Candlewood Suites Chicago-O'Hare - Schiller Park 41.95139, -87.88563

We were impressed with this hotel from the moment we drove up. Well lit, clean parking lot, safe neighborhood. Inside, we were warmly greeted and quickly in our room. One light was out so they immediately moved us to the room next door. Their recommendation of a restaurant was a good one - and we enjoyed superb food. Finally, on arrival at home, we discovered that a glasses case and shirt had inadvertently been left behind. They fell all over themselves to find it and quickly get it in the mail to us... gratis. THAT is customer service... we'd go back there in a heartbeat! p.s. very convenient to O'Hare, too

Candlewood Suites are great places to say, comforts of home, friendly staff, and all the convience right on site.. I'm hooked on this chain and the price is great, expect me back..

Hotel is not close to anything. The rooms were awful. Internet availability is very misleading. This place was just a hole in the wall. Will not even consider staying at any of their other locations.

Very comfortable hotel, perfect for a hibernation from a layover in Ohare.

+ I had trouble with the airport shuttle - had to call three times. The Candlewood Suites 800 number gave me wrong information on the shuttle. When I got the hotel directly, they corrected that but still told me the shuttle had a sign with Candlewood Suites in the window. It's not true - you have to know that the Van marked Park n Jet services Candlewood Suites. Shuttle worked great going back to aiport. + they advertise a driver for short local trips. He had gone home already. The hotel is conveniently on the airport access road but there is nothing available in walking distance. Fortunately the hotel has a small conveniece store for some frozen meals, etc. + All rooms have only 1 bed in them. I was expecting 2 beds for the 2 people. My fault for not checking + Free laundry and free computer with internet access - very nice + Clean hotel, nice hotel staff

DESK STAFF HELPFUL BUT WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANY NON SMOKING ROOMS FOR OUR PARTY OF 6 - 3 SEPARATE ROOMS - DID OFFER ROOM DEODORIZER. IF YOU NEED NON SMOKING, THINK AGAIN - IF NOT THIS PLACE IS WORTH THE MONEY.

While the hotel was very clean and nicely appointed, the night service staff was very rude and uncooperative. I waited over an hour at the airport for the shuttle and their only comment was "well what do you expect me to do?" Great location - hire new staff!

Like others have said above, the floor of the shower was dirty. The service of the personnel changes as their shifts' change. It is nice having a mini store attached for any loose item you may need, overall great stay.

Considering the price of the room, I expected it to just have a bed, a bathroom, a TV, and a phone. However, even the cheapest rooms come with a small kitchen area. They come with a refrigerator, a freezer, a sink, a dishwasher, a toaster, a microwave, and a stove, plus all the utensils you could possibly need. The only thing that's missing is an oven. The rooms are fairly large in size and are perfect for one or two people. The TV doesn't get very many channels, but it does have HBO. I recommend bringing some VHS tapes or DVDs if you want something to watch; the room has a VCR/DVD player. Room service is also available and there is a convenience store on sight, so you may not even have to leave the hotel if you get hungry. The hotel is conveniently located in front of an Enterprise Rent-a-Car, which has shuttles to and from the airport, making transportation very easy and convenient. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Chicago.

Fantastic kitchenette for families. Located right next to the airport. Very clean and very friendly service. Television sets include DVD and VHS. Lots of family friendly channels. A great home away from home type of stay.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and the toilent was broken and never got fixed. Even though it was reported to front desk a few times. Very very bad experience and rooms was never cleaned by maintenance crew at all.

It was a very good hotel for the price, it's basically a little apartment with the kitchen and everything. They also let you borrow movies from the front counter for free and they had some good ones. But they only provide housekeeping once a week and what if it was on saturday and you stayed mon-fri? You actually have to go down to the front desk to get anything you might need. It really isn't close to anything except the O'hare airport, and not to mention you have to pay an 80cent toll everytime you want to go to and from the hotel.
