"Good hotel for the price."
This hotel is great for kids 10 and under. It is a bit older and not as fancy, but the staff is excellent. If the weather would have been warmer, it would have been a huge plus. However, when it is cold there isn't much to do, if you plan on staying around the resort all day. The shows are definitely geared to the little kids and my four-yr-old was […] entertained, but my 7-yr-old was a bit bored. If you are planning trips to the parks, then this is a great option. And getting to meet all the Nick characters is nice, since you don't have to stand in lines for hours like at Disney/Universal. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"My grandchildren (2) enjoyed the facilities."
The hotel was beautiful. My grandchildren enjoyed the swimming and the double or dare game where they participated. The hotel room was awesome and comfortable. I wished we could have spent more time there. Next time we will stay there for several days. The manager was professional, and helpful. I was asking people for directions to the main lobby which […] they did not know. Then a beautiful black lady come down the hallway to help me. She said she heard me asking for directions and came to my aid. I asked her who she was and what she did there at the hotel. To my surprise! she stated, I'm one of the manager. She was so amiable, and walked with me to show me the way to the main lobby. She was the icing and cake to my experience with the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not worth a dime"
If u plan on staying here, plan on paying for everything extra. $20 in arcade gets u 10 games on most machines. U have to pay to see double dare, pay to see characters, pay $10 a drink, pay for laser tag, pay for movies. Way more expensive than disney and has way less to offer. Hotel room was filthy. Bath non slip mat was putting slimy white stuff in […] my kids bath. Made me want to puke. Housekeeping was blooming the carpet not vacuuming. Gross. Large pools were heated but slides, play areas, and baby pools were ice cold. Not happy with anything at this place accept the dinner with ninja turtles was cool. I'd pass on the breakfast with sponge bob because it wasn't much of a show and not much time with characters. Only reason we went was for tmnt I'll tell people to never visit here. Because honestly everything was dirty and old. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wasn't a good experience with front desk."
It wasn't a good experience with the front desk staff. Leon was very professional but the rest of the staff was focused on selling time share with Sheraton. It was our sons 5th bday and we wanted to make it special. We called in a maintenance issue and christie at the guest services tone was rude with us. Easy fix by management and customer service. […] Edna in mall guest services was courteous and friendly even gave the bday boy a pin that he should have gotten at the front desk. Housekeeping, parking staff was great. Character dinner was an hr and rushed (not sure why). The food service staff stares at your plate and watch you a lot (not sure why either). Not as good as expected - will not return due to personal preference and competitive venue - need to step it up! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"My 3 boys say Best Hotel Ever!!!"
Total fun, entertainment & relaxation all in one spot! The staff was super friendly, helpful & made our stay easy & enjoyable. The have daily free shows & activities. You can spend $20/per person for unlimited 4D movies & the laser maze, totally worth it (good for your entire stay). We saw Double Dare live. We had breakfast with Spongebob & the gang […] in the morning...woooah that was definately worth the experience. Its a good buffet, $15/kids, $20/adults and you are entertained. Pools & waterparks are beautiful, fun, warm clean water. Lots of warm fresh towels, hot tub for adults, mini golf...etc. plan to stay a few days, bring some extra money for resort fun & make that your vacation! Overall a wonderful family experience. "Waste of money!"
Would never waste my time or money again! Very disappointed! Over priced, extremely small rooms, terrible food, terrible service, rooms are outdated and not enough living space! Very disgusted! I have absolutely nothing positive to say about our stay there! Any family could stay at a five star resort for this price! Wished I had researched more. There […] is nothing in walking distance, have to drive everywhere you go, parking is aweful, pools are overcrowded WHEN they choose to open them! Just sorry that I disappointed my children! "No longer a good place"
I have been coming here since 1999 since it was called Holiday inn but I guess they must be under a budget cut or new owners because I come here with my kids 9 times a year and this was the first time they changed the food in the buffet you pay a lot of money to get frozen bread no longer do they have pasta, chicken nuggets, hamburger, all my kids could […] eat was pizza, and i'm allergic to sell fish and fish so I can only eat ham and a turkey because the prime rib meat was awful. The breakfast buffet was worse the used to have sponge bob waffles, and amazing bisque and gravy, and french toast sticks that is no longer avl. so now you get frozen donuts, frozen bread, and enjoy fruits and yogurt for a lot of money. I will now have to look for another place to take my family. But I will say the service is still amazing and pool entertainment is still great Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"We all make mistakes"
We all make mistakes. Mine was booking this hotel. My family of four (two adults, two boys 13,10) chose this hotel for its proximity to Disney and Universal along with the attractive photos showing the water park. At check-in, we were directed to the guest services desk which appeared to be a concierge type counter. Since we were interested in the […] theme parks, it sounded interesting because the staff kept telling us to book tickets through them for discounted tickets. We were told more than a couple times that it was a special rate available only at check-in. We decided to pass and at the end of the twenty minute conversation it was explained to us that we could come back and book later but we should look for this staff member specifically because "we are all on commission and I want the credit". I was stunned. I did return the next morning because the discounted tickets were a good deal it seemed. After discussing it further with the guest services person, we realized that the only way we were to receive discounted tickets was to sit through a promotional presentation on the Sheraton across the street. I felt betrayed and flat out mad that I had wasted my time looking into this "deal". The hotel looked like the outside had been painted recently, but the room itself was dingy. The room had a queen and two twins. The twin mattresses were stiff like army cots. Not exagerrating. The main room sofa was fairly stained and no one wanted to sit on it. No space to type mor Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A very dated and dirty room."
The rooms are very dated and dirty. To start our stay we had 6 people in our party and when we arrived in our room we determined there was only bedding for 4 people. When we called housekeeping for additional pillows and blankets, we were told they were out of pillows and bedding. It took a trip to the front desk to demand additional pillows and blankets […] for our kids. After that first day, things just went downhill. The problems in the room were out of control. Things like ... the shower would not drain, toilet would not flush, anything you put on the floor had a musty/mold type smell, the carpet was very dirty and the bathroom had a lot of mold around the tub, sink and toilet. Kids had a blast. They should've mentioned at check-in that some of the activities on the brochure were not available....it's disappointing finding out later, but the pool, arcade, and sliming made up for it. We stayed 3 days - 2 would have done it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just average, but the pool was fun for kiddos!"
We were staying in the Orlando area for 6 nights to go to a football game, go to Disney, and see some sights. The hotel was family friendly and our toddler had fun in the pool area. We liked the variety of restaurants on site. One thing we didn't realize when we booked the trip was that the 2nd bedroom with twin beds for a kid wasn't actually a "bedroom" […] - it was open to the living room. As we wanted to stay up later at night, we gave up the queen suite so we could close the door and our toddler would sleep! Our biggest complaint was that housekeeping couldn't ever seem to get it right - we had to call twice to have clean towels brought to our room (even though they had taken the dirty ones), and on another day they didn't put trash bags back into the cans after emptying them. Great Nick characters. We did TMNT pizza dinner, an expensive buffet. But hey, it's Orlando theme park territory. Saw other characters in the mall. Pools are decent. "Untidy Hotel with least comfort"
Worst experience with worst furniture with bed bugs .Genuine Expedia guest review
I ve read some negative reviews about this hotel and almost canceled but decided to give it a try. I think it is an outstanding resort for families with young kids. My 3 and 12 year old daughters had a blast at the pool, minigolf and waterslides. The breakfast buffett was delicious and cheap. The staff were supernice and helpful. The 2 bedroom theme […] suite was nice enough although it is obviously a bit older and some new paint and fixtures would lift the appearance. Overall I felt it s great value for the money and we had a great stay over New Years'. The location is very convenient to disney and universal. It seems expensive enough that you are not overwhelmed by the low class rifraf at the pool. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Be ready to pay more than double your room rate"
The most uncomfortable beds in Orlando. When the pull out couch is the most comfortable bed in your suite, that's not a good thing. This place caters to kids, but it wouldn't hurt to have a few more amenities for adults that are also staying in the hotel; free coffee (or even good coffee), better/healthier meal options, a gym (may have one, but I never […] found it), etc. Be prepared to pay double (or more) what you are actually paying for the rooms. EVERYTHING in this hotel costs an arm and a leg. They charge outrageous fees for a breakfast buffet that would be a free continental breakfast in any other hotel. The prices for anything in this hotel are way over the top. And to make it worse, it's not near any restaurants, so you are almost forced to eat at the hotel unless you are ready to sit in a whole lot of traffic to get anywhere. Don't take the shuttles to the parks either. It's much better to drive and park than using the shuttles. The one good thing that I have to say is that the employees who work there are incredibly nice and very good at their job. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Fun for kids, rooms are very old and outdated. Food court was overpriced and not very good. Staff was pleasant, upbeat, and nice. Wouldn't return, paid way too much for this hotel. "Fun amenities, great staff; rooms need a facelift"
Our stay at the Nick hotel was a mixed experience. The amenities are plentiful, with two separate pool and water slide configurations for big kids, and smaller water features for toddlers. The pools also have big shallow areas for small kids. Our kids had a blast swimming and exploring the slides. There's also a basketball court and mini golf. There's […] a small indoor food court onsite with some wallet-friendly choices for eating. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful. The rooms themselves were configured well for families (we had a 2-bedroom suite) but are definitely in need of a facelift. The quality of the decor and furnishings were on par with a Red Roof Inn. We didn't find things to be dirty, just dated. The bedding was skimpy, not plush and comfy. They did have flat-screens in every room though. There was a Ninja Turtle meet and greet we caught the end of, and a dance party at night but the characters do not stick around for long enough. There are also shuttles to all the major parks. All in all, not bad for the price (around $200/night high season), and kids will enjoy the surroundings and amenities, but know what to expect as far as the rooms go. I am not used to staying at the Ritz, I typically stay at Marriotts. This doesn;t even come close to a holiday inn. The rooms are dates, only sheets on beds, no blankets. Water park was horribly maintained. Not worth even an 89.00 rate. Go elsewhere.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was okay, not great. We weren't expecting much based on reviews, but we decided to travel down to Florida at the last minute. I agree with other reviews that say the hotel needs a complete overhaul. Pool and waterslides were the highlight of the hotel. Room (2 BR suite) was spacious, and kids had room to move around. Food was not good on site, […] burger was barely edible. Laundry room had 6 working washing machines, but only one working dryer. "Try it, you'll like it"
We stayed here the week after Xmas-New Years with our two daughters-age 3&6. We had a great time. Our kids aren't really even into nickelodeon characters but still loved meting them everyday. The resort is definitely geared towards families so be prepared for noise in the mall area. But it is not out of control at all. Kids are kids, but the resort […] does a great job of having adult friendly spaces and there are enough areas for kids to play in like the arcade, large pools for different ages and swimming levels and evening activities that are fun for all. The common areas are incredibly clean and spacious. Food at the bar/lounge cafe is the only place you will find a vegetable otherwise it's pizza, burgers, ice berg lettuce and French fries. The furniture in the rooms could use some sprucing up, but again the 2-bedroom suite we were in was the rigt amount of space. Nice for kids to have seperate sleeping space & own tv. The resort is less than 30 minutes from Disney, depending on traffic, so it's a great place to stay if you are going to do the parks. We didn't and still had a good time. We stayed in the hotel 2 days because of bad weather and weren't bored because they had movies and laser thing. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We were excited to stay at Nickelodeon while visiting Universal Studios for two days. We have four boys, ages 15, 11, 9, and 6. We were disappointed in the room when we got there. It smelled musty and the toilet seat would not stay up on its own. The couch that pulls out was right by the kitchen area, not leaving much room to move around. The rooms […] are definitely outdated. What we did enjoy was the pool at night with Christmas lights and music. Since we were at the parks all day, we didn't have much time to enjoy the pool. We would not stay at this hotel again. "One man's opinion"
Frankly I would not stay here again. For the price the rooms provide the minimum in comfort and the general noise level between rooms is excessive. The hotel is showing its age and needs several improvements to compete in the current market. If you have very young kids I’m sure there will enjoy the “petri dish” swimming pool and the Nickelodeon characters […] in the café but it will wear thin soon enough. The location is good if your goal is Disney World but be prepared for major traffic especially during the December timeframe. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Very nice hotel for people of all ages. I went with my husband, my 6 year old son, 9 year old nephew, and 6 month old daughter. We were all very impressed how clean, and big the rooms are. The kids room is private, and we get our own room! I put my baby in the living room in her own bed. It was perfect! The pools are all very fun with the many slides. […] The pool water is heated! The character breakfast was fun too, and the waiters were very attentive and friendly. The food was good, I didn't like my coffee, but that's the only problem I had. The waiter went to get me coffee from Starbucks next door! We went to the double dare live show, and they picked my son to be part of the show. Super cool! "Poor facilities, poor housekeeping staff."
The best thing about this "resort" was the pool, which was clean and well maintained. Constantly found stray hairs in "clean" bath towels, had to call housekeeping 3 times on a 6 night stay to request towels because they never showed or only did the job 1/2 way (took all towels but didn't leave clean ones). Found extreme differences in pricing ON THE […] RESORT for exact same items (goggles were $6.99 at the pool, but $12.95 at the store in the building behind the pool, exact same SKU number). They claim to have dining on premise, which they do, but only have Subway and Pizza shop open consistently. There is a buffet that is breakfast only and a dining facility that is dinner only - across the hall from each other. The dinner buffet was the exact same every night. We didn't rent a car because of how the resort presented itself, by the time I realized we needed one it was too late and cars were impossible to find. The rooms remind me of a low budget hotel. Every time we encountered housekeeping in the hallways, I found them unfriendly and even rude, as if we were inconveniencing them by being in the elevator. HOWEVER, the remainder of the staff was excellent - friendly, helpful and a great group. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"For the price, not terrible"
It seems this hotel puts all of its effort into maintaining the pool areas a lot more than the rooms themselves. Our room (a two-room suite) didn't look like it had been vacuumed, there were stains on the carpet and walls. The pools were great, tons of seating around them, and lots of fun activities going on all the time. Our one complaint about the […] pools is that they all close at 9pm, with no adults only hours, or late hours. They have a food court with a morning buffet, a Starbucks, a Subway, a take-out pizza shop, and a dine-in restaurant. The Starbucks was your typical experience. Subway was great. The full serve restaurant left a LOT to be desired. It's very clear they want you to spend the $25 per person for the buffet. Anything ordered off the menu took no less than 45 minutes to arrive after we ordered - and the restaurant was never more than 30% full. They have tons of servers, so each server only has two or three tables. Two out of the four shuttles we took to parks were significantly late - one over an hour late. The drivers were friendly, though, and it's no too far of a ride to the Disney parks. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
