"Near the Red Line JFK/UMass Stop"
The people were friendly and the prices were better than downtown. It is a little ways from city center, but near the Red Line which can take you right into the heart of Boston. The worst thing is that you have to pay for internet service in your hotel room, but they do offer it for free in the lobby (not a total consolation, but is better than not […] hing). "Easy T ride to downtown Boston"
Great staff. Walls are very thin, but if you don't have 50 high schoolers staying there as we did, it should not be a problem.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Acceptable for the Price"
The price was right, but our room furnishings were in pretty poor condition. It looked like they put together mismatched furniture and decor that was getting thrown out from other hotels. The lobby and common areas looked remodeled and the TV looked brand new, though.Genuine Expedia guest review
This isn't by any means a luxury hotel. It is fine but nothing outstanding. It was close to the T (train station) which was super helpful (and the main reason we selected it). There are not many restaurants or stores in the area. So this is a great hotel if you just need a quick place to stay- reasonably priced, and clean enough.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice place, good location, confortable room and very good price.Genuine Expedia guest review
Beds are extremely comfortable and location is good for UMass - Boston.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location for mass transit"
Not many restaurants or bars nearby by the location of the train in Boston is excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location just outside of the city"
I was looking to be close to the city without paying to be right in the city. This hotel is within walking distance of the JFK redline stop and you can be downtown in less than 20 min. Parking was 10 dollars and I got a great rate on the hotel. I would definitely stay there again if I wanted easy access to the city.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is the second time staying at this hotel. I found my stay, both times, to be very comfortable and not too over priced. I do wish that there were more breakfast places within walking distance of the hotel, but then again being so close to a T station it kind of doesn't matter. The hotel has a market place cafe downstairs.. it's okay but better worth […] your money to go elsewhere. Overall, the room was comfortable and clean; the staff were very friendly; parking available. I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quick and easy overnight stay"
Always like the Double Tree Hotels. They are attractively decorated and spacious enough for your overnight needs. Will return to the hotel again n the near future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel staff was SUPER helpful and friendly. Gave us all information about T, airport, and shuttle services. Had a taxi waiting at 4am to take us to the ariport as well. Warm cookies at check in are a nice touch.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Quality hotel close to Downtown Boston and surrounding areas. The best part is its proximity to the Red Line (JFK/UMASS station), and the free shuttle to and from Boston Logan...you'll never have to take a cab anywhere! Good value when compared to other hotels in downtown, and especially North End. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice room and convenient to the "T""
The hotel was nicely furnished and the staff was polite. The rooms were nice and seemed to have been renovated recently. No complaints, altthough one might argue that the rates were a little pricey.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great experience for stranded traveler"
The cafe food is surprisingly good. My only critique is that the computers in the business center never quite worked for me.Genuine Expedia guest review
When I arrived at 1am after driving 4.5 hours from NY, they actually told us that they overbooked the night so we should go to other hotels to stay for one night.....I was very upset of it.....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to the Red Line"
This hotel is very close to the JFK library stop on the Red Line. It can certainly be walked-to with a rolling carry-on bag, and there's a shuttle van that may be able to be called for. If you cannot afford downtown hotels, but need to be in town, and cannot stand driving in Boston, this provides proximity to downtown via the T-system. The hotel and […] its grounds are clean, and my room was comfortable and well-appointed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"One positive, next to the T."
Only good thing about this hotel is the staff, nice and helpful regarding getting around the city. The hotel is located near the T (the metro system in Boston). However, over priced wifi service($12.95 per day in room but free in lobby), poor and over priced food in hotel, nasty and poorly functioning fridge in hotel room. The shuttle going from the […] hotel to Logan airport goes only hourly, at the top of the hour, and you have to call ahead. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Boston - relatively affordable with good T access"
Good Hotel, in what seems to be a good neighborhood, with easy and quick access (3 minute walk) to the T. Staff seemed helpful. Free internet in the lobby.Genuine Expedia guest review
"GREAT HOTEL WITH FRIENDLY STAFF"
The staff was very courteous and helpful. They have a shuttle service to a local restaurant and a 5 minute walk to the train for about a 15 minute ride into Boston. The room was big and very clean with refreshing shower, and a small refrigerator to put drinks in. We would definitely stay here again. They even made arrangements for a rental car to be […] delivered to hotel and pickup at hotel for a day trip to Cape Cod. The courtesy shuttle to airport is very clean and well maintained and driver very nice. Only drawback is that breakfast is not free unless you are Hilton Honor member and is only food place close to hotel. But food purchased there was fresh and hot when served. If we ever return to Boston and this hotel is very high on our list to stay at. Good value for the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for anyone."
Very convenient for my specific visit. Quiet. Water view. Safe. Very friendly staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
It exceded my expectations. Close to the T station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location to major points"
One would not expect from Hilton such outdated room furnishings and an interier for the price charged.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to universities but nothing else"
The staff at the hotel was very nice and helpful. The cost to eat the hotel was expensive and there are NO resturants around the area. You have to either drive a ways or take public transport back to the city to find a place to eat. The harbor is very nice to look at and walk around. "Convenient to the subway"
Convenient location for the red line subway. Good clean and comfortable rooms. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only draw back was that there are no choices for restaurants in this area within walking distance. Good cookies!!Genuine Expedia guest review
I spent 3 nights with my family in Boston and this hotel was an excellent addition to our trip. The hotel has a nice/new look, the rooms are big, clean and beds better impossible. There's a Starbucks in the lobby with drinks, some food and snacks, pretty convenient; there's also a Shaw's supermarket one block away and there's a T station two blocks […] from the hotel (5-10 min walking) the hotel also offers a shuttle to the T station and to the airport Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to City Center but Less Expensive"
The hotel is very quiet but is relatively isolated. There are no restaurants, shops, or other conveniences within a short walking distance. It is, however, a short walk to the "T" Redline station, which takes you quickly to the downtown center of Boston and to connections to other subway lines and transit options. It's also a very short drive to Logan, […] but avoid rush hour traffic if you expect to get there quickly. The food that is available at the hotel is limited and mediocre at best. There is no complimentary breakfast. Given the room rates of downtown Boston hotels, I found this to be a good choice when trying to watch the travel budget but still be within a few minutes to the center of Boston. If time permits, a walk or drive along Old Harbor and Columbus Park is pleasant and easy, and a walk along the beach is worth the time if the weather cooperates. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Good place but something was missing. I can not put my finger on it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"way too much expensive for just a bed"
the hotel is clean and confortable. You only pay for a bed, $250.00 + for a bed. water food, anythibng and everything is extra and quite no percks no nothiuingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A good well equipped hotel, close to transport"
As my rating indicates this hotel was generally very good: clean, well equipped with all the basics, and a very helpful staff. There were a few small things that were either strange or not so good: The use of internet was strange. They told us that we could use it for free in the lounge area. This was true but in fact we were able to use it for free […] in our room as well even though our room was nowhere near the lounge. They did not say that this was an option. We were told that if you wanted WIFI in your room you had to purchase a connection plan. It was only because I tried to connect as if I was in the lounge that I found out that it still worked well in the room. I think that the WIFI should be included in the room cost and that this should be made clear. The exercise room was very small and had only 2 treadmills, 1 stepper and a weight machine. A stationary bicycle and a bit more room would have been very welcome. Breakfast can be expensive since there is only an onsite Starbucks nearby. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!! Beds are very uncomfortable!!! Staff doesn't clean room well!!!! The price for this hotel was out ragious for what you get!! I've stayed in cheaper hotels ALOT nicer than this!!! Do not stay here!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I thought that the A/C in our hallway third floor was a little cold. We had a vent right outside our room and was shocking every time we left our room. Also the cafe downstairs on sunday morning was really SLOW. They did not have it staffed properly for the amount of customers. We must have waited 10 minutes after we had our food just to pay and go […] sit down to eat it. It was obviously not as hot as it was when we received it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was quite nice and room was clean. Clock didn't have correct time. AC turned on but when it cycled off, never went back on. I mentioned this to the front desk before checking out and was told it would be taken care of.Genuine Expedia guest review
Good clean hotel close to where I needed to be. Only complaint is that I thought we were past the days of charging for Internet access. Please stop nickel and diming your customers! Thanks!Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was definitely nice, but since I wasn't here for business, I didn't have an expense account with which to purchase internet access. For the price I paid, free wifi would have been nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel indicated that breakfast was included, it was not, but there was a cafe with food available to buy. The proximity to the T was great, the $10 parking fee per day was not. The WiFi charge was also per day, and per device, which quickly added up the total for our room. The staff was very helpful and courteous though and the hotel itself was […] very clean and well maintained. I would stay again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Bad introduction to my cruise"
The a/c groaned and rumbled all night, no room service, no free wi i Fi. However the shuttle driver was very nice and went out if his way to help usGenuine Expedia guest review
Very convenient when visiting family in South Boston.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great for a moderate budget"
this hotel is excellent if you are on moderate budget and can't find a hotel in downtown. As it is very near to a T-stop (on red line), commute to anywhere in downtown is easy. The cafeteria is also good, though a regular restaurant would be nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
Pretty decent for the price. No pool and the vending machines were not working and the internet was terrible. Best part was the cleanliness and connectivity.Genuine Expedia guest review
The stay was great! The hotel was great. The service was great. My biggest complaint was there was no where close by to eat and the cafe was fine for breakfast but not dinner and I didn't feel safe getting off the t stop in the dark so we had to eat early in oston or eat at the cafe.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean, helpful staff, great location, overall wonderfulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice room w/good access to T stop"
This hotel was comfortable, conveniently located at a reasonable price. Staff was helpful and check-in/checkout was a breeze. The only downside was the $10 per day parking fee. Having Starbucks right in the hotel was good however the staff in there were kind of rude.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Room was clean, but older. It would have been nice if the room had a refrigerator so that we could have stored a couple of water bottles. Boston is hot in July! The hotel is relatively close to one of Boston's T stations so getting around the city is simple. Only major complaint was the internet service. We […] tried to use the business center's internet several times, and they must still be using a dial-up connection. The internet speed was atrocious, to the point that we gave up twice... but, for the price of the hotel compared to those downtown, this was a very good value. liked mostly everything. wished it had included continental breakfast. shouldn't have to pay for parking. had a great stay and the service and staff were remarkable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Did the job..."
The hotel is in a very convenient location close to Fenway and Southie. It is also a good value for the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the hotel itself could use a little work. Overall, worth the money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel for a good price"
What a great way to start your stay with a delicious warm cookie! This hotel is very well kept, clean, roomy, & a friendly staff. It is outside of the city center area, so it is cheaper than those in town, but it is only a half mile from the T (subway), which is only a few stops from downtown. I would heartily recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Evrything was great, except for the in-hotel restaurant. there was NONE. Only a deli, with no hot food, and only sandwiches.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to T & affordable compared to other downtown"
I took a chance on this hotel as some ratings were not too good BUT I REALLY enjoyed my stay and found the hotel to be clean, no plumbing issues, and easy to access dowtown via 5 minute walk to the T. Free internet in the lobby. Parking is 10 but this is much less than any other parking available dowtown. I would stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel clerks and shuttle service staff were very helpful and friendly. Our bathroom had hair left on the floor, though. The expo center next to the hotel was run down and a bit of an eyesore. No attention paid to it's grounds or upkeep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
""Near "T" , Expo Center, U Mass""
We stayed for 3 nights. First day after be gone all day came back to room to find that our room was not cleaned. Second day they made the bed and cleaned bathroom however did not vacuum. Over all comfort and condition of hotel was great. One block from the T. No restaurant or stores nearby.Genuine Expedia guest review
