The stay was good. Only one problem my wife and I had gone to sleep for the nite and another guest try to open the door to our room thanks to the security door lash the door was not able to open . The next mornig we were told it was a computer error.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was nice. Everything about this hotel was great but I didn't like the breakfast the lines were to long not much to choose from. There was also broken equipment in the weight room. I enjoyed the surrounding area it had everything you needed as far as shopping. I will return soon.

I normally stay at Holiday Inn Exp and this was my first time at a Wingate and I liked it equally as well if not a little better. Comparing the two, rates were the same, Wingate beds were a little better and the sheets were softer. The bathrooms were the same. Pool and spa area were the same. Very clean room--comfortable beds (except that the bottom sheet didn't fit well. We had an upgraded king room for the same price as a king and were very pleased; thought it was a good deal from Expedia. Our only concern was that the breakfast was not great: powdered eggs, etc. However, all in all, we would definitely go back!

The room was large and spacious. It had a lot of nice amenties such as in room safe and refrigerator. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and the three nights I stayed I woke up with back and neck pain. The bathroom was decent but with no venting the shower steam is causing the wallpaper to pull off. There were also small ants in bathroom along the […] tub line. The breakfast service was normal as one would expect...nothing fancy or out of this world but satisfactory. The whirlpool was broken the entire time of our visit even though I called twice to check if it was working-which I was told it was. The pool was nice and heated but the pool room was falling apart and may have had mold on the walls. The hotel was nicely located and easy to get on the main highway or Interstate. Just be warned, traffic in this area is killer and may take time getting from one place to another. Read more

I wanted this hotel for the pool for swimming, but it was down. So that was disappointing. This is a nice hotel, but it's a bit overpriced. It's right off of the freeway, and it needs an update. The bed was so so. The pillows were mushy and not comfortable at all. The breakfast was good.

There was toothpaste on the back of the bathroom door. The mirror had water marks as if someone had shook their wet hair in front of it. The rear exit was littered with cigarette butts. We contacted the hotel before booking with you about reservations, cost and pool. We were NOT informed on the phone or at check in that the pool was "our of order" and would be so the entire weekend. The pool was the only reason we stayed at this hotel as we were traveling with 2 small children. This spoiled our weekend getaway entirely!

Getting the room cleaned was almost like begging. If you weren't out of your room by 9:00 am you could forget housekeeping. When we arrived, the clock in the room wasn't correct by over an hour. We reported it and they said it took a special key to fix. After 3 days and 2 complaints the housekeeping employee finally fixed it. 5 days into the stay maintanence […] showed up to fix it. Pool and jacuzzi need better attention. Extreme chlorine odor in enclosed pool area and jacuzzi had alot of sand on bottom. Breakfast buffet was satisfactory. Staff was friendly. Was recommended by a friend and I would stay again.

I do not recommend them. The gym was nearly 80 degrees making it impossible to do a decent workout. Unsafe: I was traveling alone and the key pad to the back door parking area was broken and the staff had no idea when it would be fixed (there are only a few parking spaces in the front). Stayed at the Wingate May 2011. Very unhappy with our experience. Check-in was quick and efficient. Front desk personel very friendly. But the room was way under par. The safe did not work, someone came to fix it and it couldn't be repaired, so we were promised a replacement that evening. We took all our valuables with us. The replacement worked once […] and then not at all. Again we took our valuables with us. The telephones did not work and even though we complained no one came to the room to fix the problem in the two days that we stayed there. The tv remote was very hard to use. The volume control was awful, had to press the buttons at least 6-8 times to get a simple response. And then we come to the cleanliness factor. The bathroom floor was sticky, and i don't just mean one spot. The whole floor, my slippers were sticking. And the toilet seat was sticky, ugh what can i say about that? There was hair in the corners of the room, including the bathroom and dust every where. On the lamp bases, the coffee maker. The upside is the breakfast offered was good(complimentary) and the location was ideal. Will i stay here again? No way. Read more

Along with our two grandchildren, ages 7 and 4, my wife and I stayed at the hotel for four days. The amenities were nice and we all enjoyed the indoor pool and the hot breakfasts each morning. We were within easy driving distance of Charlotte attractions, which made it convenient for us to enjoy our time in the area.
