Continental Hotel - Frankfurt

Was pretty happy with this hotel overall. Good price for what you get. It was fairly noisy from the traffic. I'd ask for a back room. Staff friendly. Was a nice 20min walk to the main shipping area but only a 5 min walk to resturants.

The hotel was 2 minutes from the train station. About 5 minutes walk from all types of good restaurants. Easy to find. Great customer service. Great price. Only down side was same elevator. But the stairs were wider so walking up the stairs was no a problem. Room was spacious clean n great. A+.

I liked the hotel itself and the breakfasts, but you should think of some kind of sound-proof windows in the rooms facing the Bahnhof. It was rather difficut to sleep because of cars.

Just what we needed! A clean, comfortable, affordable hotel right next to the train station so we could catch a flight from Frankfurt International in the morning. It's right by the train station, so there was noise outside and it wouldn't be the best choice for light sleepers, but perfect for us.

Aref made sure I had fresh coffee and was always friendly. David also was an added bonus because he gave wonderful advice concerning discounted transportation to Berlin. He also helped with booking a hotel in Berlin that was also inexpensive. There is the potential for much noise from outside the hotel (trams, traffic, sirens) depending on which rooms you stay in. Because my stay was fairly long (3 weeks) I was placed on the 5th floor in a room away from the street side so that my room was very quiet. The only noise I got was from other guests and that was minimal. Unfortunately the period […] I was there was in August and it was very hot; the hotel has no air conditioning and no fans so there were many a night when I was sweating in my bed. The staff at this hotel was great to me. I originally booked this hotel to be near the main train station in order to get to the airport the following morning. I wanted a room with an IN room safe, which their description lists as including. Upon going to the room (very small but clean) I saw there was no safe. The Continental is a really good value and so close to the Bahnhof. This is an ideal hotel to stay in if you are traveling by train. If you are sensitive to street sounds, you may need to ask for an inside room. WiFi (WLAN) is available for a small fee but the speed is very slow.

A very fine place to stay. But don't eat breakfast (it costs 8 Euro and is hardly worth that. They charge 5 Euro for Internet that is the worst connection I have encountered during my travels.

I highly recommen this Hotel, because, it is located one block from the main Train Station down town Frankfurt. You can take the train from the Air Port for 8 Euro and the ticked is good on all public transportation in and around Frankfurt un til midnight that day. Also Green Line Tours is located next door.

We picked the hotel because it was close to the train station, but it turns out it was a bit too close. We had a room overlooking the street and the confluence of three cable car lines. You could hear them rumbling all night long. Maybe an inside room would have been better. Other than that, it was more than adequate and the price was great.

This is a perfect location; just a 150 yards to the main train station which is also a major hub for the subway system. A few minutes U-line to the Frankfurt Mess; about 5 minutes to Hauptewache (Frankfurt Center) pedestiran areas with the tourist destination of Romer very close by as are several museums and cathdrals. I stayed the second time. The hotel is across the street from the Hauptbahnhof. The main pedestrian zone is in walking distance. The room was clean with bathroom and shower. The room is small and is an outdated tv but I do not watch tv so it does not matter.

This is a very comfortable hotel. The place looks great and the room was better than I could have hoped for. The bathroom was spacious enough and there was even a small lounge area in the room. Loved it. Even the windows opened wich was fantastic.

This is a well maintained older hotel. The location which is right across the street from the central train station is very convenient for getting around. The rooms are quite large and well maintained. The street the hotel is on gets a lot of traffic, but the hotel has shutters on the windows that can be closed to keep out the noise. If you're in need of a hotel close to the DB station then the Continental Hotel is perfect. The only drawback is that the tram outside is incredibly noisy. It will wake you up numerous times during the night so just be prepared. Needless to say it wasn't my best night's sleep but it was for our last night and it served it's purpose.

A convenient and inexpensive choice for a layover in Frankfurt. The Airport is a twenty minute ride on the underground. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. Proximity to busy train station is a bit noisy however.

Hotel is directly across from main train station..most convenient...but a 20 minute taxi ride to the airport. Warning: rooms are miniscule....had to side-step to walk around the bed. I have stayed at this hotel before. It is clean, and a stone's throw from the Hauptbahnhof and O'Reilly's Pub (strongbow on tap). No-frills, and the neighborhood is what you'd expect around a train station. Cheap, clean and secure. I will stay there again, as the money saved can be spent at O'Reilly's.

A nice hotel with a great location near the main train station. A few good restaurants in the immediate area and a very good view of the sky line if you so happen to get that side. The area around the train station is a little rough but overall a good hotel.
