First, if you are expecting a 4 star when staying at a 2 star hotel, you're going to rate these types of hotels low. I don't understand some of the reviews that evaluate it based on a high end Marriott or something. Based on the rate and our expectations, it was great! Our room was clean and roomy (1 king bed, desk, sofa chair) and the breakfast provided many options as a continental breakfast - flavored oatmeals, a few cold cereal choices, orange juice, pastries, toast, etc., along with a surprising favorite for me - hot chocolate! Staff was kind and helpful (but we don't ask for much). We were right by the elevator but never heard any noise. The hotel is located right near the Salt Palace and heart of Salt Lake. Because I'm the type of person that looks for a nice hotel at a great price, I would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

The two room suites are convenient for my family with 3 children. My oldest 2 girls loved having a room to themselves and the baby had the living room... with plenty of space for his travel crib. Room was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly. Breakfast was not very filling or convenient. We were asked to take our breakfast to our room and that proved to be a bit challenging. It's a great place. The price is right, the room was very comfortable, and it's perfect for my family. It's nice to have separate bedrooms to accommodate different bed times and privacy requirements. The free breakfast is better than nothing, but you need to go pick it up each morning and take it to your room. For that kind of breakfast, it isn't very […] portable. The cereal comes out of dispensers and the rest of the food is not so easy to grab and go. The only healthy option is a small assortment of fruit (apples, mainly). They offer muffins, but they are the prepackaged kind that are full of sugar and preservatives. They also offer yogurt, but it's all "light" - diet that contains aspartame. The staff was very nice and accommodating, though, and did what they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Read more

The room was comfortable, roomy, and clean. It was a two bedroom suite with kitchen. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The only reason I marked down the condition and upkeep of the hotel was because of the design of the entry. Other than that it was great.

A wonderful place to stay, like our own little home away from home - very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and comfortable room. Very close to shopping and the main roads of the area, making getting around very easy. Would definitely stay there again!

The place was amazing, we just wished to have the pool open, however i found out that we could go next door to the next marriott ....the ladies at the counter were so amazig and helpful and i loved the breakfast that we could just go get it and take it back to our room for the kids and we didnt have to haul the kids to the breakfast!! i am definately […] booking this hotel for the next convention in layton. we could walk back and forth the convention center and loved having he kitchen to cook to help with expenses... please make sure the two nights get creditited to my account Read more

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Stayed an extra nite. They had crib for the baby. Pool clean. Downside was older hotel, and housekeeping did half assed job. Never washed sink or tub. Never vacuumed. An average hotel. Stay bcuz of housekeeping but otherwise good!

The studio was fine for overnight. The furniture was not too comfortable to relax. I wouldnt recommend a long stay but overnight was fine. Maybe just a touch over priced compared to other places I have stayed.

Our suite had two bedrooms, kitchen, & living/diing room. It is on the same road as the Antelope Island State Park/Great Salt Lake, so that was really nice. We were travelling with my in-laws, so it was really nice for us to have two separate bedrooms. The couch in the lving room folded out, so my daughter went to sleep in our bed and we carried her […] out to the fold out sofa when the adults had gone to sleep. There was coin laundry on site and the front desk had plenty of change. There is a smaller shopping center across the street. The hotel has an exercise room with a Precor bike, elliptical & treadmill, a few weights and a weight bench. All were in good working condition during our stay. The breakfast was somewhat limited, maybe because each room comes with a kitchen. There was cold cereal, yogurt, coffee and some fresh fruit. Also some muffins. The front desk folks told me at check in that it was a grab and go breakfast, so I had the idea that there would be hot sandwiches in brown bags to grab. What they meant is that there is no seating for breakfast, so you have to take it to your room. Also a good idea to bring a container as it gets difficult to carry breakfast items and coffee.
