Our room was next to the stairwell and the elevator very loud and we were not able to change at the time. the linens did not smell of smoke but the bathroom area did so it would be in the living area.No where to sit and have breakfast at the breakfast buffet since people were sleeping and we didnt want to return to the room

Our stay wasnt too bad. The room was small but in good shape. About an hour after we checked out we recieved a $250 charge on our card. We called to find out why and they said we had smoked in the room. None of us smoke. We tried to contact the hotel manager and Marriot. Hotel manager hung up after saying we smoked in the room. This is a lot like the other TownePlace hotels in which we have stayed. The rooms are clean and bathrooms are very clean. The staff was very nice as was the owner. Everything worked as it should have. We had the surprise experience of staying there while the Waldo Canyon Fire was occurring. We had to evacuate from the hotel right in the middle of our […] week long stay. It was really interesting and sad what actually happened to the neighborhood directly behind the hotel. We ended up having to stay about an hour away while the Mountain Shadows section was under mandatory evacuation. When we later were allowed to return to the hotel to retrieve ALL of our belongings, we were shocked to discover that none of it smelled like the forest fire. They must have closed up the hotel and did not circulate the smell from the fire. That was nice! Read more

Staff overall is great and friendly. Although, before we got to the hotel, there was no indication from hotels.com or the hotel itself that the pool was out of service and being worked on, no offer of discount on room because of it. When we first got into the room, the bathroom light was not working correctly, one of the spots on the range did not work, […] and one of the room keys didn't work. The front desk was vigilant on getting the problems fixed. The room was very clean but the bed wasn't as comfortable as I expected, the pillows were not supportive and way too soft. Very weak breakfast if you're avoiding carbohydrates. Coffee was full of grinds the second morning. Decent room; fairly quiet; small pillows; small bathroom. No trash can in bathroom.

Good for a week's stay, but for a one - nighter you could find more comfort for the price. Mattress needed to be replaced. Dust on the bedstead and tv stand. Breakfast required a walk across the windy parking lot. Desk help friendly, but minimal housekeeping services.

I was pleased with our stay. We had a complete kitchen (refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher) in a very efficient use of space. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was convenient to Garden of the Gods and had a great view out our front window.

Either the walls are a little thin or the man next to us was really loud. He was on the phone for about 30 minutes and it was loud enough to be a slight annoyance. Other than that it was a restful night.

My room was a small suite, with a desk, couch, widescreen TV, and full kitchen. It was so comfortable! Everything was very clean and nicely maintained. The shower was great (one of the things that makes a difference to me in a hotel room.) For the same price as a bare room elsewhere, I got this nice suite! Recommended!

I expect Marriott properties to be better than average. This one was only average, at best. The room did not smell fresh. The TV, although a flat panel, was poorly positioned on a table next to the bed. The room was clean, but not outstanding. Excellent location near Gardens Of the Gods, with many restaurants conveniently located.

I was in town to run the Pikes Peak marathon and your place was a hop, skip and a jump to the start line in Manitou Springs. I had a great view of Pikes Peak from my window. We stayed 6 days during AFA Graduation Week. All I can say is it was noisy. Our room and the one next to us had a double suite door. It might as well have been non existent. Chose this hotel because it was one of the few places in the area I could find that offered 2-bedroom family suites (wanted a seperately bedroom for my daughter). Has a decent location, near many places to eat + grocery store, not too far from main highway, but a little difficult to find at night with the main entrance, in the back not on the main road. […] The two bedroom family suite is fairly spacious and well equipped. Everything is fairly new so doesn't show signs of wear. The room floor plans and pictures didn't match the images on the TownPlace suite web site, but it was still ok. Continental breakfast is pretty weak. Went to nearby starbucks instead. Had difficulty getting my iPhone 4 to connect to the free WiFi due to their required log-in code and process. Read more

What a fantastic place to stay. My husband and I had a 2 bedroom suite that was fantastic. I can't wait to go back. I would recommend this hotel to all. You won't be disappointed. Location is superb. For me, it was as good as when I lived there. There is every convience in this particular location. I can't say enough good things about this hotel.
