It was nice. We stayed there for the steam room, hot tub & pool. The jets in the hot tub didn't work, but we still had fun!! We will stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"NO TV . THIS IS NOT GOOD."
THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE JUST CHANGING OVER TO HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS AND HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE TV. IF WE DIDN'T HAVE TV THEY WOULD SEND SOMEONE TO FIX IT. THAT WAS A LIE. WE CALLED TWICE AND THEY DID NOT COME. WE ARE THINKING THAT THE WHOLE HOTEL WAS OUT OF TV AND THERE WAS NO WAY TO FIX IT. LIES UNCALLED FOR SO WE WILL NOT STAY AGAIN. DEGenuine Expedia guest review
"Easy access to 205....but under new ownership."
We stayed at the Oxford Suites, Janzen Beach, Oregon in 2011 while in Portland visiting family. We really like the hotel and was happy to learn of an Oxford Suites in Gladstone,Oregon...closer to family. When we arrived the facility was under construction. The Front Desk Clerk told us the Holliday Inn Express purchased this facilty. Had we know this […] in advance we would have went back to the Jenzen Beach Hotel. We did not get any kinda of discount because of the inconvience of the construction. Expedia should have known that this Hotel was now Haliday Inn and under construction and offered some kind of credit for this room. We stayed 6 nights. I will not use Expedia again unless its a deal to good to pass up. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great value, convenient location and very friendly and helpful staff. My only issue was with some amenities not being available (pool & Hot tub) and the breakfast room and staff were overwhelmed with guests during the hours they were serving.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Outstanding all around!"
Made to order eggs at breakfast, great room, what more could you ask? Safeway gorcery store right across the parking lot, so convenient for things you've forgotten, too!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to restaurants"
We were exploring the area and wanted a clean comfortable hotel. This fit the bill breakfast was fast and free adequate too. Heard the were bought by Holiday Inn, if so we will not be back. Nice staffGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good View of Clackamas River"
Good sized room and clean. Housekeeping was friendly when I saw them in the hallway. The front desk wasn't overly friendly. I've stayed at this hotel at least a dozen times because I have a friend that lives close so I've gotten used to the area. It's a nice place, something was just different this time. They were remodeling the lobby but the workers […] were only there during the day and it wasn't a big deal. The front desk ladies just kind of had the attitude that they didn't like their job and it showed. The girl that checked me in was nice and helpful but after that I could barely get one to look up from their papers or phone when I walked in. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We liked the room but not the location or maybe it was there was not any restaurants within walking a short distance. We arrived about 9:30pm and wanted something to eat. There's a Safeway next door, so that's what we did.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very clean and friendly"
Above average, great deal for the price. Excellent breakfast and guest serviceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We needed a room for one night as our home was being worked on. Location was good for us. We invited our granddaughter to come and swim. Hotel offers complimentary wine/beer & soup/salad during evening hours and a buffet breakfast - pancakes & eggs cooked to order. Very nice!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel away from the busy downtown area."
This hotel fit within our vacation budget, included free breakfast, laundry facility and A/C in the room. It is in the middle of a business area on the edge of the Clackamas River; we had a nice view from our 3rd floor balcony. Free breakfast helped save on meal expenses. They offered cereals, breads, coffee/milk/juice and a cafeteria-like line if you […] wanted to get a hot breakfast - pancakes, waffles, french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. In the evenings there was a reception where they offered complimentary beer, wine and finger foods. Toiletries included bottles of hand soap/shampoo/conditioner/bath soap. Hairdryer, ironing board, fridge and microwave was available in our room. I used the laundry room once - you do have to pay to use the machines, it is not a free service. There are computers with internet access available in lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful. Checking in and checking out was painless. Given the location and amenities available, my impression is that this hotel is geared toward traveling business people. It is not a luxury hotel you would want to hang out at all day, but is perfect for having a place to shower and sleep. Not much do in Gladstone, most of the action is in downtown Portland. Bonus: Pet friendly - but aggressive breeds not allowed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"A tad run down but clean"
No mold - clean rooms - firm beds. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was eggs cooked to order plus meat etc. MUCH better than a continental breakfast. Given that I wasn't eating potatoes or wheat, I had to go back a couple times to get enough to eat. I would much rather serve my own bacon, thanks. They also had a good free beer on tap for cocktail […] hour. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"We loved our stay at the Oxford Suites."
People at the front desk were friendly and helpful as were the people working in the dining room. The amenities were beyond other places we stayed, drinks in the evening, salad and soup bar, and full breakfast in the morning. The rooms were large and clean. We are telling our fiends who travel to the West Coast to stay at the Oxford Suites.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was not at all like it was presented on your website. Although it was very clean, the carpet was dirty and stained, the furniture was old and 40's or 50's era furniture and curtains were old, very old.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pretty Good hotel, for the Road."
For a road hotel, it's a good one. If you wanna experience Portland, you should better look for better location, inside the city. Allthough, pretty good rooms and facility, good staff and OK breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great value for business!"
The free breakfast didn't have tons of choices but saved me the cost and hassle of going somewhere else to eat, and the refrigerator in the room made things very pleasant. Best of all, the business center allowed me to print, make a few copies, and send faxes free. Just what I needed and a big time saver!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"VERY far from Portland"
The hotel was clean and the pool and hot tub were a nice bonus, but it was really far away from Portland. I do not recommend this hotel if you are visiting Portland for just a few days as we were. Allso, when we checked in, we had to change rooms 3 times before we got the type of room we reserved...poor service with reservations! Also, it shares a parking […] lot with a Safeway which was not the most pleasant of environments....don't let the "views of the river" fool you... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable hotel with helpful staff."
In town to visit relatives. Relaxing, quiet, friendly place to return after a long day. Evening reception very nice, often used it for my dinner. Breakfast cooked to order and delicious.Genuine Expedia guest review
As hotels go, the Oxford Suites was average. The hotel was clean, but our room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The mattress was extremely hard for our liking. The setting could be very beautiful. The hotel sits right on the river. However, the freeway traffic was extremely loud so we were unable to open the patio […] door. I would recommend getting a room on the top floor, otherwise, you will hear the people above you. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for family vacation in Portland"
This location was perfect as a home away from home in the Portland area. The morning breakfast and evening reception was a real bonus. Having a Safeway next door and gas stations close by also added a lot of convenience. The Clackamas River is beautiful and our visit coincided with warm weather so it was entertaining to watch locals jumping from the […] rocks. There's a nice park near by with a walking/biking trail along the river. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

It was awesome! Loved the room, enjoyed all the comforts!! Breakfast was great too! And my granddaughter enjoyed the time at the pool. Thanks so much for a wonderful and relaxing trip. "Oxford Inn in Gladstone a nice choice for a stay."
We liked everything about our stay except the lumpy pillows!! I am a picky sleeper and could have used a feather pillow or softer foam. The evening complimentary light dinner was an excellent touch. I would recommend Oxford to others and stay at one again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great view overlooking the river."
I had a wonderful stay at the Oxford Hotel. The service upon checking in was fast and friendly. I was very happy with the room as well. My balcony overlooked a river and it was nice to sit and stare at the water after a long day in the office. I will be staying here again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not sure how this hotel received a high rating"
The gentleman at the counter came off as genuinely irritated he had to do his job. Regardless of whether or not they use a computer system, you're forced to manually fill out all your information on a piece of paper. After a long trip, this was not the way I wanted to be introduced to my hotel. The hotel lobby is nice. It's a mix between modern decor […] and an old western saloon. It doesn't work well and the whole theme just looks and feels very strange. It gave my wife and I a chuckle and we headed to the room. The double queen room (all they had when we booked) was relatively large for a room of this price. Unfortunately, they didn't put any of this square footage into the bathroom so it's very small. If it weren't for the modern lighting fixtures, you would think the room hadn't been updated since the 70s. The decor is just awfully put together. The bed, which is arguably the one thing that matters, was stiff and uncomfortable. To add to that, the ice machines are not in alcoves like they ought to be but rather in the hallway. They're loud and you can hear them dumping ice through the door with the TV on. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Overnight with the Family"
This is always our "go-to" hotel while visiting the Portland area. We stay here a couple times a year and are always pleased with the rates and location. "Hard Beds - View of the Freeway - Not Tranquil"
The Best Western 2 exits down had great balconies facing the river away from the freeway with a lovely restaurant. We had family staying there and the room was much better than the Oxford for a better price. Beds were hard and the freeway noise made it impossible to enjoy the balcony, with the doors closed is was quiet enough to sleep. Would choose […] a different hotel on our next stay. Staff was very nice and friendly with good breakfast. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Kids want to come back to this hotel!"
Kids (12 & 9) loved the pool and the breakfast. Also all rooms have a nice river view, but Safeway is just across the parking lot so you can get snacks and redbox movies easily. Rafting in Husum is about an hour away - fun! Room was nice and staff was great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location, location, location!!"
Way too far from all the places we planned to go in Portland. Also, the hotel is located right by the freeway, so any ambience of the river is drowned out by the freeway! There were transients camping on the riverbank right by the hotel - not conducive for a stroll along the river!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall OK for the price . We were kept waiting over 15 min. at check in and our room was Right Next to the lobby desk. Noisy and not very private : (Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great, comfortable place to stay!"
I love staying at the Oxford Suites. This is my second time there, and it was even better than the last time. They have a free hot breakfast, and a wine/beer/pop/appetizer reception from 5:30 - 9:30 pm! The rooms are very nice and all of them overlook the Clackamas River. The only down side is that it also overlooks I-205 and is a bit noisy when standing […] on the balcony, but that really didn't bother me at all. The King Executive room has two televisions, a pull out couch, coffee table, refrigerator and microwave, coffee maker and a desk to work at. The only issue I had was that I couldn't get the wi-fi to work on my check-out day, but that was just a minor inconvenience (and could have been operator error too). I was also able to log into my email downstairs in the Business Center and print out a coupon that I needed. All in all, a great place to stay and I look forward to staying there again! "Hotel on the river"
Stayed over night. Overlooked the river and the freewayGenuine Expedia guest review
"The sign in the lobby said..."
The sign in the lobby said, "The only thing we overlook is the river." Well, that's not quite accurate because they also overlook the 6-lane highway bridge that spans the river... So needless to say, the view was more of the billion cars speeding by, with a 4 second lapse in between (we counted the westbound lanes before laughing & giving up). Sigh... […] It was really loud & defeated the purpose of getting a balcony room. We tried sitting outside to enjoy a drink, but couldn't hear each other talk. Other than that, the hotel was great & their reception in the evening was nice, as was their breakfast in the morning. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Conveniently located with lots of perks"
I have to say that the this hotel and staff really try hard. Sure it's not a 5 star Hilton but with the views to the river and ease on and off the highway I can't complain. They had complimentary happy hour with snacks and a cook to order egg breakfast. Every staff member was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was nice and clean, […] the bathroom large and the bed comfy. I would stay there again next time I am in town. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
