We stayed at Sheraton Montevideo for the first time, it was all right, rooms were clean and spacious. The only minus comes from breakfast, which was not included in the room price.

Muito boa. Hotel muito limpo, com funcionários sempre prontos a nos atender. Mesmo com a presença de um grupo famoso, o hotel não ficou tumultuado, apenas com barreiras na entrada para conter as fãs aglomeradas na rua. Apesar de já estar ciente, acho que cobrar pelo uso da internet é ridículo, poderia fazer parte da diária. O que me surpreendeu foi o restaurante, muito fraco, no café e na jantar. Estive no Sheraton de Buenos Aires e lá a parte de restaurante era ótima.

O hotel cobra o serviço de internet por hora continua. Se vc compar 4 horas tem que usá-las sem interrupção. Compro 4 horas, uso somente 15 minutos e no dia seguinte tenho que comprar de novo. Isto é medieval, não combina com o serviço de internet oferecido por outros hotéis do Uruguay.

No geral, o hotel é bom! Mas não registraram na minha entrada que o café da manhã estava incluso na tarifa, de forma que fui cobrada por 2 dias! O quarto e o banheiro são bons, mas a cama do terceiro hospede péssima! Não fui informada que o quaro triplo se restringia a uma simples cama de monta! Fora isso, os cobertores estavm sujos e com furos! No nosso quarto tivemos até goteira e vazamento da banheira. O hotel não dispoe de wi-fi gratuíto e cada quarto em direito a 30 min diarios de acesso nos computadores do lobby, uma coisa absurda para os valores pagos pela diária! Os cartões de acesso aos quartos desmagnetizaram e foi preciso mais de 20 min para resolverem a situação. O staff é simpático e procurou solucionar os inconvenientes! Acho que é possível se hospedar em outros hoteis com confoto semelhante e tarifas mais acessíveis!

Excelente ubicacion, lindas vistas, buena atencion del personal, muy buen desayuno, acceso directo al shoping para huespedes del hotel, parking gratis, muy buen gimnasio, piscina cubierta y jacuzzi. No entiendo porque se cobra el wi fi Usd 15 por dia y muy caro el frigobar de la habitacion.

sigue siendo un gran hotel super bien ubicado, me he alojado por 10 años seguidos desde que se inauguró, sin embargo los servicios y la infrastructura han decaído bastante, un pequeño ejemplo es el desayuno en donde no hay mas jugos de frutas frescos y el trato del personal allí no está acorde con la categoría del hotel. Si bien la infrastructura es buena el mobiliario se nota muy gastado, puertas en mal estado, los armarios del gimnasio, etc. etc.

La estancia me pareció muy placentera. Viaje con mi esposa y mi hijo de 4 años. Muy cordiales los empleados del hotel. Destaco la limpieza de la habitación y cuidado permante por parte del personal. Satisfecho. El barrio donmde se encuentra enclavado es muy atractivo, de casas bajas, y elegantes.

Fue buena. No me parece correcto que un hotel como este no disponga de internet y wifi libre en todo el hotel.Hoy para el hombre de negocios internet es indispensable.~El precio de 15$ al dia me parece excesivo y deveria ser cero. Aumenten unos centimos el precio de la habitación y solucionan ese problema. Yo no suelo a ir a hoteles que nos disponga de internet libre.

The property is located in a nice residential area and attached to a shopping mall so the convenience factor cannot be beaten. My cousin and I stayed here for 2 days a few years back during a weekend getaway from our Buenos Aires sojourn. Staff were all friendly and very welcoming and had given me and my cousin the low down on places to visit and restaurants to try in Montevideo. Room was your basic Sheraton offerings but the beds were very comfortable. Would return again the next time I visit Montevideo. Would recommend this property to my family and friends.

The Sheraton Hotel has an excellent location and is attached to an upscale mall with grocery store and many eateries. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable with very nice sheets and bedding. They have an excellent gym and I love the swimming pool. Sauna & steam room in locker rooms. Their WiFi is excellent! I cannot say this about most hotels! The breakfast is way above average with many choices on a buffet and eggs cooked to order. They have the best club sandwich that I have ever had. The bar area is very comfortable and welcoming. The service is what really sets it apart. Impeccable employees! In ALL Departments! They are very professional and efficient, but have a sense of humor. They are eager to assist guests and anticipate their needs. Excellent security. I am very critical of hotels and have very high standards, but I cannot find any problems or things to complain about here. I always look forward to my stays several times per month.

About a couple of years ago, I wrote a rather critical review of the Montevideo Sheraton, but I decided to go back last April. I used Starwood points and got an upgrade to club floor, which was great, free Internet, river view, the works! The GM e-mailed me, even though he was away and all the people I called or e-mailed were great, particularly Ms. Tara Cisneros O'Connor, who got me the perks mentioned above. So, I expect to go back next week, but, unfortunately, I don't have any points and will have to reach for my wallet. LOL!!! However, I hope I'll get an upgrade to a "club floor", which makes all the difference at this hotel!

I stayed here 3 nights on business. I chose the hotel based off of proximity to mall/restaurants and to earn points. However, after my one experience, I think I'll try somewhere else next time. But, first the good: the restaurant staff and bell boys were friendly and pretty attentive, hotel is situated in a safe area, and location is walking distance to restaurants, shops and beach. However, as others mentioned, this hotel is getting to be a bit tired and isn't being maintained well. Also, while some of the staff at the front desk are nice and sincere, there are others that are pretty aloof. The thing that really upset me though was that I had placed a "do not disturb" sign on my door and even told someone at the front desk that I wanted to decline room cleaning service. Despite this, housekeeping came into my room and touched everything of mine that was not in my luggage, including my toothbrush. This was not just your ordinary mid-week cleaning job, too, this was a deep clean service they did just for me (yippee!). I specifically do not like housekeeping to come into my room b/c I don't want them touching things (i.e. toothbrush) while they are cleaning very dirty things (i.e. toilet). I got really sick on a trip due to bad housekeeping practices so I try to limit this. Also, when I'm traveling alone, I don't feel as safe in a place where it's common practice for staff to ignore posted signs like this.

Centrally located near shopping, restaurants, and a nice beach area. Rooms are a little old and can be noisy. The rooms do not have coffee/tea pots in them. If you want morning coffee or tea, the restaraunt or club lounge will have to do.

Stayed for one night as our outbound flight was cancelled and what a pleasant visit ! As always the Sheraton has everything you need, comfortable rooms with all the amenities required and wonderful staff! Quick review this time but a very pleasant hotel :) PS. The hotel is located just above a wonderful shopping mall !

I regularly use this hotel when I am in Mintevideo. This trip I did the same, but can't help but feel the decor, furnishings etc could do with a bit of renovation. It is a USD 300 per night place, and I am not sure it has kept up the modern trends in other USD 300 per night hotels. However the reception team are very professional and extremely helpful.

The hotel is located 100 metres away from the promenade in a quiet part of Montevideo. Round the corner there is a huge shopping mall. I was in a room on a high floor (the club lounge rooms), superior rooms, so the standards are a bit better on those floors, and you are entitled to use the Club Lounge for free evening nibbles. The room was nice and spacious but the bathroom was a bit dated. I have mixed feelings about this hotel, because it tells me of a glory of former days, but communal areas are getting a bit tired and in need of some refurbishment. The positives: Good size rooms, at least the Club Lounge ones Good location, connection to the biggest shopping mall through the 3rd floor The negatives: Check in/out not very well organised. Maximum capacity 4 clerks and in peak times be prepared to wait. Restaurant: quality of the food does not meet the standards of a 4 stars hotel. Dinner time quality is better that the lunch time. Probably different cheffs?, in any case if they want to compete with the food court of the mall they need to get their act together. Club Lounge is not a very good value for money, even if they include free nibbles. To summarize the hotel cover the modern business needs of the international traveller, but they have some shortfalls with the staff training in order to process an efficient check in and out. Finally I would like to add that when I sent back with pasta dish back to the kitchen because it was literally stone cold, it came back just over a minute later, after been placed into the microwave. NO apologises were offered or a replacement. Whoever was in charge of that kitchen and believes is acceptable to serve cold food re-heated in a microwave deserves a visit from Gordom Ramsay ‘s kitchen hell.

My husband and I got married in Uruguay and we happened to land in MVD on our 10 year anniversary. So, we shipped the kids to the in-law's house and we checked in on a windy friday night. The front desk staff was shockingly friendly! What a pleasant surprise considering I was expecting to be crudely judged on our poor, homeless-like appearance (after traveling all night with kids, no sleep for almost 48 hours and not having my toiletries/makeup bags due to airline theft). Alvaro and Alejandro were fantastic! They even provided us with an upgrade to an executive floor with view of the river. We were able to participate in the tail end of their happy hour. My gosh, what a great feeling it was to get a glass of bubbly after showering! I wish I could find out the name of their white bubbly wine (semi-brut?)... it was delicious! The next morning got a great workout overlooking the river, while reminiscing of the good times spent in the pool/hot tub area 10 years before as newlyweds. The buffet breakfast was great too... good selection of items. I did take a star away since I right away notice the actual appearance of the hotel is a bit run down... but the service and overall experience was superb. I think we are going to make this a tradition since we seem to travel to MVD around our anniversary.
