"Experience at Spring Hill Suites - Gahanna, OH"
The accomodations were as expected when staying at a Springhill Suites by Marriott thus the reason we choose to stay at these hotels. Most of the hotels have good all around quality in all areas and this one did not disappoint. The staff at this location were very pleasant, rooms were clean and the air was cold........Genuine Expedia guest review
"Meh hotel - there are others in the area"
We recently stayed for the weekend. The hotel is okay. We reserved the room for two adults and two kids (king size bed and sofa bed). We had to go back to the front desk to get sheets and blankets for the sofa bed (none were in the room). We never did find any extra pillows. Needed to get an extra towel for our fourth person (three in the room). Breakfast […] was okay, fruit was at the front desk, none on the buffet. Didn't try the gray turkey sausuage. Opted to skip hotel breakfast on the second day (not terribly good and same selection). Went to the pool - was a bit disturbed that the water doesn't filter unless there is enough weight in the pool to raise the water level up high enough for the filter. At first the four of us were ths only ones there but once four or five other people joined the water was high enough to go into the filter. There was a hamper for used towels at the pool but we didn't see any pool towels. I asked the front desk if they had them or we should use our room towels. The woman at the desk brought back a stack of hand towels and told me to use them. Room service took our room towels even though we hung them up to resue them and replaced our four towels with two. Back to the front desk we went for more towels. I don't quite get it. I don't feel like one towel per person is excessive. Overall the hotel was okay, but there is a TownePlace suites, Candlewood suites, and Holiday Inn express and suites in the same area so I would try another one out. I am very sensitive to odors/perfumes/fragrances. I have never encountered a hotel that used scented detergent (Tide) before. Once I informed the front desk of my situation they resolved my issue by rewashing my linens. Heather was very understanding and helpful. The rest of my stay was enjoyable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to wedding event."
FabulousGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This has been my third or fourth stay at this particular property and it is always well maintained. This time I was started by a fairly new front check-in counter that was ultra-contemporary. At first it took a bit to get used to, but I liked it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice hotel and would stay again. Would recommend this hotel to other friends and family.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel met all of our expectations and more. Three young females traveled to the area to visit Columbus. After getting back to the hotel relatively early we realized the hotel has a shuttle to accommodate within 5 miles. This was a bonus perk! They shuttle dropped us of and picked us up at a different location. It was the highlight of our trip! […] I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Overall roomy, nice hotel"
I would've rated our stay a 5, but our TV didn't work; and our daughter couldn't find the hair dryer when she needed it (we were still sleeping). It was there, however, in a bag hooked by the closet. We got there late, so we really didn't need the TV. If I would've called the front desk, I'm sure they would have brought me another one. The service from […] the front desk was excellent. And they had a really good breakfast with a lot of variety. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The manager on duty was very nice, pleasant and very courteous. I would definately stay there again if I am in the area. The breakfast was great!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Surprised by the construction"
I was very surprised to see that the hotel was under construction...while the main floor was under construction there were issues with the room as well. the faucet only had cold water and the TV wouldn't change channels. overall it was disappointing...I'll most likely stay at a Marriott again I'll ask different questions.Genuine Expedia guest review
"GOOD CHOICE FOR THE TRAVELING EXEC"
Good breakfast in the morning. Good selection so you don't have to drive off to a restaurant. Comfortable room and good service (as far as towels and soap)Genuine Expedia guest review
We didn't have any issues with anything. The staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was awesome! Eggs and sausage included for free!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The room was dirty, blood was on the blanket for the sofa sleeper, When double checking the room before our departure i lifted the bedskirt and there was trash and dirt, goes to show they don't clean very well. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was disappointing. I would not stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excelent choice for any business traveler!"
I stayed at this hotel for three night in town on business. The staff was super friendly and very helpful, room was very well appointed and large. The free breakfast was very decent with a good selection of choices, and overall the hotel was very quiet even though it is right next to the airport. The only very minor issues I had were, the beds were […] a bit too soft for my liking, but that is a preference things, they seemed very nice and I know my wife would have loved them. This was a suite with a somewhat separate living and sleeping area and he TV was more in the living room area instead of near the beds. Again, probably a preference but when I am in a hotel I prefer to lie in bed and watch tv. Overall the stay was excellent, the location was convenient to the airport and major highways, and I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not what you expect."
Typically a great place to stay. The room we had was gross. Wrappers on the floor, a hunk of hair on the pillowcase and sunflower seeds all over the floor.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Overpriced for what you get and hotel manager who is non responsive"
11/08/14 bobk1423 Columbus, Ohio
The reason this hotel is ranked 3rd out of 3 is cost of rooms are much higher than compartive hotels in the area and the hotel manager is non responsive and didn't return phone calls. Okay hotel - just not priced right
"Great room for a business trip"
11/03/14 Tim O Indianapolis, Indiana
I stayed here for a couple of weeks on a business trip. The rooms are all suites with separate sleeping area from living area including a sofa, fridge, sink, and microwave. The free wifi was surprisingly fast. The staff was very pleasant, Tara at the front desk was exceptionally helpful. The location is minutes from the Airport in a seemingly nice part of town. Rates were very reasonable, and included free hot breakfast. The hot breakfast was decent, but nothing was house made (powdered eggs, and brown n serve sausage). I would definitely consider this establishment for future trips to this area.
"Great hotel. About 5 minutes from Airport"
10/28/14 Susan W Norman, Oklahoma, United States
Loved this hotel! It was clean, trendy, beautiful and a very large room. Had a small fridge, sink and microwave. Very friendly and helpful staff. Even though it was very close to the airport, I heard nothing all night. Big, comfy bed! Good size desk for business travelers. Free Wi-Fi. My first stay at a Springhill Suites, but it won't be my last!
"Super Clean. Excellent Staff"
10/25/14 ThePahls Hurricane, West Virginia
Very contemporary decor, very clean. Excellent customer service. The rooms are laid out nicely and the dining/living area were suitable for our party. The beds were extremely comfortable. The only complaint that I have was the guests who were outside near sunrise talking loudly (we were on the third floor), we could hear their conversation on street level. Non smoking rooms and zero residual tobacco smell sealed the deal. We will be back!!!!
"Very Nice Room, Convenient Location, Great Fitness Center"
09/21/14 ckopczyk Milwaukee, Wisconsin
I stayed here on a business trip last week. Staff were very friendly at check-in/out, the room was very clean, and the layout/size of the room were great for a multi-day trip. The real treat was the fitness center, featuring multiple treadmills (though the area around the hotel is nice for running) and dumbbells up to 50 pounds. The complimentary breakfast was pretty tasty and had some nice hot features (Canadian bacon/eggs). The room was very quiet. The only negative was that the bed was very soft, which may be ok for some people. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again.

I was nervous booking a hotel, however modestly priced, near an airport. But this newly renovated hotel was chic, comfortable, immaculate, and full of very nice personnel. Tara, front desk, was helpful in finding special dinner reservations for my husband and I. The morning buffet was good, but ever better were the fresh peaches by the checkout that we enjoyed every day! Large rooms, spacious desk and kitchen area. Only wished for more vanity room, but we easily made do. I really liked the artwork -- all water-based themes. Couldn't keep my eyes off them! Loved that the windows slide open. I hate dry hotel rooms, but we could enjoy the cool outdoors. Only heard one plane the entire trip, even though we were close to airport. I'm writing a review of Cap City Diner (nearby and DELICIOUS), if you need a good restaurant recommendations.
"Clean facility, incompetent staff"
09/14/14 conniejt45 Muncie, Illinois
The hotel was very clean, which is important to me, but the early morning clerk was smoking in the No smoking area. She said that she had to smoke there because she couldn't be very far away from the desk. The beds are very soft and need to be replaced.
"Needs Remodeling - Trouble Free Stay - Great Staff"
08/27/14 RetiredArmyRANGER San Antonio, Texas
Stayed 3 nights here for a short business trip. I have stayed here before, about a year ago, and it seems like time stood still. No change, still out dated furniture, beds (soft), colors etc. But the service is top-notch and I would stay here again due the limited choice in the area. There are several eateries down the street to satisfy your hunger. I had a room on the airport and interstate and heard it the first night. So recommend a room on the opposite site if and when possible. Video on the youtube channel. Thanks for reading and if it helps, give a thumps up! RetiredArmyRANGER
"It's all good!"
08/26/14 baker428 Daytona Beach, Florida
After a long day of flying and driving, I was glad to get to the hotel! It was only about 8 minutes from Port Columbus airport, so it was very convenient for my early morning flight the following day. The room was spacious and clean. I was disappointed that the room didn't have a hair dryer because this was the one time I opted not to pack my own. I took a chance at asking the front desk if they happend to have one I could borrow, or maybe a shower cap. I was told there should be a hair dryer in my room and offered to bring one up to me if I didn't find it upon double-checking. I chose to walk back down to the front desk when I still didn't see one, and she found one for me. The bed and pillows were very comfortable in my opinion. I liked having a ceiling fan in my room. I've never had that in a hotel room before, and it gave it a homey touch. I checked out just a couple minutes shy of the breakfast bar opening because I had to get to the airport, but both the breakfast attendant and the woman at the front desk in the morning told me to help myself and grab something before I left. I appreciated them looking out for me to make sure I could have a breakfast on the go. They have a small "market" area in the lobby which includes a couple frozen dinners (microwave in your room), and I think I saw yogurt, nuts, hummus cup....not sure what all they offered, but I like that some Marriott hotels offer that in case you're too tired or not feeling well enough to get back out for a meal. No complaints about the hotel at all. The staff was friendly and helpful, a comfortable & clean room, ice machine conveniently on the floor, and very quiet (I didn't hear the elevator or the ice machine, which were in close proximity to my room, nor did I hear doors slamming or people talking in the halls). I will definitely choose this hotel again if business brings me back to this area.
"reliable, no worries; rainy nights may be an issue in some rooms"
08/22/14 MarkAXA Allendale, New Jersey
staff was pleasant and helpful, room was generously sized. No issues with anything at all, just something I never experienced before during a rainstorm. The room I was in had a window with a partially obstructed view (not the issue) but was near another section of roof; when it rained later that night it sounded like hail but was just rain. It's quite a reach to find a negative here, just saying for the light sleepers out there to be aware of those couple of rooms.
