"a little expensive but overall very good stay"
i arranged the hotel the last minute to go to yellowstone, so everything is expensive. i only found this hotel close enough to west entrance and it took about 40 mins to get into yellowstone Madison junction area. but on the way is very beautiful and so i did not mind. The hotel is comfortable and nice atmosphere and close to all the restaurants and […] shopping area in the small town. if you cannot find the hotel inside yellowstone, this hotel is the one to go. the room i got is a little noisy because it is close to ice machine. but i am tired driving the whole day, so i did not notice as usual. "Perfect Location to Yellowstone and Shopping"
Just in front of West Entrance of Yellowstone National park. Surrounded with sourvenior shops, restaurants (including many Chinese), and Grizzly Bear and Wolf Park.. Next to Supermarket too. Cool location !Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice inn---Near restaurants & shops."
Nice quiet room air conditioner / heater. Very good continental breakfast. Staff was very helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
All in all it was a good experience. Great proximity to park which was worth a lot. Greatest disappointment was false advertising of pool and spa which are closed indefinitely despite what website says. Breakfast was good with exception of coffee but great coddeeGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very good hotel right outside Yellowstone."
I recommend staying in West Yellowstone instead of the park itself. The three restaurants we ate at were surprisingly good. The two small supermarkets were much better than the stores in the park, the gift shops had more merchandise and the town even had an IMax movie theater. There was good cell phone service. Inside the park, cell phone service is […] virtually nonexistent and spotty even at the major visitor centers. The disadvantage of staying at West Yellowstone is that there is an extra 30 minutes of driving at the start and end of the day to get to the attractions in the park. "Do not book here"
The hotel was horrible! The rooms were tiny! Barely fit a bed. Paint was peeling off the ceiling. There was mold in the tiny tiny bathroom! The door to the hall way wouldn't shut all the way. The bed was lumpy and hard. There are no hot tubs or sauna. According to the staff There hasn't been for over a year. They have a pool that is closed due to not […] passing state regulations. The walls are paper thin. I mean PAPER thin. Was woken up at 7 am by a car (not a motorcycle or a truck...a car) outside and then couldn't go back to sleep due to hearing every word of every conversation. The staff was less than kind/helpful. Seriously do not stay here unless you have 0 other options (including your own vehicle). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, easy parking and in-out"
Any place in West Yellowstone is a good place as far as Yellowstone entrance proximity is concerned, plus our tour bus picked us up, so good location overall. Price is a bit above average for WY but not too high. Our main street facing rom was unexpectedly quiet but a better choice than backside where construction was in progress.Genuine Expedia guest review

For the money spent the inn was decent. But that's just the price you pay in west yellowstone. Have nothing bad to say about stagecoach inn. Very nice and comfortable. Free breakfast, would stay again if neededGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Loudest hotel ever"
I could hear everything from my room... my neighbor took a shower and I had to turn up my tv to hear it. I don't know what it is about this place, but it was extremely loud. My bed didn't even have a comforter or bedspread. Parking is on the street which did not make me feel comfortable...there was a radio playing in the hallway with music which I've […] never experienced in a hotel hallway, it was actually kinda creepy because you could barely hear it...you just heard something. I didn't have a good feeling about this place so refused to eat there so can't comment on the breakfast... I won't return to this hotel for my next yellowstone visit. The Hotel is perfectly located at 2 Mi from Yellowstone Park Gate. The rooms are nice, clean, but the promised pool, fitness room, spa and parking garage were all closed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Internet was on/off first night. Second night it was not working at all. Called the front desk regarding internet issue they told me to call the internet tech's two numbers provided in the room. When I called, both numbers were not in service. Weather was poor... Cold and pouring rain. Two kids, 11 and 14, nothing for them to do in the inn. There was […] a pool but under construction. Just very disappointing and frustrated stay. Would never return again and would not recommend to anyone with kids. Staff are not friendly and not helpful at all. "Last Minute Booking"
The woman at the front desk was likely at the end of a long shift, as she was gone by the time we finished unpacking, but she seemed annoyed or bothered by our arrival. She was professional, but dismissive and a bit rude. With barely any eye contact, she simply handled the transaction and went back to whatever she was doing. We called down to report […] the WiFi was malfunctioning, and she told us WE had to call tech support. We did, and they had to call her to reset the local router. Three hours later, the 'net was on, but gone again the next morning. At checkout, the morning staff was far more pleasant, courteous, and prompt. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Stage Coach Inn not up to par"
For the price that the Stage Coach Inn charges for a night it is not up to par as other hotels I have stayed at. There is no refrigerator in the rooms. The towels are very thin. The breakfast is very limited and not what I would call a breakfast. The front desk people were not the most friendly. They charge you for the paper to print your boarding pass. "Great location, average hotel"
The hotel is very charming. It is decorated in a more rustic motif with stuffed animals littering the lobby. There is Bear Naked brand granola in your room when you first arrive but is not replenished everyday. The hotel is quite old and the rooms are a bit musty. It bothered my allergies to sleep there but we left the windows open during the day while […] we were in Yellowstone and that helped a bit. Breakfast was included which was a nice amenity. The pool and gym were closed while we were there for construction. There were also several rooms that could be accessed because of construction. The prices were pretty expensive for what you got, honestly. Especially with the inability to access some. Of the amenities (I.e., gym, pool). The surrounding town is very cute and it is located a mere 10 minute drive from the west entrance of Yellowstone, which is ideal and the best thing this hotel has going for it. It is a good alternative to the lodges in Yellowstone as well since it seems you have to book those about 5 years in advance. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"An "OK" Hotel, overpriced for the value"
The Hotel advertised free WI-FI, but to get the wifi signal, guests had to go into the hallways or into the hotel lobby. Hiow crazy is that!! That was really upsetting. When paying over $200 per night, there should be wifi available in each room!! The fact that the swimming pool was not reads to be used, should have resulted in a reduction in our room […] rate, but it was not even offered by the staff. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"shabby and overpriced"
Shabby smelly room, run down and overpriced. In a summer tourist area so if you are booking at the last moment, this is what is left. Lots of bus tours use this hotel.. "Great hotel in West Yellowstone."
We stayed here for a night on an extended family vacation in the Wyoming and Montana area. We were very pleased with our stay here. Our room and beds were very comfortable! The refrigerator in our room was not working and as soon as we let them know at the front desk we had a hotel staff member in our room attempting to fix it. When they could not solve […] the problem, they brought in another refrigerator for us. The only downside was that the pool had recently been under construction and was not available for our children to use. We then spent the evening then walking around beautiful West Yellowstone, not a bad trade-off! Loved the decor in the lobby! Just had a real nice feel to the place, we could not have been more pleased! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"I was intrigued by the changes in the city/co tred"
We used West Yellowstone as our base to spend two full days in Yellowstone NP. Having visited West Yellowstone, and the Park on two previous occasions, approximately 15 years ago, I was intrigued and interested in the very positive changes that had occurred in the town...while no changes had occurred in the Park...(which is also very positive). "Would Stay Here Again"
I have been to West Yellowstone several times. I have stayed at some other places in town and this is one of the nicer places. I was disappointed because the lounge/bar was under construction during our stay and the swimming pool and spa were not yet open (despite it being June). The hotel staff was nice and friendly. The room was clean, however, the […] set-up was a bit odd. The bed was comfy but there were not enough pillows. "Old and smelly!"
This is the hotel that I have payed the most and the worst. The bathroom smelled really bad like cat pee. I think it was mold because the ceiling had some black stuff at the edges and it is because there is no extractor or window. The room was stuffy and smelly. Heads up! The laundry room only opens from 8-10, which is a bummer cuz everyone wants to […] do laundry early or late, not in the middle of the day when you are out and about. The only good thing about this hotel is the looks of the outside cuz it looks like a nice old lodge and the lobby too but if you care for room cleanliness and you think this will bother you, then don't book here. I felt like I couldn't take my shoes off because it had a dirty feel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"NIce rooms and compfortable beds - will be back"
Since they remodeled the Hotel a few years ago the rooms have great beds and pillows. It is clean and nice sized. I loved the history of the old holtel with some modern day updates. The location was very good, close to everything. I will always stay here when I am in West YellowstoneGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Liked the historical lobby area. Room was okay with no problems in cleanliness, but a little dated. Had trouble getting very many television channels. Ice machine was in a room that remained locked from late in evening until 8 in morning. Was still locked after 8am when we wanted some ice for the road.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Fine, but overpriced"
The Stagecoach Inn is on the historic walking tour of W. Yellowstone, where it is described as having been built to bring class and sophistication to the town. Oh, how things have changed. The hotel is fine, the room was clean, it had a fridge and microwave, plenty of towels and bath amenities, the bed was in good shape, and the staff were friendly […] and accommodating. But it is nothing special. And of course, there are all the stuffed animals inthe lobby (I will leave that to you as to whether that is a plus or minus). On the negative side, the wifi only works in the lobby, and the breakfast isn't up to par with those at budget priced hotel chains, like Holiday Inn or La Quinta - the only protein offered were hard boiled eggs. Overall, it certainly wasn't worth $260 a night (for the deluxe king). I dislike the practice of having the room rates change according to availability, and because of the demand around Yellowstone, it seems particularly rampant there. This room should have cost about half of what we paid. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"West Yellowstone hotel in a walking town"
We weren't sure what to expect because of the on-line photos. The photos of the animals in the lobby seemed larger than life. But when we arrived we found the lobby very welcoming, and people were lounging and enjoying the company. I didn't give 5 stars because we were given the accessible room. I didn't mind it but would have preferred a regular room. […] Our room faced the street, but I found it to be very quiet and comfortable. My only regret is that we didn't stay more than 1 night because I would have loved to explore the shops and restaurants of West Yellowstone and this hotel location offered convenience to these. "Historic old west"
Nice hotel with lovely breakfast & laundry facilities for $8.00 per load to wash & dry. Only complaint is in the historic end of hotel (classic room), there was no micro or refrig plus air conditioning is right next to the bed...2 ft. away & blows directly on you during sleep. Overall, enjoyed our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Do not disturb does not mean bother me!"
We arrived late and placed the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. At 8:30 housekeeping knocked to see if we were still there...mind you check out us at 12:00. Then again at 11:00 a knock was at the door. I opened it and said "can I help you"? They were once again seeing if we were still there. I informed them again that check out is at noon and my sign […] was on my door. As we were just finishing getting ready at 11:45 another housekeeper knocked and asked my husband if we were staying another night! We left at noon and went to speak to the manager, who wasn't there, so we wrote a letter asking for an immediate call back and we gave yet to hear from them. This place was old, uncomfortable, and by far the SMALLEST room I have ever stayed in. I think my bedroom I grew up in was bigger. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"To tell the truth"
Pool, spa, and restaurant were not open or even able to be opened because of some kind of building code approval. I had a very comfortable stay at the Stage Coach. My friends and I were worried that the hotel might be overwhelmed since it was fully booked by the time we stayed there. "Nice place to stay"
We booked our room here given that there weren't any other rooms available in town. It was expensive! largely a function of needing a room at the last minute at the height of summer, but also probably because it is historic. It is fairly well-kept, though everything seems a little worn, including the beds. Our room was at the very end of the hall, so […] a long walk from the stairs/elevator and also too distant for the wi-fi. We had to sit in the lobby to access it (along with several other guests, so perhaps not just a problem of distance). Otherwise, our room and linens were clean and it was a pleasant enough stay.
