was very nice. The room we had, on the top floor, was very small […] with a low ceiling - but was quite lovely and charming with a very nice modern bath. However, if you are over six foot tall you might have trouble with the ceiling height esp. in the shower. The elevator is TINY. never seen one so small, not much bigger than a large dumbwaiter. "Great hotel, on the outskirts of Venice old city"
We arrived in Venice on a Princess cruise ship, and had booked one night at Hotel Olympia. The hotel is accessible by taxi from the cruise terminal. We were early for check in so left our bags, with the hotel, while we explored Venice. On our return to the hotel, several hours later, the bags had been taken to the room, which was beautifully decorated […] and appointed. The bathroom, again clean and modern. The room was a bit small, but clean and the bed warm, soft and comfortable. We were given a complimentary glass of proseco. We were able to walk to St Marks square, from the hotel, and explore all of Venice from it. The hotel has a very nice garden, which the guests can sit in while enjoying a drink and a snack.
