Herndon and Reston, DC suburbs located on the western fringes, are magnets for trade and commerce. Both are home to major corporations, such as AOL and Volkswagen of America. Where Herndon is a charming, small town with a historic train depot, Reston is gleaming, mini metropolis. The Reston Town Center is a master-planned downtown with office towers, shopping gallerias, and wide boulevards.

We got a great deal on our stay of 3 days. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The location was great because it was in close proximity to the highway as well as to stores and restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay at the SpringHill Suites. The only one thing that was a little uncomfortable was the cold air from outside that came through the top of heater/air conditioner unit, we put a blanket over it and that help stop the cold air from outside from coming in. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and will recommend this hotel!

The hotel is clean. The staff is nice. The breakfest was very good. Located in a good area with ease to highway. Driving to downtown DC is about 1/2 hour with little traffic when we were there. Also maybe because we didn't get on the road till after 9am. Plenty of eating places within driving distance. I will definetly go back to this hotel if I visit DC again.

I was very pleasantly surprized. The room was beautiful. Very large & had everything I could ever want in a hotel(microwave, fridge, coffee maker, iron/board, blow dryer). Two large flat screen Tv's in the room, seperate sitting area with sofa bed. Indoor pool/hot tub open til 10PM. Extremely comfortable King sized bed. Free breakfast, free parking. Close to the main highway(66). If you drive to the Vienna subway station, it's about a 35 minute ride into DC by metro. Just hop on the Orange & it brings you ight to the action of smithsonian/capital without having to search for a parking space & no stressful driving. Hotel was very clean & safe & the front desk was always helpful & friendly (free chocolate chip cookies!!!). For the price, it was an extraordinary hotel!

We were very pleased with our stay at the SpringHill Suites. The Herndon location is a good place to stay while touring No. Virginia. We rented a car at the airport and took day trips to historic areas including Gettysburg and Harper's Ferry. The complimentary self-serve breakfast included eggs and do-it-yourself waffles as well as a variety of cold breakfast items.

The hotel was easy to find. The staff was very friendly. They did not mind the extra kids(nieces)we had with us for our stay. Although the pool was smaller than what we expected, the hot tub was big! They had a very nice breakfast buffet. We found the beds to be pretty comfortable, however, the pillows were not at all. I would bring your own pillows from home if possible. Overall, it was a decent clean hotel stay. Would recommend it!

Now if we could just have parents keep their children from running everywhere and slamming doors , all hotels would be much nicer.

The hotel was difficult to find and we had a hard time getting directions at 2 in the morning when our flight got in. The queen sized beds were not true queen size, but more of a full size and too squishy. However, it met our needs of having a good breakfast and a sofabed. It was also a reasonable drive to Washington DC.

Great stay. Some hotels are hit or miss, but the SpringHill Suites never dissappoint. The room was adequate in size for my family of four. The indoor pool was a fun time with the kids. Lots of restaurants and attractions nearby. We took the Metro into DC and went to the ZOO which is one of the best ZOOs I've ever been to. Back to the room, all the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was far more than just a continental breakfast. It had gormet coffee, fresh pastrys, scrambled eggs, canadian bacon, toast, english muffins. cerials, fruit, yogurt, waffle maker, milk and fresh juices. We plan on visiting the area real soon in the future and will definately stay there again.

On a 3 day stay, room did not get made up on second morning. Was told there was a privacy tag left on our door, but no such tag was ever left. Asked for extra towels, they sent them to the wrong room. Breakfast is above average. Lifeguards at pool are indifferent to anything happening. One child almost drowned while lifeguard looked on without moving or saying anything.

The Springhill Suites is a fairly decent hotel. The rooms were great for a larger family with a pull-out couch and 2 beds. There is also a mini-fridge/ sink area. Most rooms also had 2 televisions from what we could see (for some reason they put us in a handicap accessible room which changed the layout of the room and in doing so there was only 1 television). The continental breakfast was also good with quite a few choices. We did find ourselves wishing they had more than 1 washer & dryer in the hotel. We could never wash a load of laundry at night because people were lined up waiting for a turn. The hotel would be smart to add additional washer/dryer on another floor.
