Hotel very clean. Doors in rooms a little scratched but otherwise good. There was no shampoo but there was soap in dispensers - I liked that because I think it is better for the environment than wasting tons of little bottles with shower gel.

We did not know that this hotel was right across the main train station in Frankfurt. We could not sleep most nights because of the noise of traffic and emergency vehicles round the clock. Otherwise staff and hotel is good. No hotel parking if you are driving. Street parking is a headache during weekdays.

Check in very smooth. Got a great room on the fifth floor with a window in the bathroom, so cross ventillation in the heat was very good. As always the beds are very comfortable and the room was spotless. We needed some ice for medicine we were carrying and the lady in the breakfast room got us some. We love this hotel because it is so convenient. We […] hop on the train from the airport, come up to the top level of the haupbahnhof, walk out the far door, cross the street and we're there. In the train station we had a donner durham... like a donner sandwich but in a tortilla like a big burrito with great donner meat off the rotisserie with lots of salad and cabbage. Very filling and very reasonable. Continental is an inexpensive great place to stay right in the city. Take an easy walk down to the river about two blocks away. Very peaceful. Read more

No A/C in this hotel. Should have been plainly disclosed by hotels.com. I am willing to sacrifice some size, comfort and other equities for prime location. But no A/C is a deal breaker.

Would recommend this Hotel for the price that I paid. The rooms don't have a/c but there are balconies with large doors that open and the staff was a lot mor friendly than the other hotel i stayed in during this trip.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and overall thought the room size, cleanliness, condition and shower in the single I stayed in were all more than adequate for my needs as a solo traveler. The location by the cental train station is very convenient. Please note that the hotel does not have air conditioned rooms. I believe this should be standard in cases where they have no AC. The first night I stayed at the hotel it was unseasonably warm and I was unable to obtain a fan from the hotel front desk. It made for an unpleasant nights sleep. The front desk atttendent was very sypathetic about the situation and apologized. I was provided a fan for the remaining 2 nights of my stay. Overall, I liked the hotel and would stay there again but would make sure I was able to secure a fan from the front desk upon check in if I stayed there during the summer. Read more

The continental is steps from the train station. Check in is smooth and easy. Beds are very comfortable and you feel right in the heart of the city. At the great rate we got, you can't expect air conditioning. So open up the windows/keep the curtains closed if the sun is shining in the window and enjoy the center of the city.

Located just seconds outside of the Frankfurt train station, the Continental is situated ideally to reach all the downtown locations. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. However, while showering, the hot water turned cold within a minute or two and this was at 5 a.m.

perfect for an overnight, especially if one wants to take a train. The major surprise was a recommendation of a restaurant in the adjacent Hotel National. It is an Italian restaurant. The food and service were excellent. The Hotel Continental is good value.

small rooms . i hardly fit in the shower . one pellow only and when asked for another they said ; dont have hotel is full; Breakfast was good . No AC ,no vent , you ask the reception for fan if any left .

The rooms are showing their age and are rather depressing. Noise from the street and the trams can be a problem at night particularly for the rooms facing directly onto the station. Recently I have been traveling a lot thus staying in many hotels. I would say this is probably one of the worst I have stayed in. Firstly the staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. I hade paid 9 euros for the internet and was given a receipt with the user name and password and the front desk guy made me sign a copy with my room number and name on the […] back. When I came to check out they told me I hadn't paid for the internet after arguing with them they said well you should always ask for a receipt, which I replied I do have one but he said no thats not it. Then he said I should apologise for not asking for a receipt and this time he would let it slide! I was shocked because im 100% i paid and its their responsibility to write keep note of who pays for internet. Then what annoyed me is he said I should apologize for my mistake. My room was ok nothing special old fashion furniture, but couldn't sleep due to the noise outside really its ridiculous I think its only quite from 2-4 am after that back to fully noise! I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all! Stay somewhere else trust me I have paid less and had better service and quality in Frankfurt! Never again!!! Read more

Good location, paid internet but it actually connects. Our room had an air conditioner that stayed on for 15 minutes at a time and was broken for a whole day. The staff is generally polite. I recently sent a work crew from our company to this hotel for the first time. They all said it was a good comfortable hotel with the bonus of being close to the Irish Bar and station. The only negative point was having to walk through the red light area to get to work. We would use again.

The location is absolutely convenient. The rates are really cheap, room well maintained, front desk staff and service staff very helpful. Minus points relate to the noise and tremor when the trams roll nearby the hotel and perhaps lack of air conditioner in summer. Value for money is great.
