"La Quinta Suites - Portland Airport"
We arrived in Portland when a large sports event was on and hotels downtown were not to be had. Hotels.com recommended La Quinta Suites by the airport - only 17 minutes away. So we loitered over supper, enjoyed the town and then checked in. In fairness, La Quinta is about what one would expect from an end-of-the runway motel. Reasonably comfortable […] rooms and a free breakfast of sorts. Except this one is a bit more run down than most. The water in the "hot tub" was tepid, and foul - badly in need of cleaning and some stronger chemicals. The pool water was also murky. The outgoing flights and the commuter traffic had us all awake at 0530. We shifted to the Holiday Inn Express another 5 minutes out in Troutman for our second night. Less expensive, cleaner, better breakfast and quieter. So rate this first visit to La Quinta suites as my last. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"La Quinta Inn and Suites PDX"
Great place to stay before a flight. Left our car and didn't have to leave it in a back lot or something. Cheaper than the airport. Right up front next to check in! Great fast shuttle service to the airport. Will definitely stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good overnight stay"
I stayed here while on a quick business trip to Portland. The 24 hour shuttle form PDX was convenient, because I had a late arrival. The shuttle driver and the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a nice selection of hot and cold items, and the business center, located in the breakfast room, was nice to be able to check in […] for my flight home. "La Quinta Portland--great staff"
The location of the hotel was a bit awkward but the staff were available to shuttle to the airport and to the MET station. The staff were very accommodating and nice. The room was clean the bed was very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was way beyond continental--eggs, sausage and Belgium waffles! Yum!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean & Quiet Room - comfy king bed"
That's all I ask of a hotel, but it amazes me how many miss those two simple qualities. The LaQuinta Inn at the Portland Airport hits them square on the mark, AND they are pet-friendly. We paid no additional charge for our canine traveling companion. For basic overnight accommodations in a convenient location this property was more than adequate. We […] had challenges locating "fast food" eateries nearby that weren't either at the nearby Mall or within PDX. After a long, tiring drive (with a dog) we needed a nearby takeout establishment to grab a meal and retire to our room. In fairness, we did not first consult with the hotel staff, relying instead on our GPS. The following morning, we were unable to sample the LaQuinta's included breakfast due to a crush of high school kids visiting Portland for a basketball tournament. The tiny breakfast nook was standing-room-only, but we easily found a couple of other suitable restaurants nearby. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"needs some maintenance"
The building definetly needs some maintenance. The carpet in the hall was all bunched up and had a one to two inch bump all the way down the hall, The sink faucet in our room had the hot-cold water hooked up backwards, and the handle was about to fall off. The juice dispencer didn't work for the first two days for breakfast, only water, and the wireless […] internet didn't work the last two days. The hot tub was so cloudy that you couldn't see the bottom. 11/27/2011 to12/01/2011 Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The Hotel was nice for the price and area. The breakfast was better than most LaQuinta 's I stayed at but after two days it was enough. The shuttle was convenient and the staff was friendly, however they did not know much about what Portland offered for Tourist. The internet was down for the week and every day they promised it was going to be fix, it […] never happened. We had to use internet at the hotel across the street. We took a tour that one of the staff at the front desk recommended. It was a highlight of our vacation. It was far too expensive but the tour guide made it enjoyable. "Handy to Everything"
Located near the airport, next to Cascade Station (rail and shopping) and just off the freeway. This place is handy to all of Portland and Vancouver. "Portland stay"
Hotel is what it is, La Quinta is a value chain. The parking lot is too small for the rooms they book so you frequently have to park across the street or on the street, the spots they have are very small so good luck with not having your rental car dented. Rooms are ok, but not new. The staff is not overly friendly and you may or may not get towels […] when requested. But if you need a reasonable place for sleeping, this is a reasonable place. "La Quinta near Portland Airport"
While my overall review of the hotel is mostly positive, I feel that there are some areas that could improve to make your stay more enjoyable. The staff was very friendly & checkin/out were very smooth. Our room was a very good size with 2 comfy queen beds, 2 tvs, a small fridge & microwave. My complaint is mostly with the quality of the construction […] used for the hotel. The rooms need better sound proofing - you could hear kids running up & down the halls, I could hear someone showering in a nearby room at around 3:00 am, & traffic noises were easily heard with the windows closed (right next to a busy freeway). All these things could have been taken care of if they had spent a little extra during construction. The TVs in the room were old & one had a bad power button that really should have been replaced. The rooms really could have used some updating, but were comfortable enough. They did have a hot breakfast, which is a step up from the continental breakfast served at some hotels. All in all, not a bad place to stay, but I have stayed in other hotels in the same price range that were better than this one. I would give them a C rating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"LaQuinta Inn and Suites-Portland Airport"
Due to mechanical problems on our Delta Flight from CVG we were unable to make it to Portland for our reservation and were stuck overnight in Minneapolis. We called the hotel from the airplane to let them know but they said they had a 24 hr. cancellation policy and we were billed the full charge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Inconsistent Concern About Safety Hazards"
I tried using the treadmill in the gym one morning, but it would randomly turn itself off after a short distance. I told the employee at the front desk and he just laughed about it, explaining that when you use the gym equipment during breakfast hours, the wiring gets messed up and the machines will turn themselves off. I told him that it was a safety […] hazard, that someone could get hurt and sue them (I'm an attorney), and that they ought to put up a sign. He laughed it off and said maybe. I ended up complaining to another employee later, who was much more professional about it and agreed to put up a sign and alert the manager. The same unprofessional employee also kept nagging me after the treadmill incident about having my dog near the dining area. There were no signs posted nearby saying animals were allowed in or near the vicinity of the dining area. I was standing right outside of it and my dog literally had two of her paws inside, yet he kept telling me to get out of the area. It was weird that he was so concerned about the tiny possibility of a little fur getting on the floor but he didn't seem to mind the idea of a human being seriously injured or his hotel being sued. Other than that, the hotel was fine. It was clean and it was convenient that pets were allowed. The rooms were pretty quiet and were adequate for the price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"La Quinta doing what it do"
La Quinta is consistently comfortable, clean and tangibly nicer/higher value than really everything else I use in the comparable class and price range. I can't remember a more comfortable bed. I'm always stoked to line up a La Quinta. Highly recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice but not great"
We often stay near the PDX airport while visiting our kids. The La Quinta experience was a positive one. We liked the price and chose it over our normal hotel because it was about $25 per night less expensive. In hindsight, we probably would have pay the difference in the future for the larger space and better (restaurant) full breakfast, No complaints..just […] liked the all suite approach better. "So convenient and everything we needed"
Me and my two kids, took spring break to Portland and picked this hotel because it was close to the airport and easy access to highways. The hotel was great, service was great, free breakfast everyday was great, the pool and hot tub were great, my absolute only complaint was that the treadmill kept shutting off everyday I used it. I am training for […] my first race and one of the reasons I chose this hotel was because it had a small gym. This was very frustrating that the treadmill did not work properly and after complaining to the front desk, I was told it must be a short circuit with the kitchen because they also complained of outlet power outages. Sounds like this is an ongoing issue and should be addressed!! THAT was my only complaint though, we had a fabulous stay at this hotel and would definitely stay again there!!! "Nice stay"
I've stayed at this hotel multiple times before. It has what you need. Great breakfast options (eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles etc.). The rooms are decent. You get a wide variety of channels for your room. It's in a great location to the airport, and it's also close to the freeways so if you need to get into downtown it's easy!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not bad..."
I've stayed at this hotel previously. Things with this hotel are great. Good breakfast, great service and you even get a wide range of television channels in your room. The only problem I have with this hotel is there is only one elevator. So if you have a lot of luggage, prepare to wait a bit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
