Generally convenient and comfortable. Clean rooms and loved the availability of a shuttle but wish the front desk was more informative about it. We happened to find out about it by chance. Thought overnight parking at $15 per night a little pricey given that the location was not in the heart of the downtown area. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and courteous. My only complaint would be the parking. It was incredibly full because there was a wedding there, but at least there was an elevator up to the 5th level.

Very nice room and very clean. But, that the rooms are very noisy at night and you can hear everything in the room next to you. The walls are paper thin! Drinks in the lounge are very expensive but good.

This was a GREAT hotel staff was very nice and helpful, and the complementary breakfast was better than an IHOP! Rooms were very clean and modern. The hotel is walking distance from the Country Club Plaza which is a must see at night, lots of great places to eat also. Overall I was extremely satisfied with my stay and plan on going back soon.

The hotel was well appointed, well maintained and very very comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff was courteous, helpful and attentive without being overly so. Overall, we were very satisfied with the stay.

I would have liked to known ahead of time about the $15 per day charge for parking. Otherwise, the hotel was great. The pool was much smaller than appears in the picture - it is a lap pool. Work out room had plenty of equipment. There is a shuttle that will take you to and from the plaza - this was nice since it rained all weekend.

Nice hotel. Very good location. (Although if you actually want to stay ON the Plaza, this isn't technically right in the middle of it; it's a bit of a walk away.) The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Cons: #1, You have to pay a considerable daily rate for internet access. What?! To me, that's just insulting. There's free wireless everywhere; […] I'm paying a decent amount to stay in the hotel and I can't have free wifi? #2, You have to pay for parking, and it's not cheap. Staying in the hotel for two nights, we just couldn't justify it, so we parked on the surrounding streets and walked. That said, there isn't great street parking around the hotel, so it was a hassle and not very close. All things considered, it wasn't a bad stay, but we won't be staying somewhere again where you have to pay for internet and parking when there are so many surrounding hotels that you don't. The hotel was beautiful, and its location was perfect for me. The staff was courteous and helpful. But parking in the hotel garage was a problem. There was an additional $15 daily charge to park in the hotel garage, and a $19 daily charge for valet parking. The porte cochere at the lobby entry was small and choked with cars, and so I chose the valet […] parking option. Besides that, on my initial try at self parking my car, the parking garage two-way drive lanes seemed narrow and scary. The two times I had a valet retrieve my car, I waited about 20 minutes before my car arrived - which seemed excessively slow for the amount charged - plus, the valet hinted that a tip was expected. The hotel staff are to be commended on their courtesy and helpfulness from beginning to end. The room was very comfortable. The only "downside", the wallpaper in the bathroom by the sink is in need of repair. The ceiling in the room has had repair work done which was quite obvious. The hotel is within walking distance of the "Plaza".

The Marriott Country Club Plaza gave us the best service we have EVER had at a hotel. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy, including complimentary upgrades and drinks at the bar! We will definitely stay with them again!!

Service was friendly and location is good but walls are paper-thin (and next door guests can be noisy). Only two elevators seemed to be working. Exiting garage using key is a big headache -- line of 10 cars trying to exit while system repeatedly rejects room keys as guest try to exit.

Great Staff! From the Valet; Front Desk; House Keeping, and Room Services the staff was positive, friendly and helpful. New central elevators will hopefully expedite the time to/from upper room(s)-when they installed. Marriott higher quality rooms. The convenient coffee bar could have longer weekend hours.

We frequent Kansas City Plaza area. We have stayed in all of the hotels in the area and just love the Marriot! Especially after all of the renovations. Convient location, friendly staff, prompt shuttle service, respectable price! Always enjoy our stay!

The bed was too soft and our backs hurt after waking up. The room was too close to the elevator and ice machine so we could hear everything outside our room. The room didn't have a fridge. The people were very nice and respectible but the room was not worth the $200+ for one night.

You get dinged for using internet and parking, but otherwise it is a really excellent deal! If using more than one wifi device (I used ipad, iphone and laptop) they will try charging for each. Make sure they don't!
