The hotel itself was very nice and clean. The pool area was really nice. I especially like the breakfast (obvious included in the price.) However, my biggest complaint is that we didn't sleep very well. The surrounding people were up until all hours of the night (I.e. 2 a.m.) slamming doors. "Nice hotel. Beds too soft"
We came in for the State Bowling Tournament and it was in a great location. Close to many places to eat and shop. Room want very nice. Granite countertops in the bathroom, very nice. The Jacuzzi drove us crazy the plug was so hard to get it to hold water and if you bumped it you might not ever get it back in. The desk person who checked us in was so nice but when we checked out and I told a different desk person about the tub she just didn't really seem to care when I told her about the Jacuzzi. We were very impressed with the hotel, as a whole. We had the whirlpool suite and it was MUCH nicer than what was pictured on the internet. Our room was okay. The pillows are smaller than most hotels, but the beds were comfortable. Didn't like the hairdryer had to hand on the back of the bathroom door. I was extremely disappointed with all aspects of my stay. I find it completely unacceptable that the hotel was unable to provide a blanket/comforter for the pull out bed. I was provided an extremely thin, scratchy, foam like blanket for my children to sleep with. I was told that I could have an empty duvet cover, but that was all that they had. After […] going down at 11:00 p.m. and complaining after already calling and requesting a blanket I never received a call back. After informing the lady at the front desk that I would be complaining the next day, I received a blanket at 11:15 p.m. The breakfast was not impressive at all and the pool was very disappointing as well. This included a 6:30 wakeup call that we did not request (not good with two small kids on the day we were heading to Michigan Adventure). And when we came back at 9 pm our room had not been cleaned. Our housekeepers try to offer a friendly touch to let our guests know we care that they are satisfied with the service on their rooms so hopefully you will expect them on a future stay. While the pool does not have a life guard on duty it is routinely patrolled by the staff during business hours and when the desk staff is preparing to leave for the day they need to shut the pool. I am very sorry about this inconvenience. As you noted the fitness room at our hotel is small and in need of updating but I have wonderful news on that topic. We are, in fact, scheduled to begin a major renovation shortly! We will be moving and expanding our fitness area and adding new cardio and weight training equipment. This was the third time we have stayed here. Seems to be the place for hockey families also just wish the parents and kids had manners and were quiet at nite.
